Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!
I am so happy you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog!!
Every room in our townhouse has a different Christmas Theme and Color Scheme!!
I prove that you do not have to live in a large home to have several Trees, over 20, in all shapes and sizes!!
The
majority of my Christmas decorations are placed in the same room every
year and I know that this is not what most Decorator's care for but to
me, it like seeing old friends again when I decorate each year for
Christmas as many of my decorations were gifts from family and
friends...........
I do try to add a few new things and change up
things a bit but for the most part, these decorations are part of my
Christmas Traditions and bring back a lot of treasured memories.....
I post 3 TIMES A WEEK on MONDAY, THURSDAY AND SATURDAYS.....
As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

In my last post, I shared how I decorated my 7 ft. Seasonal Living Room Tree for Christmas in a Victorian theme....

The village underneath it....
And the 3 tiered vintage table next to it....

Along with the faux window.....

Click HERE if you missed that post!!
And now for a few Personal Notes...
I apologize for not getting this post done on schedule yesterday...
My grand pups went home on Saturday evening and I went to bed early to get some much needed sleep...
When I woke up on Sunday morning, instead of getting the inch of snow that was predicted by everyone, there was 4 inches of snow out there!!!
So at 8am, there I am out there, cleaning off my car, moving it to the side of the road so our court can be plowed...
The main roads were clear, which was good because I went to 11 am Mass and then stayed to help with my church's children's Christmas Party in partnership with the municipality the church is located in...
Our parish center was decorated beautifully.....

Isn't this stunning!!!
Presents for all the children...
Reindeer food......
Crafts for the kids...
Pizza was served.....
Santa came....
And a DJ played Christmas Music and did games with the kids....
We even got to tell Santa what we wanted for Christmas....
My fellow Community Group members and friends, Susy, on the left, and Michelle, who is director of religious education and part time secretary for our parish, on the right...
Then I got a big surprise!!!
I had mentioned the party to my son Jim who had just come home from Disney World on Saturday and he said they would be too tired to come which was understandable....
And then they showed up to surprise Mimi!!!!
Even though they had missed Santa, who I think needed to warm up as he rode through the streets on top of a fire truck in 18 degrees, he left gifts for Lily and Gigi.....
They had fallen asleep in the car so were just waking up....
They then enjoyed running around in the hall....

So needless to say, they really did not want to sit for pictures!!
We did manage to get one really good one!!
And we tried for more pictures.....

Well, you see how that went!!
LOL!!
I was happy to get a few pictures with my baby boy and his baby girls.....
It was a wonderful day, with a wonderful surprise!!!
Yesterday, I was out shopping all morning as I had not been out in over 9 days and then I finally got a chance to return the house to normal after the pups left....
I also made 2 batches of fudge.....
And finished writing out close to 30 Christmas cards as I had to buy more.....
I had started working on this blog post but sleep won out so it is what it is....A day late...
My Bad!
Today, I am sharing the "mantel" in the Living Room and the Area around it, continuing my tour of the Living Room decorated for Christmas in a Victorian/Vintage theme and in the colors of red, green and gold.....
If you are new here, I treat the top of my TV Entertainment Center as if it is a mantel....
I keep a basic evergreen garland up year round and then build on it to decorate it for the different Holidays and Seasons.....
I just love that You Tube has screen savers that you can use to hide that big black box that is the TV....
Every year, I display my ceramic Caroler set that I purchased from Sam's Club over 20 years ago....

This year, in the Living Room, I used a lot of bottle brush and ceramic trees in the decor....
So with that being said, I did try to change up things a bit on top of the TV entertainment center....

Candles from Dollar Tree, that come on by timer, are on each side....
Flanking the vintage Tree, that I found in my late neighbor Elly's attic when I was cleaning it out for her sons, are 2 red ceramic trees, that I elevated on gold pots that I inverted.....
I normally used those trees in the Kitchen as Winter decor.....
I decorated the vintage Tree with lights, red jingle bells and a gold star on top....
And I placed another red ceramic tree in front of the clock from the caroler set....
I do love this caroler set.....
So now let's look at what I did with the garland.....
I added a piece of flocked garland that I bought last year to the basic evergreen garland....
I watched a ton of You Tube Christmas decor and decorating videos when I was on my week long stacation with my grand pups and the one thing that is big this year is velvet ribbon bows!!
I remembered that I had this fabric ribbon, if you could even call it ribbon, in my stash that I bought many years ago in Target on clearance after Christmas....
It is very rich looking and has a gimp edging to it....
So one of the projects I did on my stacation was making a few bows out of it....
I hung 2 of those bows on each side of the garland.....
3 red velvet poinsettias were also attached to the garland....
I tucked red frosted berry picks into the garland.....
And strung one strand of a red and green beaded garland, that is also on my 7 ft. Tree in the Living Room, throughout the garland.....
Beaded ornaments were also hung from the garland with a red bird in the center of a small wreath hung in the center.....
The other red velvet bow.....
I will be leaving this garland up until the end of February along with the bows....
I like how this all turned out this year....
I found this set of 3 vintage looking caroler candles in Ocean State Job Lot....
My Mother had these....
That is a vintage Christmas hanky in the center
Gifts from my son Jim and his family on this shelf....
My grand pups who got caught up on their sleep when here with Mimoi!!
In front of the entertainment center....
Gold mercury glass candle holders flank each side of this treasure chest looking storage box....
My niece Renae and great nieces Cort, Cait and Carly gifted me this dapper looking gentleman!!
Bearington Bears....

I already shared this 3 tiered table on the left side......
On the right side of the entertainment center....
On the small round table.....
A countdr cross stitch topper that I finally finished after 30+ years when I had my knee surgery....

Last year, I decided to move my collection of "Praying Santa's" here from the Hutch....
It all started with a personalized Christmas card that I chose one year for our family Christmas card....
You can see the front of the card propped up against the vintage gold Fenton hobnail basket bought at a church flea market....
Inside of it is an ornament that says "Jesus is the Reason for the Season"
I also went with red and gold bottle brush trees and decorated evergreen ones in this display.....
I framed the inside of the card.....
I found this figurine in a local Drug Store that has long since closed....
Then I found this picture frame......
And this smaller figurine at a church flea market!!!
After I ordered the Christmas cards, I found this book to read to my sons in a local Catholic Guild store.....
"Santa and the Christ Child"
I have passed the book on to my twin granddaughters.....
More bottle brush trees.....
I also bought this at the same church flea market where I bought the Fenton basket
A candle holder with an Angel on the votive with a Christmas floral ring around the bottom.....

I placed a battery operated candle in the glass ornament....

And this is where I will leave off for today.....
I plan on doing 2 more posts on the Living Room, with the next one sharing 2 more table vignettes and the hallway and pictures from the Young at Heart Senior Social Club Christmas Party at our parish center, which I am President of!!
I already made centerpieces for the tables....
The party is being catered and the Laflin Rec Board was kind enough to leave the back drop and the chair from the children's Christmas party for us to use for pictures...
We will have a desert table and I am making up a cookie tray along mini cheese cakes from Sam's Club...
There will also be a cake and other goodies that other members are bringing....
We will also be playing a game of Dirty Bingo, which I will explain in my next post on THURSDAY!!!!
I think it is going to be a lot of fun so I hope you will stop by to visit again on THURSDAY!!!!
Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!
