Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!
I have been posting my annual Christmas Home Tour, sharing each room in our townhouse decorated for Christmas...
All of these posts are on my side bar if you missed them!!
But first, I want to Thank Shelley, over at A Woman in Her Prime, for featuring my post, "Sweet" Christmas Kitchen, from last week's Over the Moon Link Party!!
Thanks so much, Shelley!!
Please stop by and link up to this lovely party!!
I really did not buy a lot of things after Christmas on Clearance for 2 reasons.....
1. I really do not need anything in the way of Christmas decorations!!!
2. With temps. going down into the single digits for the entire week after Christmas, I truly did not feel like going out in that weather when I really did not have to!!
Like so much of the country, this is what we dealt with for about 2 weeks!!!
Joe loves to shop and he likes to explore all the stores that we live by and he loves Bed, Bath and Beyond!!!
We always joke that he has been in Bed, Bath and Beyond far more times that I have been and it is actually true!!!
These are the things that he picked up for 50% off.......
This fantastic battery operated LED Gold Filigree Church!!!!!
When it is lit, the entire church glows through the gold metal filigree!!
It comes on by Timer too and was $15.00!!
This beautiful silver mercury glass Finial was only $8.99!
Love the little putz house!!
He bought the only one left!!
He also picked up some Scentsicles for half price and this mini oven mitt that will look perfect in my "Sweet" Christmas Kitchen!!
He also bought these ornaments.......
These red plaid Balls and Birdhouses will be used on my Kitchen Winter Tree......
The 2 on each end are a pale pink......
These will be used either on my Kitchen Winter Tree or on The Winter Tree in the Den......
It is perfect out in our Den and I just may leave it out year round because I have seen some "Believe " signs out for Spring........
So this is what Joe bought at Bed, Bath and Beyond.........
I did buy a few things at Walmart when I stopped in one morning on my way home from work after Christmas but I am only going to share these things with you now because most of the things I bought, I will be using for other Holidays and Seasons!!!
I bought this for $1.50 and found it in the wrapping paper section!!
It is a burlap gift bag but I am sure I can think of something to do with it.....
Walmart had a lot of ornaments that were originally only $2.00 a each......
At half price, that took them down to $1.00 each!!
These, I bought for next Christmas.........
They are really pretty!!
I did buy other ornaments at Walmart for $1.00 each but I will be saving them for another post because I don't plan to use them for Christmas!!
So you can see that I did not go crazy this year with buying things at the after Christmas Clearance sales.......
I know the Holiday Season is now officially over , but I do hope to try to post here at least once a month on Rudolph Day, the 25th of every month!
I failed miserably last year trying to do that.
I am going to attempt to do a series of posts here about "Planning for Christmas"
I am frequently asked these questions:
Where do you store it all?
When do you start to decorate?
How do you know where everything goes?
How long does it take to pack it all away?
How long does it take you to strip down a Tree?
How long did it take you to decorate that Tree?
What do you do with all your regular things?
I was even asked these questions this year that actually caught me by surprise:
When you pack all your Trees away, do you take all the ornaments off?
Do you put the ornaments back on the Tree in the same place year after year?
SAY WHAT!!!!!
I may be good at this but I am not THAT good!!!
And of course, the one question that I get a lot but really bugs the heck out of me because I really want to answer it with, "Where are your manners?"
HOW DO YOU CLEAN ALL THIS??????
I answer it with a wicked smile on my face and say "WHO CLEANS?"
The photos that I posted were from a post that I did a few years back, titled Where Do I Put It All? and you can click HERE if you are interested in reading it......
I keep a book, Christmas Planner, where I mark everything down even what type and how much food to buy for Holiday dinners and baking.
I also write down plans for next Christmas as far as decorating and entertaining....
I will be re-doing my book this year so I hope to share all of that with you along with a series of posts showing you WHERE Do I REALLY Put It All??????......
Any posts I do here on A Debbie-Dabble Christmas, will have a mini post with a link on my regular blog, Debbie-Dabble Blog, back here to my Christmas Blog.....
So stay tuned, there is more to come and THANKS SO MUCH for spending part of your Holiday Season with me this year!!
And I sincerely hope you will come by and visit again!!
And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!
