I Will Honour Christmas In My Heart

I will honour Christmas in my heart,
and try to keep it all the year.
I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future.
The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me.
I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!

Christmas Haul, October Rudolph Day, 2023

Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog!!

Every room in our townhouse has a different Christmas Theme and Color Scheme!!

I prove that you do not have to live in a large home to have several Trees, over 20, in all shapes and sizes!!

The majority of my Christmas decorations are placed in the same room every year and I know that this is not what most Decorator's care for but to me, it like seeing old friends again when I decorate each year for Christmas as many of my decorations were gifts from family and friends...........

I do try to add a few new things and change up things a bit but for the most part, these decorations are part of my Christmas Traditions and bring back a lot of treasured memories.....

I post 3 TIMES A WEEK on MONDAY, WEDNESDAY and FRIDAYS!!!!

As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

Yes, I have been buying new Christmas decor....

What can I tell you....

It is a Disease....

A Sickness....

My Passion.....

And just because I am retired, I am NOT going to give up what I like to do!!

Especially when now, I finally have the time to do it!!

I am addicted to the You Tube Shop With Me videos because I see what is out in the stores, decide what I want , see how much it is and then set out to find it in our stores....

I still stick to Dollar Tree, Dollar General and Big Lot's....

I shy away from the higher priced collectible decor that is shown in TJ Maxx, Marshall's, Ross and Home Goods......

I started shopping for Christmas decor in August ....

I bought these at a church Flea Market and I was happy to find them.....

This tiered dish for only $1!!

I am so glad I picked these white deer up because I keep seeing white deer in all the stores!!

I was happy to find a new piece to add to my Snow Buddy Collection....

I went back again a few days later when they were offering what was left for FREE!!!

Along with several other things, I grabbed these Christmas items......

A rug......

One red and 2 green charger plates......

I already have 2 like this red one.....

And I also have a set of 8 hunter green ones, not like these bright green ones...

These can be used for Saint Patrick's Day too.....

There were only 3 of these vintage Libby glasses left.....

I am thinking of making Faux Hot Cocoa Mugs like these that I found on Pinterest.....

Source: Pinterest

An ornament candy jar.....

I am thinking of putting a set of battery operated fairy lights inside of it....

 For crafting....

I did give the church a donation even though everything was FREE on the last day!!

I bought lights at the 90% off sale in Big Lot's of end of the Summer merchandise.....

$20.99 for this plug in set of Curtain lights......$2.99!!!

Not sure what and where I will use these....

4 sets of these plug in Globe lights.....

$19.99....down to $1.99 each.....

I love how they look lit up.....

I have already used these on my Seasonal Tree that stays up year round in the Living Room....

And on my 6 ft. flocked Tree in the upstairs Sitting Room...

Yep, I am almost done decorating the upstairs for Christmas already....

I sent Joe back down to Big Lot's the following day and they still were offering 90 % off...

I wanted him to pick up more of those Globe lights and he brought these home!!

They have white wires!!!!!

I already used one of the two sets on the garland on my faux fireplace in the Sitting Room.....

Big Lot's is holding Black Friday Sales every Friday with a different special sale each week.....

3 weeks ago, all Christmas was 50% off.....

A set of Kitchen towels....

Love the Christmas Plaid...

Christmas place mats that I will be using as doilies on my Living Room tables....

Tree candles that can also stay out for Winter decor...

And this cute Snow Man mug will be used for Winter decor...

 Some ornaments.....

I will use these ornaments on my Den Tree...

These red cardinals will be used on my Kitchen Winter Tree....

And these will be used either on my Winter Den Tree or in the Dining Room for Christmas....

I loved this....

 And it lights up.....

I am thinking it will go in the Dining Room.....

Along with this piece.....

And of course, these will go in he Powder Room....

I love this and so did Joe....

Not sure where it will go yet.....

And of course, this will go in my Kitchen......

Not only was everything 50% off, you were able to use coupons so Joe split this Haul in 4 and used 4 $5 off $15 coupons for an additional $20 off!!!

Next up is Ollie's......

I will start with another mat for the Kitchen.....

When we went to Ollie's, they had just unpacked most of their Christmas things so they were stocked to the hilt!!

Not sure if this place mat is even Christmas but it was $1.49!!

These were $1.99....

$2.99

$1.99

I used to buy Scentsicles at Bed, Bath and Beyond for $9.99 until I realized that Ollie's carried them for only $3.99!!

