A DEBBIE-DABBLE CHRISTMAS: 2018

Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!

Today, I will be taking you on a Tour of our townhouse decorated for Christmas, room by room and I will be revealing how many decorated Trees I have for this holiday Season!!!!

I read a post the other day where the author complained that it took her 4 days to decorate!!!!

I laughed!!!

HYSTERICALLY!!!!!

People often ask me how long it takes for me to decorate my entire house.....

Now I have to say that I not only pack up all my normal everyday things but I also clean them so that I will not have to do it when I unpack them to put them back out.

I also give each room a good cleaning so that all I do is dust with Swifter dusters for the rest of the Holiday Season.....

Well, here is the breakdown:

Upstairs Hallway: 1 day
Upstairs Bathroom: 1 day
Master Bedroom: 1-2 days
Sitting Room: 2-3 days
Craft Room: 2 -3 days
Front of the House: 2-3 days
Living Room: 4 days
Dining Room: 2-3 days
Kitchen: 2 days
Powder Room: 1-2 days
Den: 2-3 days
Doll House: 1 day

So it takes me roughly 25 days!!!!!

I start the upstairs in September right after I finish decorating the downstairs for Fall and Halloween and I am finished with the upstairs by the end of October.....

I start taking down Fall and Halloween on November 1st and start decorating for Christmas as soon as Fall and Halloween are all packed up!!

Keep in mind that I still work........3 days one week and 4 days the other week.......7 days in a 2 week pay period!!!!

We will start the Tour outside of our townhouse........

You have to walk up 13 steps to get to the sidewalk that runs in front of our row of 10 townhouses.....

When you get to the top of the steps, this is what you see.......

I am pretty much going to let the pictures do the talking in this post except for counting the decorated Christmas Trees........

A 4 foot Tree decorated with vintage Shiny Brite ornaments in red, gold and green.......

Tree #2......

A 7 foot Tree decorated with Victorian style ornaments in red, green and gold......

The Dining Room.......

These 2 gold Trees decorated with white snowflakes are Trees #3 and #4.....

If I hung or there are some type of ornaments on the Tree, I count it , no matter the size!!!

This 7 foot pencil Tree is decorated with Victorian style ornaments in pink, white and gold.....

The Kitchen.......

This 4 1/2 foot Tree is decorated with gingerbread, candy and Christmas Kitchen ornaments....

Tree #7.......

This 1 foot Tree was rescued from being donated to Salvation Army by my neighbor Elly's sons who are cleaning out her home since she passed away.....

It is decorated with candy ornaments, cookie cutters and a few berries......

The Powder Room.......

This 3 foot Tree is decorated with Snow buddy ornaments, snowflake and icicle ornaments and silver balls......

This 4 1/2 foot Tree is decorated with Victorian style and Thomas Kinkade ornaments in burgundy, ivory and gold....

This LED branch Tree is decorated with Victorian style ornaments....

There are decorated Trees in the Doll House so I am counting them!!!!

This Victorian style feather Tree is decorated with ornaments of children from the 1940's and the 1950's...

I aso rescued this Tree from Salvation Army as my neighbor's sons were going to donate it.....

I decorated it with tiny white mitten ornaments......

This 4 foot Tree is decorated with ornaments of Victorian style hats, gloves, shoes, dress forms and even dressers and dresser chairs.....

Tree #20 and yes, I painstakingly hung mini ornaments on this vintage gold tinsel Tree!!!

This 1 foot Tree is decorated with Pittsburgh Steeler and Penguin ornaments......

This little Tree is decorated with a vintage Angel topper that was mine as a child and pink ornaments.....

This 6 foot Tree is decorated with ornaments in the colors of aqua, green, bright pink, lavender and silver and also some vintage Shiny Brite ornaments and our family ornaments with a few Victorian style ornaments.....

Total of 28 decorated Trees with 5 of them inside of my Victorian Doll House!!!!
