Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!
I am so happy you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog!!
I prove that you do not have to live in a large home to have several Trees, over 20, in all shapes and sizes!!
The majority of my Christmas decorations are placed in the same room every year and I know that this is not what most Decorator's care for but to me, it like seeing old friends again when I decorate each year for Christmas as many of my decorations were gifts from family and friends...........

I do try to add a few new things and change up things a bit but for the most part, these decorations are part of my Christmas Traditions and bring back a lot of treasured memories.....
I post 3 TIMES A WEEK on MONDAY, THURSDAY AND SATURDAYS.....
As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In my last post, I shared how I decorated the buffet and the rest of the Dining Room in a pink, white and gold color theme for Christmas, completing my Tour of that room....
And now for a few Personal Notes...
Well, I finally finished the Dining Room, sharing the buffet in my last post......
I have been working in the Living Room now for well over a week.....
I took 2 days off, which I did not count, and have been taking my time as I have switched quite a few things around....
I finally did get the back yard cleaned up from all the leaves.....
And the furniture covered with tarps against the back of the house for the Winter.....
I hope to finish up the Living Room tomorrow ( Friday)...
So far, this is how long it has taken me to decorate for Christmas this year....
2024
Front Porch and Yard - 3 days
Dining Room - 4 days
Powder Room - 2 days
After I finish up the Living Room, I will be moving into the Kitchen and will finish it by Thanksgiving hopefully....
I have resigned myself to the fact that I will not get the Den decorated by Thanksgiving....
For about the last decade or more, I have tried to have the entire house all decorated for Christmas by Thanksgiving so I could sit back and enjoy the whole month of December with everything the Holidays have to offer....
This year, instead of decorating the Den the last week of October like I usually do, I enjoyed that last week of the Halloween Holiday...
So I am good with not being totally finished by Thanksgiving....
Today, I am going to start my Tour of the Living Room and share the top of the TV Entertainment Center that I treat like a "Mantel" and the tables on each side of it along with a vignette in front of it.....
The 3 tiered vintage table on the left side of the Entertainment Center.....
This Lenox house was gifted to me by a friend.....
This antique dated plate ( 1909 ) was gifted to me by my friend Anne Marie.....
The putz houses and trees are all vintage and were bought at an estate sale....
This is the only Byer's Choice figurine I have even thought they are hand crafted here in Pa.........
I did the top of the TV Entertainment Center a bit differently this year....
I bought these lamps in the Summer for the top of the TV Entertainment Center...
I still used this Sam's Club set that I bought in 2005....
I will get to the new garland in a minute.......
I used the vintage Tree that I found up in my neighbor Elly's attic when I was cleaning out her home for her sons......
I decorated it this year with gold snowflakes and these red jingle bells that Joe bought on clearance last year for 90% off....
I added a new garland that I bought this year in Gabes to the plain basic garland that I have keep up since last Christmas.....
I used another package of these red jingle bells to decorate it with and 3 red poinsettia flower clips.....
The red bells that I hung on each side came from Dollar Tree this year.....
I am happy with how the garland came out.....
In front to the TV Entertainment Center.....
I used this book box that I recently bought in Dollar Tree on one of the shelves.....
And a few more Bearington Bears......
To the right of the Entertainment Center, on the small round table.....
You may remember that I bought this Fenton amber basket in the Summer at a church flea market....
I finished this embroidered table topper when I had my knee replacement surgery only 30 + years after I started it!!
I moved my "Praying Santa" collection to this table from the Hutch where I had it on display for the last few years.......
" Jesus is the Reason for the Season" Ornament inside of the amber basket......
Many years ago, I had personalized Christmas cards made up with the "Praying Santa" on them.....
I framed the inside of the card.....
I bought the larger figurine in a store and the smaller figurine and frame came from a flea market....
I bought the glass ornament at a church flea market 2 years ago.....
And this is where I will leave off for today......
I hope you enjoyed seeing some of the changes and new things I used this year in decorating the Living Room.......
In my next post on SATURDAY, I will be continuing my Tour of the Living Room....
So I hope you will stop by to visit again on SATURDAY!!
Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!

Your house is looking so very festive!
ReplyDeleteYour tablecloth is just divine. Not only do I love the vintage feel and great graphics, but it inspires me that SOMEDAY I might get some of my 30 year old projects finished too! Your living room looks so festive and warm. What a lovely job you have done!
ReplyDeleteLooking lovely! I loved your pink and gold dining room but I really love the traditional red and green decor too! Enjoy your snow Deb! We are expecting some on Sunday..

Another festive round of decorating for you Debbie. It all looks fabulous and you put so much effort into bringing joy to others with your decorations. Thanks for sharing with us at #WeekendTrafficJamReboot. Have a lovely weekend. x
ReplyDeleteHey Debbie ❄️
ReplyDeleteFrom what I've read, y'all are getting snow so your porch and yard must really be beautiful! ⛄
I have some pink decorations also, here and there, especially in my bathroom. Your pink Santa in the dining room is gorgeous.
And I love the living room table with the sweet praying Santas. My sister has several Byer's Choice carolers. For her birthday this month I sent her a Santa, holding a basket of apples, and a deer. Occasionally deer visit her yard to enjoy apples!🍎🦌
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!🦃 (Do take good care of yourself as you enjoy the snow..)
Blessings, Linda 💗
Linda,
DeleteThanks again for stopping by and for your kind words... Did you know that Byers Choice are made here in Pa.??? You can tour the facility and see how they are all handmade....It is near Phila.

Your mantel is so festive Debbie! I do love the carolers. It's one thing I've never collected but I enjoy seeing them in others' homes!
ReplyDeleteI love peeking at all your festive treasures, Debbie. I can't ever pick a favorite, but I do love the Santa nativity. I don't think I've ever seen one of those before. Adorable! Happy Thanksgiving my friend.
