I Will Honour Christmas In My Heart

I will honour Christmas in my heart,
and try to keep it all the year.
I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future.
The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me.
I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!

Christmas Upstairs, Craft Room & a Project, Christmas Home Tour, 2024

Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog!!

Every room in our townhouse has a different Christmas Theme and Color Scheme!!

I prove that you do not have to live in a large home to have several Trees, over 20, in all shapes and sizes!!

The majority of my Christmas decorations are placed in the same room every year and I know that this is not what most Decorator's care for but to me, it like seeing old friends again when I decorate each year for Christmas as many of my decorations were gifts from family and friends...........

I do try to add a few new things and change up things a bit but for the most part, these decorations are part of my Christmas Traditions and bring back a lot of treasured memories.....

I post 3 TIMES A WEEK on MONDAY, THURSDAY AND SATURDAYS.....

As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

Thanks so much to Katherine, over at Katherine's Corner, for choosing my post, Old Time Christmas in the Den Tree & Vignettes, as one of her features from last week's Thursday Favorite things Link Party!!

 Thanks so much Katherine!!

And now for a few Personal Notes...

Looks like we may be having a White Christmas this year....

This is the view from my front door this morning around 6:30 am....

I pray for a White Christmas every year since I was a child, who grew up in the 60's when there was always snow on the ground for Christmas....

We got about 4 inches of snow over night and with temps. predicted to only be in the 20's for a high over the next few days, along with the possibility of light show in the early morning hours of Christmas Eve Day, we may have snow on the ground for the first time on Christmas in quite a few years...

Snow makes everything look so much better.....

Especially Christmas decorations!!

I am keeping my fingers crossed for a White Christmas and hope that Joe will send me one this year, which will really make me happy....

I wanted to share a little project I recently did.....

One of the only craft projects that I actually got to do this Holiday Season......

I took some beautiful red velvet fabric ribbon that I had bought many years ago in Target and wrapped it around some of the pillows in the Living Room....

I made the green velvet like envelope pillow covers a few years ago...

I held the fabric ribbon in place with the use of vintage Christmas pins that were Joe's maternal Grandmother's....

A puppy in a Christmas stocking....

A bell...

And another bell...

I think that I will figure some way to cut and sew ribbon together so they fit a tad better....

Like I said, I really did not get to do any Christmas Crafting this Season....

Time got away from me as I put off decorating the Den after Halloween this year....

Definitely, a wrong choice as this really put me behind....

But I am giving myself Grace because this was quite a year.....

With that being said, I FINALLY baked some of my cookies.....

I do I usually get them done the first week of December as I have company over to see the house all decked out...

That also has not happened this year as of yet...

Hopefully, between Christmas and New Year's I will be doing some entertaining...

Think I have enough chocolate to go with my cookies????

I always say that my family like a little bit of cookie with their candy.....

I made Toll House with semi sweet chocolate chunks and a tsp. of peanut butter in each of the 2 batches....

2 batches of milk chocolate and peanut butter chip cookies....

And 1 batch of M&M cookies....

Because of this, I will be donating all the cookie sheets I have that are not copper ones...

Joe had several cookie sheets that he used for making pizza which I do not need to keep anymore...

Big difference....

I also made 2 batches of fudge....

Still have to make 2 batches of Chewy Gingerbread cookies but I will do that on Monday...

6 hours spent on baking was more than enough for me for awhile...

The last room I want to share on my Room by Room Christmas Tour is my Craft Room....

Again, with Joe's illness and passing, I never got to take down and pack up Christmas upstairs....

I did manage to change up some things in the Craft Room....

I made the wreath that hangs on the door to the room....

I passed on this Avon Christmas Count Down Calendar to my twin granddaughters that I used to also hang on this door....

My sons used to take turns moving the mouse each day .....

On the closet door....

An Angel I made on the vintage pink hamper that I use to store fabric....

I took these pictures in the evening.....

The top of a shelf unit.....

A Guardian Angel  wind chime....

I moved this Tree back over here this year as I had it somewhere else last year...

Again, I kept the color theme of the room which is pink and green.....

I did rearrange this display because of moving the Tree back here...

 Above my work table....

I placed this angel here instead of using it as a Tree Topper this year...

On the left side of the Tree....

My friend Anne Marie gifted me this along with the beautiful Spider that stays on this Tree year round....

I left the Tree as is.....

If you would like to see it in more detail along with the rest of the room, please click HERE....

I made this wreath a few years ago.....

This wreath pays homage to my Dad, who started to do crafts after his construction accident to keep busy......

He made this wreath, using thread spools that my Mother would bring home from the Sewing Factory where she worked full time....

I covered the cones with music sheet paper for my wreath....

Joe's paternal grandmother's antique Singer sewing machine.....

On a Home Interiors shelf....

I used pink wax bulbs in the 3 candelabra

A display of vintage sewing items on the Singer sewing machine....

In the corner.....

On the shelves.....

The miniature room box of my craft room that my face book friend Angela created and gifted me.....

It is one of my most treasured possessions....

On top of another shelf unit.....

I only changed a few things here as I "borrowed a few figures to use in my new display for Christmas in the Bedroom...

Next to the shelves above my sewing machine table....

I bought the frame at a yard sale for 25 cents as both my sons were born in December....

" Friendly and full of Love, December's Child is a Gift from Above"

And I switched the Tree on this table....

I bought the houses in Dollar Tree and painted them pink many years ago....

And that not only completes my Tour of the Craft Room but also my Room by Room Christmas Home Tour....

In my next post on MONDAY, I will be sharing my Annual Christmas Home Tour, showcasing both the outside and inside of the house, including some new pictures.....

So I hope you will stop by to visit again on MONDAY!

  1. Hi Deb..your craft room is beautiful. I remember when Angela made the shadow box for you! My sewing room doubles as my granddaughter Grace's room when the grands visit. My goal next year is to start sewing again. It used to make me happy! Take care!!

  3. Lots of old favorites in this post. I especially like the wreath made with sheets of music. It's so sweet you passed the Advent Calendar to your twin granddaughters! What a lovely tradition to share with their dad.
