I Will Honour Christmas In My Heart

I will honour Christmas in my heart,
and try to keep it all the year.
I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future.
The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me.
I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!

Only 17 Christmas Trees This Year, Christmas Home Tour, 2025

Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog!!

Every room in our townhouse has a different Christmas Theme and Color Scheme!!

I prove that you do not have to live in a large home to have several Trees, over 20, in all shapes and sizes!!

The majority of my Christmas decorations are placed in the same room every year and I know that this is not what most Decorator's care for but to me, it like seeing old friends again when I decorate each year for Christmas as many of my decorations were gifts from family and friends...........

I do try to add a few new things and change up things a bit but for the most part, these decorations are part of my Christmas Traditions and bring back a lot of treasured memories.....

I post 3 TIMES A WEEK on MONDAY, THURSDAY AND SATURDAYS.....

As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

And now for a few Personal Notes...

Well, if you read in my last post, you Make Plans and God Laughs....

Unfortunately, my son Jim and his family including the Twins, which had Croup, were all sick over Christmas...

They were supposed to come on Christmas Eve for our traditional Polish Christmas Eve Holy Supper but were not able to do so....

My other son Joey and I enjoyed the dinner and then delivered dinner on Christmas Eve to Jim....

They had even decided to let the girls open their gifts on Christmas Eve day in case they felt better and could come to my house for Christmas Day dinner even though that was not the original plan....

Well, that did not happen either....

So again, I delivered them Christmas Day dinner as we had originally planned as they were going to stay home on Christmas Day in their jammies with the girls like they did last year...

Yes, I was disapppointed but  I never would have wanted them to come out in the cold sick and they did not want to get me and Joey sick either...

Hopefully, everyone will feel better by next week and we will celebrate Christmas, Joey and the twin's Birthday and New Year's all at once...

Hopefully.....

I am getting company on Sunday as my niece and great nieces will be visiting....

I grew up having more than 1 Christmas Tree in the house.....

How many did you have growing up???

When I was 8 years old......

Yes, 8 years old....

I begged my Mother to take me to Woolworth's to buy brick paper so I could turn my toy chest ( that my Dad built for me) into a fireplace along with a small Tree to put on top of the toy chest.....

Don't laugh at my hair, which my sister teased to look like hers...

It was 1966, what could I tell you???

I cut out the stockings and other items, to make my toy chest look like a fireplace, out of construction paper....

I made ornaments for the Tree and decorated it myself....

This Tree was in addition to the Tree in our Living Room....

When I became a teenager and was making my own money babysitting, I bought another Tree for my bedroom....

When I got married, we also had a Tree in our bedroom and then eventually, my 2 sons had Trees in their bedrooms and we also added another Tree to the Den which was the boy's play room making the total 5 Trees in the house.....

How It All Started.....

Many, many years ago, I bought a decorating magazine.....

The Christmas Edition of Victorian Decorating & Lifestyle.....

The article that started it all was about a woman named Debora Richey from North Carolina that had 10 Christmas Trees.

I just loved the way her home looked...

Each Tree and each room had a theme..

Many of the decorations she made herself....

I started collecting different ornaments and started also buying decorations in different color themes to decorate each room differently but in a Victorian style theme....

I was even featured in our local newspaper twice because of the amount of Trees I had in the house...

Now in past years, I have gone up to 24 Trees....

But one must realize that they are not all big Trees....

In fact, I have been decreasing the sizes of my Trees over the years....

How do I count the Trees to come up with a total???

If it has lights on it and ornaments, then I count it as I had to decorate it....

So let's take a look at all my decorated Trees for this Christmas.....

3 Trees in the Living Room

This 7 foot slim Tree, which used to go in the Den, then the Dining Room and now in the Living Room, is my Seasonal Tree that stays up year round....

I bought it in Lowe's for 75% off for $17!

It is unlit as I prefer to light my Trees myself.....

For Christmas, I add several sets of red, green and warm white LED lights.....

For Christmas, it is decorated in the red, green and gold color theme with Victorian and vintage style ornaments....

Some I made but many I bought over many years....

I set up my Victorian village underneath it on the platform that my Dad built for me 47 years ago when I first got married....

The 2nd Tree in the Living Room is a 4 ft. Tree in an antiqued gold urn.....

It was bought on Clearance after Christmas in a local Boscov's store....

I decorate this Tree in the same red, green and gold color theme but most of the ornaments are vintage Shiny Brites and other vintage ones....

This year, in addition to the gold/silver garland on it, I added silver icicles.....

Also this year, I found electric Victorian style candle lights in Ocean State Job lot and added them to this Tree...

I do not like the battery operated one because it is a pain in the butt to change the battery pack on them after the lights are on the Tree....

The 3rd Tree is on top of the TV Entertainment Center that I treat like a mantel....

It is a 2 foot vintage Tree that I found in my late neighbor Elly's attic when we were cleaning out her house for her sons after she passed away...

This year, I decorated it with a gold star on top and red jingle bell ornaments....

Plans for next year is to use the red, green and white light sets on all 3 Trees in the Living Room.....

They are currently on sale on Boscov's online site....

2 Trees in the Dining Room

This 6 foot pencil thin Tree was bought last year to replace a 7 foot very slim Tree here in the Dining Room

The color theme for Christmas of the Dining Room is pink, gold and white....

This Tree is also decorated with Victorian style ornaments and I tucked sparkly white baby's breath picks into this Tree....

