I Will Honour Christmas In My Heart

I will honour Christmas in my heart,
and try to keep it all the year.
I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future.
The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me.
I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!

January Rudolph Day!!! Just a Bit of Snow!!!

It's January 25th and that means it's Rudolph Day!!

In planning for Christmas 2016, I decided to change all of the bows on the wreaths that I hang on my windows and on my front door.....
I removed the clusters of ornaments that I had on the wreaths that I hang on the windows and replaced them with some red ball ornaments. I will add more before I hang them because I did not have enough ornaments in my stash.....

I did add red ball ornaments to the wreath that hangs on the front door.....
Along with a bow made from new red velvet ribbon........
On the outside, I decorate for Winter by leaving most of my decorations up, removing the Christmas items and adding some Winter Decorations......

We were lucky here in NEPA this past weekend and missed the brunt of the heavy snow from the Nor'easter that hit the east coast........

We only got about 4-5 inches of snow but some parts of Pennsylvania are buried in snow......

I thought I would share a few photos of how my outside Christmas decorations, converted over to Winter decorations look with all the snow. since we had no snow over Christmas!!!
 Looking out the front door.......
I like how the snow blew and stuck to the decorations......
I have to give Kudos to Summit Landscaping who is responsible for plowing the courts in front of our townhouses for clearing the snow within a few hours after it stopped snowing!!
And to the Road Department of Wilkes Barre Twp. for plowing several times and for clearing our road almost down to the pavement within an hour after the snow stopped falling!!
This is why my sons were never able to sleigh ride on this hill when they were growing up!!!

And a few shots of the back yard.......
You can see how much snow we got by the accumulation on the bird bath.......
And you can see something new in this photo........
We extended the lattice higher on this side of the yard.........

Well, that is my post for Rudolph Day this month......

I hope to see you again next month, here on my Christmas Blog, for Rudolph Day on the 25th!!

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

If you do not have a blog, PLEASE  give me some way to reply to your comment, maybe by including your email in your comment.  If I can not find a way to reach you, I will reply on the post where you commented so please check back......

Debbie

  7. Your little snowmen signs are so cute. We have so much snow in Idaho. They said we would have a dry winter. They were wrong. Thanks for linking up to Tips and Tricks! Hope to see you again this week.
