I Will Honour Christmas In My Heart

I will honour Christmas in my heart,
and try to keep it all the year.
I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future.
The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me.
I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!

Traditional Christmas in the Living Room, More Table Vignettes & Hallway, Christmas Home Tour, 2024

Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog!!

Every room in our townhouse has a different Christmas Theme and Color Scheme!!

I prove that you do not have to live in a large home to have several Trees, over 20, in all shapes and sizes!!

The majority of my Christmas decorations are placed in the same room every year and I know that this is not what most Decorator's care for but to me, it like seeing old friends again when I decorate each year for Christmas as many of my decorations were gifts from family and friends...........

I do try to add a few new things and change up things a bit but for the most part, these decorations are part of my Christmas Traditions and bring back a lot of treasured memories.....

I post 3 TIMES A WEEK on MONDAY, THURSDAY AND SATURDAYS.....

As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In my last post, I shared the main Christmas Tree in my Living Room, decorated in Victorian style and the Village underneath it....

Along with how the first snowfall of the Season made my outdoor Christmas decorations look all the better!!!

Click HERE if you missed that post!!

I want to Thank to Cindy, over at Country Roads, for choosing my post, New Tree, Pink Victorian Dining Room, as one of her features from last week's Farmhouse Friday Link Party!!

 Thanks so much, Cindy!!

Please stop by and link up to this delightful party!!

And now for a few Personal Notes...

Well, I FINALLY finished the Living Room!!

So far, this is how long it has taken me to decorate for Christmas this year....

2024

Front Porch and Yard - 3 days

Dining Room - 4 days

Powder Room - 2 days

Living Room - 10 days

Yes, the Living Room took me 10 days....

Why??

I took my time and enjoyed the process....

I tried to do things a bit differently and I had a lot of other things going on like places to go and events to attend.....

I was also busy this weekend....

On Saturday, I worked as the cashier for the Food Stand at my church's Craft Fair....

 Joe did it last year.....

I took his place this year.....

It was a restful day for me spent with good friends.....

 Me, Betty and Carol....

Barb, me, Betty and Carol.....

Always a good time and a lot of laughs!!

Here I am putting my chances in for the Basket Raffle ....

And I actually won a Basket!!!

Joe was always the lucky one.....not me!

An upcycled Tier Tray made from Vintage China....

I love it as it is made mainly with bowls instead of plates...

And 2 $10 Boscov's Gift Cards which I will be using shortly!!

Maybe Joe passed some of his luck onto me....

On Sunday, my sister Barb and I went to see Trans Siberian Orchestra at the Arena 5 minutes away from my house....

WOWZA!!!

Trans Siberian Orchestra did not disappoint with an entirely new show and a story that they have not told in over 10 years.....

It was amazing as always....

It was hard walking back into that Arena where I have been with Joe hundreds of times in the last 25 years.....

It was hard sitting one section over from our old Season Ticket seats for Hockey....

And since I saw TSO 21 times with Joe, it was hard being there to see them for the 22nd time without him....

But my sister, Barb, had my back and as long as we can, it will now be our tradition to go together....

Barb had not seen them in well over a decade.....

IT IS DEFINITELY CHRISTMAS NOW AS I ALWAYS SAY IT IS NOT CHRISTMAS UNTIL I SEE TSO!!!!

Today, I will be sharing 2 more table vignettes in the Living Room and the down stairs hallway decorated for Christmas....

We will start with the stereo table ......

The top of the stereo......

2 Santa's under glass.......

A Santa snow globe and vintage bottle brush trees......

I used poinsettia place mats on all the tables in the Living Room.....

A vintage Christmas tea cup and saucer.....

And a vintage mug that I placed my childhood knee huggers inside of......

With the milk glass hurricane style lamp on.....

 The cubby holes......

You may remember that my friend Mary gifted me 2 framed vintage Christmas cards.....

A vintage putz house and a Shiny Brite ornament......

A friend gifted me the lady head vase......

I crafted the bottle brush trees and used thread spools as the bases for them.....

 The other framed Christmas card.....

A snowman holding a red cardinal......

A Fitz and Floyd dish......

With a vintage reindeer planter in front of it.....

I bought this wooden sign in Gabes last year......

Across in the corner by the Dining Room........

On the wall......

One of a set of 4 embroidery hoops I made....

Gold cherubs....

2 more of the hoops were hung on the soffit.....

This year, I decided not to use the large Nativity set that I normally display here on this large round table.

So I used this Sam's Club set here instead......

I made this tree out of thread spools .....

It is a smaller version of one that my Dad made when I was a child....

Once again, I hung this large wreath on this faux window....

On the other side of the faux window......

 Another embroidery hoop.....

I also want to share the hallway downstairs in this post.....

This is a narrow hallway and almost impossible to get pictures of....

I hung a swag above the coat closet.....

I hung ornaments I made out of music sheet paper on it...

I hung ornaments from the door handles.....

 On the mirror.....

I hung this picture that lights up above the mirror.....

I made this wreath, using a plastic poinsettia from the 50's, last year.....

This year, I added ornaments that I made out of music sheet paper....

Below the wreath.....

The Santa, which is hand crafted, was sent to me by a reader of my blog....

It looks like the Santa on the ceiling tin tile that I ordered from Ebay many years ago........

Across on the Gallery wall......

I made this swag many years ago.....

And this is where I will leave off for today.....

  1. Your living room looks sensational! Very festive as always. It does look like a good time at the craft fair. I am so glad you have friends to hang out with there and I am sure it was well attended.
TSO looks mind blowing. I am glad you could overcome your memories and start new ones with your sister. It is a wonderful and joyful way to start the season and I am glad you could both enjoy it together. I do think Joe sent some luck your way.

  3. Congrats on winning that basket! The show looks like it was a lot of fun. I have always wanted to see TSO and yet we've never made the effort to get tickets and go. I really should add that to next year's list!