This year, I added gold candle ornaments to give it a bit more of a Victorian look....

I also lit this Tree myself as it was unlit....

The 2nd Tree in the Dining Room is actually a 4 foot lighted birch branch Tree that I place on the buffet....

It is usually in the Living Room where the 4 foot Tree is but for Christmas and Valentine's, I move it into the Dining Room...

All I do is decorate it with white snowflake ornaments.....

I am able to store the 6 foot Tree in the closet in my Sitting Room...

1 Tree in the Kitchen

This Tree is now a Seasonal Tree in the Kitchen as I leave it out year round....

It is a 4 1/2 foot pathway Tree in an urn that I placed in an antique crock....

Since I decorate my Kitchen in a red candy and gingerbread theme, the Tree is decorated with candy and gingerbread ornaments....

1 Tree in the Powder Room

This is a 3 foot Tree that I wire into the estagere and also secure it to a vintage tole tray in the corner....

It is decorated in blue, silver and white , which is the color theme of the Powder Room for Christmas...

I decorate it with Snow Buddy ornaments as I have used Snow Buddy figures throughout the Powder Room....

I lit it with 2 sets of battery operated lights...One set is blue and white icicles and the other set is white snowflakes....

3 Trees in the Den

This is a new 4 foot Tree that I bought on clearance last year, online in Boscov's, to replace a wide and heavier 4 foot Tree....

It is considered slim and fits so much better on this table and it only weighs 6 pounds...

The Christmas color theme for the Den is blue, ivory and burgundy and the Tree is decorated with mostly Victorian style ornaments in this color theme...

This was also an unlit Tree that I lighted myself...

The 2nd Tree in the Den is a 4 foot pathway Tree in an urn that I placed inside of a vintage blue speckled pot

This Tree is also a Seasonal Tree and stays up year round...

It is decorated with my collection of Thomas Kinkaide ornaments as I have a lot of Thomas Kinkade items in this room....

I topped it with a vintage topper that once graced the Tree in my bedroom before I got married....

And the 3rd Tree is a 1 foot Victorian style feahter Tree that I had used in my bedroom for many years to display my late husband Joe's Pittsburgh Sports ornaments on...

It is lit with a set of battery operated fairy lights...

My collection of 1940's /1950's children ornaments that I bought about 20 years ago in Michael's....

And it is topped with a burgundy colored Santa...

So that is 10 Trees downstairs....

Let's go upstairs....

1 Tree in the Hall

I have used this 3 foot gold tinsel Tree all over the house for different Holidays and Seasons...

This year, I decided to replace a lighted bunch of Tree branches that I decorated with ornaments and use this Tree, creating an Angel Tree with ornaments that I made...

Since the hall upstairs is decorated in a gold and white color theme, I also added ivory beaded garland that I cut to look like icicles, an idea I got from a local Christmas Shop several years ago........

It was prelit but those lights died a long time ago and I replaced them with a set of warm white LED ones...

1 Tree in the Bathroom

A 2 foot Tree on top of the shelf unit above the toilet in the upstairs Bathroom....

The color theme of the Bathroom is purple, sage green and gold so it is decorated with ornaments in those colors....

Along with a set of battery operated warm white LED lights and a set of purple ones...

 1 Tree in my Bedroom

I originally bought this 4 1/2 foot slim white Tree for the Sitting Room but moved it into my bedroom when Joe bought a 6 foot flocked Tree on Clearance for $10!!

This Tree is decorated in a blue and rose colored theme with Victorian Lady ornaments....

Like purses, shoes, hats, dress forms, dresses. mirrors....

I tucked blue roses into the Tree for a pop of color....

2 Trees in the Sitting Room

This is the 6 foot flocked Tree that Joe bought on Clearance for $10 in Big Lots one year...

The lights on it did not work so I cut them all off and lit it myself...

It is deocrated with vintage Shiny Brite ornaments, along with all our personal family ornaments in the bright colors of green, aqua, hot pink and silver....

Next year, I plan to use colored lights on it and silver tinsel to give it more of a vintage feel...

The 2nd Tree in the Sitting Room is on top of my faux fireplace....

It is a 3 foot white tree and decorated in the same bright colored ornaments as the other Tree in this room.....

Along with some candy cane and teardrop ornaments....

2 Trees in the Craft Room

There is a 6 Foot pencil Tree that I bought at a yard sale for $5 many years ago  that stays up year round in this room....

It is decorated for Christmas in Victorian style pink, white and green ornaments to match the color theme of the room....

The 2nd Tree in this room is a 3 foot Victorian style feather Tree....

It is also decorated in pink and green ornaments to match the room....

 7 Trees upstairs

And 10 Trees downstairs

One 7 foot Tree

Three 6 foot Trees

Two 4 1/2 foot Tree

Three 4 foot Trees

Four 3 foot Trees

Two 2 foot Trees

One 1 foot Tree

One 4 foot branch Tree....

Grand Total for 2025....17 Trees....

There were a few smaller trees that I permanently decorated using glue so I would not need to keep decorating them which I did not count this year and there were also a few smaller ones that I just decided not to use this year for Christmas.....

I think this shows that one can decorate smaller Trees and not always have to have large Trees in their homes....

And that you do not need to live in a large home to have a lot of decorated Trees in it for Christmas....

I live in a townhouse!!!

I hope I inspired you to add a few more Trees to your Christmas decor next year...

Now is a great time to pick up Trees on Clearance too!!
