I Will Honour Christmas In My Heart

I will honour Christmas in my heart,
and try to keep it all the year.
I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future.
The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me.
I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!

Christmas Upstairs, Hallway, Bathroom and a Tablescape, Christmas Home Tour, 2024

Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog!!

Every room in our townhouse has a different Christmas Theme and Color Scheme!!

I prove that you do not have to live in a large home to have several Trees, over 20, in all shapes and sizes!!

The majority of my Christmas decorations are placed in the same room every year and I know that this is not what most Decorator's care for but to me, it like seeing old friends again when I decorate each year for Christmas as many of my decorations were gifts from family and friends...........

I do try to add a few new things and change up things a bit but for the most part, these decorations are part of my Christmas Traditions and bring back a lot of treasured memories.....

I post 3 TIMES A WEEK on MONDAY, THURSDAY AND SATURDAYS.....

As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

I especially loved her kind words...

And now for a few Personal Notes...

I finally finished writing out my Christmas cards.....

30 is a far cry from the 80 that I used to send out years ago....

Now I have to start my baking....

I was telling my son Joey that I am behind on everything this Christmas....

His response to me was " Mom, it has been a year.... you really do not have to do anything"

True and I know I will get everything done that I need to do and it will be okay....

I decided to make something new for Dinner the other evening....

Found the recipe on Pinterest...

 "Amazing Forgotten Chicken"

Super easy...

I used chicken tenders instead of breasts and substituted Recipe Secrets Savory Herb and Garlic soup mix instead of the French Onion....

I also topped it off with cheddar cheese....

It came out really pretty good!!

The Dining Room table serves as my staging area when I decorate....

Since I am now finished decorating, I set a simple Christmas tablescape as we eat here every evening....

I love this table cloth, which is as old as the hills, because it goes well with the colors in the Dining Room....

Joe bought these place mats many years ago in Bed, Bath and Beyond....

This Angel card came with the Angel in the next picture, which was gifted to me by my sister when Joe passed away...

It actually is a solar Angel but I thought it was too pretty to put outside so it is now on the shelf over the door way to the Kitchen from the Dining Room....

Joe bought me the crystal Angel salt and pepper shakers....

I am sure I will be changing it up a few more times this Holiday Season....

I usually decorate the upstairs for Christmas in October before Halloween....

But with Joe's illness and passing, I never got to take down and pack up Christmas upstairs....

And I was not going to go up into the Attic in the heat of the Summer......

I did manage to change a few things up from last year in the hallway....

So I am going to just share a few pictures from this year first...

As you walk upstairs.....

Since I need to use the railing to walk up and down the stairs, I do not hang a garland on it....

Instead, I hung a wreath that I made on the top railing....

At the top of the stairs....

Taking down that wall paper border and painting the hallway peach like the Living Room is on my 5 Year Post Retirement To Do List....

Maybe I will get to it this Spring....

Looking out from my bedroom door.....

I decorated the hall in the color theme of gold and white and I display my Collection of vintage lusterware here in the upstairs hall.........

For Christmas, I used a lot of Angels and music sheet paper along wih other music related decorations....

I leave some of the Lusterware out when I decorate for Christmas....

I moved some of the pictures around a bit....

The paper mache Angels were a church Flea Market buy......

I took the candle that no longer worked out of the lantern and replaced it with a vintage style Angel....

2 of my Bearington Bear Collection.....

I added the stars, that Joe bought ion Clearance at 90% off one year, to the top of the shelf under the antique mantel mirror....

I made this last year.....

In the corner by my bedroom door....

A "Tree" decorated with Angel ornaments that I made.....

 Another Angel that I made......

The wall across from the Tree.....

The wall across from the Sitting Room and Craft Room.....

I added more Angel figures to this shelf.....

I placed a Santa in this lantern and added the gold trees......

On the shelf that I bought at Salvation Army....

I left out a lot of my blue Lusterware....

I switched a few things around on this shelf....

All the candles that you see in the hall are on timer to come on around 8 pm and stay on for most of the night....

Looking at the hallway from the Bathroom....

If you want to see the hallway in more detail, please click HERE to see how it looked last year....

And now onto the Bathroom....

Truth be told, I left the Bathroom exactly like it was last year....

I hang a wreath that I made on all the doors inside the house.....

The color theme in the Bathroom is purple and sage green and I also decorate it for Christmas in those colors.....

Yes, there is a Tree in the Bathroom.....

Please click HERE to see the Bathroom in detail because it looks the same as it did last year so I did not take new pictures of it.......

In my next post on MONDAY, I will be sharing my bedroom and a few changes that I made in there along with a new area that I decorated for Christmas this year......

So I hope you will stop by to visit again on MONDAY!!!
