Thanks so much , Alice!!
And I also want to Thank Sandi , over at Rose Chintz Cottage, for featuring my post,
Christmas in the Kitchen, Christmas Home Tour 2015, from last week's No Place Like Home Party!!
Thanks so much, Sandi!!
I also want to Thank Kathy, over at A Delightsome Life, for featuring my post,
Christmas at Nelson Crest, The Upstairs, from last week's Home and Garden Party!!
Thanks so much , Kathy!!
Please take some time to stop by and link up to these great parties!!
I honestly behaved myself and stuck to my "trying not to spend on what I do not need or absolutely love" plan!!
The day after Christmas was a Saturday and since I worked Christmas Day night and had to work the rest of that weekend, I opted to go home to sleep instead of to the stores!!
Apparently, there were record breaking shoppers cashing in on the after Christmas sales because there was truly nothing left a few days later!
I did most of my sale shopping at Big Lot's this year with some right before Christmas and some after Christmas.
I bought a bunch of ornaments for 50% off and I had a coupon for $10 off $50 spent.
I bought more of these rose ornaments to use on my Living Room Valentine's Day Tree.......
These sweet owls are going to be used on a Winter Tree in the Den........
Even though these say "Star", I think they look like snowflakes and they will also be used for Winter decorations!
The Cupcake ornaments will decorate my Summer Craft Room Tree.......
And I plan on using these angels wings in some craft projects........
These I bought right before Christmas and hung them in the Kitchen.......
A pack of 4 Chalkboard ornaments, also from Big Lots.
And I bought a 7 foot Pencil Thin Tree!!
Here is a photo from Big Lots web site of it.
I have been looking at these pencil trees for 3 years now
It was the last one there, it was 1/2 off so with the coupon it was priced at $30 from the original price of $75!
This will not be an additional tree. I am giving the large Living Tree, which is about 15 years old, to Jim (my son) and Danielle.
I will then use the 7 foot slim Tree that I currently use in the Dining Room in the Living Room and use the new pencil Tree in the Dining Room giving us more room to move around in there.
Joe picked up some things at Wegman's that I had my eye on.
Yes, we bought a Wegman's Store for our village under our Tree!!
Joe is there so often and he hopes to get a part time job there a few mornings a week when he retires so I thought it would be fitting!!
You can see that it is made by Lemax......
It was originally $35.00 and was marked down to $12.00.
He also bought some lights there too.....
These I never saw in LED before.........
16 different functions!!
More Warm White LED lights......
The lights were 75% off.
I had my eye on these since the beginning of the Season so when they marked them down, I told Joe to grab them!!
Originally $24.95 , marked down to $10.00.......
Same with this matching Snow Man.......
I love the fur on them, don't you?
And Joe got a great deal on these lights in Sam's Club......
Originally $24.95, marked down to $4.31 each!!!!
And before Christmas, I bought 2 rolls of this ribbon on sale for 70% off at Michaels.
I made all new bows for the wreaths that hang on the front of our house. I will also be replacing the ornaments on them. I will do this before I pack them away so they will have a different look next year!!
And these were bought at Sears for 75% off......
Love this sweet Snowy Owl Tree Topper!!
She will sit proudly on top of my Winter Tree out in the Den.....
Look at the bark like wings......
And a few ornaments......
And this post ends my regular Holiday posting for this season here on my Christmas Blog.
I am already planning for next Christmas!!
I hope to post here at least once a month on the 25th of each month , which is Rudolph Day.
I have now started to take down and switch over my Christmas Decorations.
The Outside is being switched over to Winter Decorations, several Trees will become Winter and Valentine's Trees and the Powder Room will be stripped of any Christmas Snow Buddies and then will stay decorated until the end of Feb.
I will be posting these changes over on Debbie-Dabble and will be posting on that blog regularly now.
I would love to have you follow me over there!
It has been a crazy and hectic Holiday Season but a great one!!
If you missed my post over at Debbie-Dabble on some of the Get Togethers with family that I had during the Season, please click HERE ......
I am frequently asked where do I store all of my decorations.
HERE is a link to a post I did last year, sharing just that. There is also a link to it on my Side Bar.
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!!
I hope you will come by and visit again when I post here for Rudolph Day.
And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!
If you do not have a blog, PLEASE give me some way to reply to your comment, maybe by including your email in your comment. If I can not find a way to reach you, I will reply on the post where you commented so please check back......
Hugs,
Debbie

