I Will Honour Christmas In My Heart

I will honour Christmas in my heart,
and try to keep it all the year.
I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future.
The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me.
I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!

Anne Marie's Christmas Home Tour, 2022

Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog!!

Every room in our townhouse has a different Christmas Theme and Color Scheme!!

I prove that you do not have to live in a large home to have several Trees, over 20, in all shapes and sizes!!

The majority of my Christmas decorations are placed in the same room every year and I know that this is not what most Decorator's care for but to me, it like seeing old friends again when I decorate each year for Christmas as many of my decorations were gifts from family and friends...........

I do try to add a few new things and change up things a bit but for the most part, these decorations are part of my Christmas Traditions and bring back a lot of treasured memories.....

I am now posting 3 times a week !!!

I will be posting on TUESDAY, THURSDAY and SATURDAY

As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

Today, I will be sharing my dear friend Anne Marie's beautiful home decorated for Christmas....

In my last post, I shared my Victorian Doll House, Nelson Crest, all decked out in her Christmas Finery.....

Click HERE if you missed that post....

I hope you all had a great Christmas and were able to spend it with those that you love....

On SATURDAY, I will be sharing my Christmas Tablescapes, family pictures, new Buys and some Crafts that I made.....

But for today, I have a treat for you!!!

Just as I do every year, I will be sharing my dear friend Anne Marie's beautiful home decorated for Christmas....

I want to mention that Anne Marie had started decorating and then ended up in the hospital for a few days because of a serious infection in her finger....

She was on IV antibiotics and needed several debridements....

She was discharged and went back to work but still was not herself and still had lingering effects from the infection with shooting pain and swelling even though she remains on antibiotics.....

I was so worried about her, fearing osteomyelitis...

I am glad to say that she is feeling better with her finger looking better and is healing and there are no signs of osteomyelitis with her physician saying that the bone in her finger looks good according to an MRI.....

This definitely was not the Holiday Season she had hoped for but she still managed to decorate her home....

This is what she said about her decorating this year......

"I had the Mantel and the Buffet and the Hutch done in the Dining Room before this happened with my finger (before she ended up in the hospital)

You will see the rest of it isn’t a lot.

I was going to use my Bearington Bears and I was going to do a little more with my displays, but you’ll see I just kind of put the bears around.

I have a lot of Christmas ones.

Many years ago I went through a Bearington Bear phase.

I have so many but the most I have are Christmas ones and all the Christmas ones are in one big bin which was accessible.

So it was an easy way for me to decorate this year."

Even with not feeling well for the last few weeks, I think Anne Marie did a fantastic job....

And I LOVE her use of all her Bearington Bears!!!

And I am sure you will agree with me!!

We will start the tour at the front door....

These are the descriptions that Anne Marie sent to me along with the pictures she took......

My 3 foot feather tree in an antique wind up music stand.

The tree is on the seat of the hall tree.

Antique tinsel and scrap ornaments on the tree with antique topper

Antique die cut angels and books.

 By the stairs.....

The antique Ben Franklin typewriter with antique postcards and on the wall above an antique “plate” from a botanical book for December

By the cellar-way, another Bearington Bear under a glass dome

 The Living Room..

The sofa table.

The small book and postcards are antique

Antique postcards and two antique fold out die cut cards

And another bear!

  The side by side.

The Santa’s on top and the Santa with reindeer I’ve had for years and just haven’t put them out in quite a while

I only decorated a few shelves in the side by side

Antique snow babies and vintage bottle brush trees

 The organ

In the wall unit, some vintage bottle brush trees, antique plate from Germany, the pink cups are antique as are the postcards and die cut Santa in the middle of the postcards

Some more Bearington Bears in the wall unit

The doll crib Debbie gave me is in front of the wall unit.

Two more Bearingtons in their pajamas and an assortment of antique Christmas books

On the table next to the wall unit is another Bearington Bear with his toy box and next to him an antique fold out die cut angel card

Antique paper mache Santa candy container.

His body opens to hide candy inside

 The Dining Room....

Looking into the Living Room....

The mantel on the fire place is done in a gingerbread theme.

All the Bearington Bears have a gingerbread man

These two are in the center of the mantle in the gingerbread bakery crate.

I love her PJ's with the gingerbread people on them.

The smaller bear is dressed like a gingerbread man

Another view of the mantel with the fireplace on and the grandfather clock and Victrola.

The reindeer on top of the Victrola is Steiff from the 50’s .....

And there are two more of them on the very top of the mantel

Another Bearington Bear in her nightgown with her doll

On the trunk next to the fireplace, Brad the Baker Bearington Bear, faux treats and faux ice cream sodas in the vintage milk glass goblets

On the buffet, is my take on a Hot Cocoa Bar.

Gingerbread men lights on the piece of vintage fence Debbie gifted me!

The round, glass apothecary jar in the center is antique.

 I made the marshmallow tree.

 My Dining Room table.

Simple this year.

I used the greenery with candle holders Debbie gave me as the centerpiece and just added a few touches to it.

 My salad dishes are Spode,

St Nick pattern

This is my collection of antique Limoge T & V holly berry china in the Dining Room Hutch

In the hutch, I also have this antique Homer Laughlin holly pitcher, an antique holly chamber pot and Vaseline glass pitcher and glass set with deer on them.

I’ve accented the shelves with vintage white deer and vintage bottle brush trees

 The Washstand in the DR

 In the Kitchen.

The wreath Debbie made....

And tree village Debbie gifted me..

 That's it!

WOW!!

I chuckled when I read "That's It" because I never expected her to get done what she managed to do!!!

And that is how Anne Marie's home looks this year for Christmas!!!

I LOVE it!!!!

Over the years, Anne Marie has shared her Love for the Bearington Bears and was kind enough to gift me quite a few for the different Holidays and Seasons....

I treasure them!!!

In spite of her medical issues, Anne Marie still created a Christmas Wonderland in her home for herself and her husband Tony!!

Please let her know how much you appreciated seeing her Christmas Home Tour this year , especially under the circumstances, in the comments below!!!

The saying goes.....

And even though we do not get to see each other often because of the distance between where we live and her busy work schedule, Anne Marie and Tony are Family to us!!!

Please join me in saying a prayer for her complete recovery from this infection in her finger....

On THURSDAY, I am going to be sharing another Christmas Home Tour....

The home of my FB friend Mary Jane!!

  1. Good morning Debbie,
First, I was so sorry to learn of Anne Marie's infection, but am very glad she's healing. Her name is now on my prayer list.
As always, visiting Anne Marie's is such a joy. All of her exquisite antique Christmas decorations are magnificent, and her bears are adorable! (I went through a bear phase myself..) I really loved the Santa in the sleigh pull toy (?).
Many thanks to you and your dear friend for this lovely tour.
    Blessings, Linda