Loved this!!

I also picked up this mini flag for Winter...

And this amazing Santa one for Christmas....

We had a 15% off coupon for the entire purchase....

And we then earned a 20% off coupon off one item because of this purchase....

I need to go back and use that coupon.....

We have gone to J.C. Penney's to get our hair cut for almost 30 years.....

We started going to Linda there when our sons were in Grade School....

While there, I stopped to look at their Christmas decor and I found these......

A sweet ornament....

And another set of Kitchen towels but this one has a pattern on both towels....

Christmas decor was on sale or 40% off and I had a $10 Reward so these cost me only $8.49....

Next up is Dollar Tree.....

There is not a lot of things that are grabbing my attention at Dollar Tree for Christmas this year....

We have 3 Dollar Tree stores within 10 minutes of where we live with one being in the shopping center located right on the side of our townhouse development......

I was thrilled to death that they finally added a Dollar Tree Plus section to that store!!!

I bought this cute wooden Gingerbread house for $5.....

The rest was $1.25 a piece....

I bought 2 more of these green and white bottle brush trees that they carried last year.....

I was only able to find one of these plates last year and was happy to find another one....

And this cute mug that actually has his carrot nose sticking out will be used for Winter in my Kitchen....

I could not resist these Gingerbread paper products....

Like I said, not much in Dollar Tree for Christmas has caught my attention this year....

I have mentioned over on my regular Blog that we recently rediscovered Gabes....

When I was still working, I shopped a lot at Gabes because they opened at 8am which allowed me to shop there on my way home from work in the mornings...

Joe also liked to shop there as they carried a lot of Pittsburgh Penguins merchandise including clothing....

He bought 2 of his Penguins coats there....

When I stopped working, had my joint replacement surgery and the Pandemic hit, I forgot about Gabes.....

We are now back to shopping there.....

When we stopped in last Saturday, they were unloading TONS of Christmas merchandise including PJ's, sweat shirts and sweaters, food items, etc...

Loved this for $9.99.....

This was $5.99.....

Also $5.99

I want to point out that these are wood and very thick....

This was only $2.99

And another set of Kitchen towels for $4.99....

I liked the plaid towel in the set....

These were cheaper than Dollar Tree at 99 cents each!!

We had a $5 off $25 coupon too....

Gabes has a Rewards program where you earn one point for every Dollar spent....

When you reach 50 points, you earn a $5 off $25 coupon....

If you spend over $299 in a year, you start earning 1.5 points for each Dollar spent....

Also, every Monday, if you are over 55 years of age, you get 10% off your entire purchase....

I have to go back to see what else they unpacked.....

And last , but not least, is my Dollar General Haul.....

I bought the matching runner in this Christmas plaid pattern last year so I grabbed 2 more place mats...

I think these plaid dish cloths are new this year....

And I grabbed this for $4....

Now the rest of this Haul all cost only $1 a piece......

Again, cheaper than Dollar Tree.....

 Loved these metal signs...

Will probably add them to wreaths....

Was happy to find the last 2 rolls of this gingerbread ribbon at only a buck a piece!!

One for Winter, one for Christmas....

Loved these vintage style reindeer.....

And I plan on using these on a wreath....

Of course, this will go in the Kitchen!!

And how cute is this.....

Okay!!

So that is what I have been buying for the Christmas and Winter Season....

So Far......

If you follow me on Face Book, you know that I am almost done decorating the upstairs for Christmas....

You already saw sneak peeks of the Sitting Room...

Here are some of the Master Bedroom.....

Bathroom....

 and Hall....

I hope to finish the Craft Room today as I did the 6 ft. Tree in there yesterday...

I also plan on decorating the Den downstairs, having that done before November 1st.....

Last year it took me over 30 days to decorate the entire house inside and out so I need to start early...

I like to be done before Thanksgiving so I can sit back and relax and enjoy the entire Christmas Season...

However, Thanksgiving here in the United States is early this year, November 23rd.....

So that only gives me about 3 weeks after Halloween to strip down and pack away Falloween decorations, clean and redecorate the Powder Room, Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen and front of the house for Christmas.....

It should be interesting......

On WEDNESDAY, November 1st, I will begin posting here on my Christmas Blog 3 times a week, beginning my annual Christmas Home Tour.....

I will provide links to these posts here over on my regular Blog, Debbie-Dabble Blog, like I have before....
