I Will Honour Christmas In My Heart

I will honour Christmas in my heart,
and try to keep it all the year.
I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future.
The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me.
I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!

Victorian Christmas Tree, Village and More in the Living Room, Christmas Home Tour, 2025

Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog!!

Every room in our townhouse has a different Christmas Theme and Color Scheme!!

I prove that you do not have to live in a large home to have several Trees, over 20, in all shapes and sizes!!

The majority of my Christmas decorations are placed in the same room every year and I know that this is not what most Decorator's care for but to me, it like seeing old friends again when I decorate each year for Christmas as many of my decorations were gifts from family and friends...........

I do try to add a few new things and change up things a bit but for the most part, these decorations are part of my Christmas Traditions and bring back a lot of treasured memories.....

I post 3 TIMES A WEEK on MONDAY, THURSDAY AND SATURDAYS.....

As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

And now for a few Personal Notes...

I have been on a week long stacation because Mimi had these 2 sweet fur babies with her all week!!

Mimi got a much needed rest, even with sleeping on the sofa and 2 ottomans in the Living Room....

These two definitely got caught up on their sleep...

I did get to write out my Christmas cards, catch up on a bunch of You Tube Christmas decorating videos and Home Tours, worked on Blog posts...

And got most of my baking done!!

2 batches of milk chocolate chip cookies....

Three batches of potato chip cookies....

3 batches of chewy soft gingerbread cookies....

Today, Saturday, I will be baking 2 batches of Toll House cookies....

I gift my kids tubs of cookies for Christmas and I will be making up a tray of cookies for an upcoming Christmas Party...

I also got to make up centerpieces for the tables for that Christmas party, which my Senior group will be havig this Wednesday in our Parish hall....

Someone donated the vases which I filled with tissue paper and shredded music sheet paper ( all the rage on You Tube) and made arrangements from a few florals that I bought and a lot of florals in my stash!!

I can now fit all my florals in my stash in one tub instead of two!!

My son Jim, DIL Danielle and granddaughters Lily and Gigi had a wonderful and much needed vacation in Disney World....

Life goes back to normal on Sunday when I will be helping out with the children's Christmas party at my church...

Today, I will begin the tour of my Living Room decorated in a combination Victorian/Vintage theme in the colors of red, green and gold....

I am going to feature my faux window, the 7 ft. Seasonal Tree and Village under it and a 3 tiered table next to the Tree.....

The faux window....

Many years ago, I did this wall with mirror tiles and then realized that it was going to be a bugger to take them off so after watching one of the Christopher Lowell decorating shows, where he made a mirrored wall into a window, I did the same and I am glad that I did!!

To the left.....

Gold cherubs and an embroidery hoop I made........

Over a year ago, I painted this brick paneled wall to look like brick again....

I bought the bells on clearance before our Big Lot's closed last year....

I always hang a seasonal wreath on the "window"

I bought these Santa's in T J Maxx many years ago....

I received this wreath for doing a review of it several years back....

I decorated it with red velvet poinsettias. and hung a Santa head in th middle of it......

 I made this plaque....

I made the envelope pillow covers from red velvet like fabric I bought in a thrift store....

On the right side.....

 And now to the Tree....

I added red, green and white LED lights to the lights on the Tree....

I then added 2 different types of beaded garland....

I did the top of the Tree differently this year....

I tucked new greenery that I bought this year into the top of the Tree.....

I hung an angel from the hook that once supported a swag lamp....

Used a vintage style gold finial topper....

And used the bow that I made out of ribbon with red and white striped candles on it.....

I use solid red, green and gold ball ornaments as a base as I tuck them inside of the Tree....

And then I decorated it with a collection of ornaments in Victorian and vintage style that I have amassed over several decades.....

I tucked gold glitter branches into the Tree....

I made some ornaments....

I was gifted some by family and friends....

And I added red and white striped candle ornaments ( that match the ribbon I have used through out the Living Room) to the Tree.....

I bought them in Penney's several years ago....

I decided not to use solid red candle ornaments that I have but instead save them for Valentine's....

Then it was time to work on my village underneath the Tree...

I use the boxes that the village pieces came in to create the mountains....

I covered half of a tree surround with white blanket snow....

Then I covered the boxes with the same and placed how I wanted the houses for this year...

I decided to add another level over on this side...

Added all the wiring....

And the faux mountains....

This is a Lemax village with most pieces bought in the late 80's, early 90's....

All finished.....

I did the mountains this year so they are the same height on each side of the Tree as I am a creature of symmetry....

This is a Victorian style village....

I am going to just let the pictures do the talking....

I just placed a piece of vintage fencing on this side....

The white fencing is vintage Plasticville....

I bought the lighted tree from a crafter who does ceramics....

I am very happy with how the Tree and the village turned out this year...

I want to share the area to the right of the Tree...

This year, I hung a plaque that I made...

And 2 Angels from the valance...

Next to the platform that the Tree is set up on....

I bought this wonderful Santa in Gabes a few years back....

My MIL gifted me this vintage 3 tiered table that she took from a cousin's house who was going into a Nursing Home...

I usually put the same things on this table as they work well here but I did try to change it up a bit...

A plate bought in Salavation Army, mica coated Santa's, vintage putz houses and bottle brush trees and a Thomas Kinkade ornament set in the middle....

I bought the poinsettia place mats, that I use as doilies, in Big Lot's about 4-5 years ago.......

On the middle shelf is another Salvation Army plated with 2 beautiful bells that I bought in Country Folk Gifts before they closed....

The Lenox house was a gift from a friend....

Bottom shelf...

The plate was gifted to me by my late friend Anne Marie and now that I am doing this post, I think I may move it as it is an antique Christmas plate dated 1908.....

I realize now that it should be somewhere so it can be seen....

Mica coated snowmen, bottle brush trees and the inside of a snowman globe that broke that I placed under a cloche....

My one and only Byer's Choice Caroler, bought at Country Folks Gifts....

Byer's Choice carolers are highly collectible and made in Pa.

Sitting on the sofa for most of this week, I had a wonderful view of this enjoyable display....

And this is where I will leave off for today.....

I hope you will stop by to visit again on MONDAY when I continue my tour of the Living Room decorated for Christmas....
