I Will Honour Christmas In My Heart

I will honour Christmas in my heart,
and try to keep it all the year.
I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future.
The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me.
I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!

Gingerbread & Candy Kitchen Beverage Area & Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Home Tour, 2024

Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog!!

Every room in our townhouse has a different Christmas Theme and Color Scheme!!

I prove that you do not have to live in a large home to have several Trees, over 20, in all shapes and sizes!!

The majority of my Christmas decorations are placed in the same room every year and I know that this is not what most Decorator's care for but to me, it like seeing old friends again when I decorate each year for Christmas as many of my decorations were gifts from family and friends...........

I do try to add a few new things and change up things a bit but for the most part, these decorations are part of my Christmas Traditions and bring back a lot of treasured memories.....

I post 3 TIMES A WEEK on MONDAY, THURSDAY AND SATURDAYS.....

As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In my last post, I shared the Hutch, a Tree decorated with Shiny Brite ornaments and the stairs in the Living Room.....

Click HERE if you missed that post!!

And now for a few Personal Notes...

I set a simple table for Thanksgiving Day Dinner.....

I used new place mats I bought at Gabes this year.....

My simple white gold rimmed dinner plates that I bought at The Christmas Tree Shop for a buck a piece., vintage gold leaf glassware and my gold flatware.....

Nothing in the center because, as my son Joey says, "You got to have room for all the food!"

I made my Dad's Sausage Filling.....

Along with an 8 1/2 lb. turkey breast.....

After I put some aside to make turkey salad, this is what I served......

After Joey's 3 helpings, I had 3 pieces of turkey left!!!

He likes his turkey with a tablespoon of mashed potatoes and gravy and corn!!!

LOL!!

I chopped up the remaining turkey....

And made turkey salad for Friday....

Which we had on buns....

I bought 2 apple pies from Price Chopper as I never ever made a pie in my life nor will I ever...

I served them for dessert on Thanksgiving with Cool Whip and ice cream....

On Friday, I made a big pot of Turkey soup....

Continuing a Black Friday tradition that I grew up with before it was even called Black Friday!!

My Dad would make this soup on the Friday after Thanksgiving while we started to decorate the house for Christmas.....

He taught me how to make it....

Joey and I had soup and turkey salad for dinner on Friday....

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!

Jim and Danielle brought a portable play pen to put the Twins in while we ate....

And of course, that did not last too long....

Why are they standing with 2 sleeping babies?????

Look who is out cold on the sofa!!!!

LOL!!

At one time, all 4 little girls were sound asleep!!!

Getting ready to go home.....

I Thank God for Liliana and Gianna every day because they bring us so much Joy and Happiness and have helped us all to get through the Loss of Joe.....

On Friday, the 29th, Lily and Gigi turned 11 months old!!!!

Wearing 1st Thanksgiving Day outfits!!

Only one more month to go before they are a Year Old!!

They just melt this Mimi's heart....

It certainly feels like Christmas now as Winter is definitely here in NEPA !!!

It was time to put my heavy velour blanket on my bed with low's in the 20's predicted for the mornings as I do not turn the heat on in my bedroom until it gets below 20 degrees.......

The heat rises from downstairs and keeps the bedroom at 63-64 degrees which, for me, is perfect for sleeping....

Today, I am going to be starting my Tour of the Kitchen decorated in a Gingerbread and Candy theme for Christmas!!

Truth be told, I will be finishing it today( Saturday) as I needed a day to just veg out and that day was yesterday ( Friday, the 29th)....

I did not even get dressed, staying in my jammies all day.....

I needed that day to recharge both physically and mentally.....

I have had fun doing the Kitchen this year and again, I tried to change things up a bit....

And that includes the Beverage Area of the Counter.....

Here are some of the new things that I bought this year that I used......

I will be sharing his area of my Kitchen Counter.....

Which is pretty much all of my Kitchen counter in my very small Kitchen.....

We will start to the right of the sink in this corner.....

I embellished this Dollar Tree sign a few years ago.....

That is actually the lid of a Christmas tin hanging above the canisters......

On top of the wire tea cup, that I spray painted copper in the Summer, is a Big Mouthed Santa jar.........

I added peppermint candy light covers from an old set of lights, that no longer work, to the lights that are there all the time....

The 2 Gingerbread signs on each side of the Candy Cane Cafe sign are new.....

I bought them in Big Lot's.....

I made the wreath a few years ago......

The Beverage Area......

Another Candy Cane Cafe on the left side of the coffee pot....

A gingerbread mug filled with Sweet Cream creamers in front of the coffee canister......

I keep a vintage salt shaker handy as my Dad always taught me to sprinkle a little salt in the coffee filter when brewing coffee....

I placed this tray on top of the marble turntable......

More flavored creamers in Lenox bowls that were gifted to me by a friend.....

My sweeteners in a Christmas ramekin bowl.....

A few of the new signs I bought.....

Tea bags, flavored coffee and Hot Cocoa mixes......

Peppermint stick and chocolate spoons in another Christmas ramekin.....

Peppermint spoons, creme filled coffee wafers and rock candy pops in the Santa and Mrs. Santa mugs....

More Gingerbread Man mugs with mini Christmas tongs in one of them.....

And this is where I will leave off for today......

In my next post on MONDAY, I will be continuing my Tour of the Kitchen decorated for Christmas...

So I hope you will stop by to visit again on  MONDAY....