I love owls. I always forget to check sears after Christmas as I think they do have some nice things marked down a lot. I stayed out of the stores this year after Christmas for the most part as I just tend to want everything on sale.
ReplyDeleteYou got some good deals.
Betsy
Love the owl! And that snowman - omg he is so pretty. I did some post Christmas shopping - not something I usually do, but there were some items I wanted for crafting. (love the angel wings -score!)
ReplyDeleteLove the Santa and you were so lucky on the light prices. I looked as we are trying to switch over to all LED but did not find any to match what I had bought. Was very disappointed.
ReplyDeleteLove those roses and they will be great for you Valentine tree. I need to get my Valentine stuff over her from daughter place ( our old place). Think I will use my white tree for it all this year. Never got it up last year.
Oh the pencil tree wil be great. I wanted to buy one they had at WalMart but it did not have a box. The guy told me he would go find something to put it in, left me standing for 1/2 hour and never did come back so I left it standing there . Was a bit upset as that is what I wanted for my gingerbread tree. Did like the one I did get for it though and was just a few inches wider in diameter.
Hope you are enjoying your winter. We are to get snow tonight. Will just be the second one this winter. Crazy for MIchigan.
Great finds, Debbie. I love those after Christmas Sales. I always buy wrapping paper during those sales. It's often marked at 75% off. Can't beat that! I love the Santa you found. Thank you for sharing your Christmas home with us at Snickerdoodle Sunday over the holidays. I've so enjoyed visiting each week!
ReplyDeleteGreat finds!!
ReplyDeleteGreat finds Debbie, I am already thinking of how your room will look next year now :)

ReplyDeletePSS, the e-mail I use is: szpinky@aol.com I don't know how to change it on here???
I'm totally in love with those snowmen all decked out in their furs! You really do find the best after-Christmas deals. Josie and I spent yesterday decorating our year-round tree for Chinese New Year. I hope to post that tree on the blog later this week! Happy New Year, Debbie!
ReplyDeleteLove your new tree! You got lots of great stuff!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you got some great deals, we bought another light set for our bushes out front but that was it for us, and that was to replace the one that burned out last year.
ReplyDeleteI love the vintage snowman he is just too cute!
I know you had been looking for a slim tree...I'm so glad you found one! You got some great buys this year at the after Christmas sales...don't you just love those sales! Have a wonderful week...hugs...
ReplyDeleteThese are such great additions! :) So fun!
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining Cooking and Crafting with J & J!
I must say that your home is always so beautiful for Christmas. So glad that you were able to get the great Christmas buys.
ReplyDeleteAll of my Christmas is put away for another year. I will not be decorating as much as I did this year. I am still tired LOL.
Have a terrific week Debbie.
Hugs,
Mary
Wonderful bargains, Debbie. I love those cupcake ornaments and the Wegman's store is a cute addition to your village! You will have bargains coming home all the time should Joe get a job there when he retires. Have a great week and thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi

Great finds! I especially love the sweet little angel wings! I missed the sale at Big Lots. By the time I went, things had been picked over and most was gone. But I did get some really good deals at Dillard's and Lowe's! Can't wait until next year to use them! :) ~Rhonda
ReplyDeletePS... Coming from Treasure Hunt Thursday
Oh my, there is so much sweetness here, my friend. You found so many lovely items! I just love the owls :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing with Roses of Inspiration. Hugs!
Thank you for sharing at the Thursday Favorite Things blog hop
ReplyDeleteYou really know how to do after-Christmas-shopping right! I've never seen cupcake ornaments before, they have to be my favorite purchase. Thanks for sharing with Talk of the Town.
ReplyDeleteDebbie, I LOVE all your Christmas finds! There is a Big Lots in the next county. Maybe I will try and visit soon. Love the Santa and Snowman and especially the rose lights!
ReplyDeleteHow fun to see the results of your clearance shopping! My favorite is the owl tree topper. I will have to look for a pencil tree. I have just the spot!
ReplyDeleteYou made a real haul Debbie! I did find a golfer Nutcracker for our youngest son for five dollars! I was buying a lot of Precious Moment ornaments to help my sister replace all the ones she lost and of course, if they had two I bought one for me too! ebay was sad after the holidays, they said, come back Anne, please come back! LOL! MY oldest son Jeremy is getting married in April and his future bride loves owls so I have gotten a few different owl ornies etc and shared some with Brittany! I need a pencil tree too! Time to call my niece Holly, she will hunt one down for me, she is good that way! She combs the many thrift stores in her area where she lives and she never lets any of us down. Have agreat weekend, love all your new treasures. xo Anne
ReplyDeleteYou got some great Christmas deals at Big Lots. We have one, but I never think to go there. I love you Wegman's shop. Cute, cute, Cute. Thank you for linking up to Tips and Tricks. Hope to see you again this week.
ReplyDeleteWow! You never cease to amaze me with your amazing Christmas decorations, Valentine, etc.
ReplyDeleteI bought my pencil tree at Big Lots last Christmas. We don't have space in our little cottage for a big tree and I couldn't find a skinny real tree. We love that the tree takes up little space. My neighbor paid $300 for her pencil tree at Grandin Road so I felt pretty good getting mine for $60 and they look almost identical.
Have fun decorating for winter and Valentine's Day and Thanks for Sharing Your Cup!
Great bargains Deb! Love the little fur wearing snowmen! Thank you for sharing @Vintage Charm!
ReplyDeleteI love the Santa...I'm a collector! Looks like you scored!! Thanks for sharing on my Link Party "My 2 Favorite Things on Thursday" !! Hope to see you you tomorrow! Pinned!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing at Funtastic Friday!
ReplyDeleteI love your decorations! Looks pretty with all the snow.