If you do not have a blog, PLEASE give me some way to reply to your comment, maybe by including your email in your comment. If I can not find a way to reach you, I will reply on the post where you commented so please check back......
Hugs,
Debbie

Hi Debbie. You have to love the "How do you clean it all?" question. Haha. I have seen that a lot in comments around the web. I have a new party. I'd love to have you back to link up again. It's called "Keep In Touch". It starts every Tuesday at 4 p.m.
ReplyDeleteI love the cloche ornaments, that spire and that church. Great finds. I did a little clearance sale shopping but most of it was for my winter decor.
Katie
Let's Add Sprinkles
Love all your after Christmas finds! Great deals too. That is my kind of deals. I love it when I can get in on 50% but sometimes when I catch the 70% off it makes my heart do the old pitter patter. I adore the Believe sign. That was my word in 2017. Happy Wednesday to you. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteLoved your Christmas bargains; I love to shop after Christmas, too. Here in Maine, anyway, BB&B's coupons DO NOT EXPIRE. I get them in the mail, several magazines I subscribe to, so I always have lots; they come in handy. Have been known to use them on votive candles on clearance. One year I got Christmas tablecloths for 1.25 to 1.75! Should go back and see if they have marked stuff down more...only so much time. I use dish clothes and decorations in theme baskets so I love those. Hit Hobby Lobby when C was 90% off and got a 49.99 large resin swan. She is on the coffee table with white marabou boas (also 90% off) and pink and red Valentine hearts nestled in the middle. This year I am going to make more vignettes (easier resolution than losing weight!). I have a "It's a Wonderful Life" sign that I leave up year round!
ReplyDeleteKathy,
DeleteThanks again for taking the time to visit and comment!! I can not get in touch with you any other way but here so I am responding here! You are right that B Band B coupons do not expire!! My husband found that out!Unfortunately, the nearest Hobby lobby is at least a half hour drive . I keep wishing that they would move one into our area. Please email me privately so I can respond to your comments other than here on the blog!!
My email is debbiedabbleblog222@gmail.com Just put Debbie-Dabble in the subject line.
Hugs,
Deb
Happy new year, dear Debbie! Thanks for the marvellous tour of your fabulous Christmas
ReplyDeleteHugs
I have to chuckle that you don't consider all that a "lot" of after-Christmas shopping! LOL I only bought four after Christmas items. And I thought that was a lot!
ReplyDeleteI'll be sorry to only see your posts once a month - but I'll keep my eye out on the Pink Saturday line-up so I don't miss one!
Stay warm and happy new year!
Deb, I love the angel wing ornaments. Thanks for sharing. Sylvia D.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you and your husband had some great finds! I love when Christmas is over so you can buy all the decorations at a discount! You have so many Christmas decorations that are amazing!
ReplyDelete- Natalie A.
Joe has great taste! I love all of the putz houses in cloches! Thanks for sharing at Vintage Charm!
ReplyDeleteWow, there is so much to see here and read you can be sure that I will be back to browse some more and follow you. Thanks for sharing your passion... for I have the same passion also!!! I wish I could do as much as you.
ReplyDeleteDebbie,
ReplyDeleteI see that you're a big fan of Christmas. I am, too. But, I don't delve into the decorating like you, though. I certainly enjoy what others like yourself do. It's amazing! I like the cloche ornaments. Those are nice. I really want a lighted church to keep up all year but haven't found one that I like. I do have a Dept. 56 New England church but I usually put it away along with the rest of my village sometime before winter ends. I can't imagine how long it takes you to do everything setting up or taking down. Al I can say is you are more organized than me. Thanks for sharing. I'm visiting from Inspire Me Monday!
Uh oh, I hope I didn't say that...the one about cleaning that is, but you gave me my chuckle for the day anyway! Debbie, I'm amazed...Joe bought all that? Wow, y'all are on the same wavelength. That church is so you, and I bet it's gorgeous! Now those angel wing ornaments look just like hearts, so you could use them for Valentine's Day too. I'll bet you didn't feel too much like shopping in that weather! I mean, who would? Especially somebody with a bum knee that acts up when it's cold. Ha! Ask me how I know that. So, Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteDebbie, Joe found some great things! I especially love the plaid ornaments. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
You and I have some of the same hints (I love my holiday journal!) and questions (where do you store all this, how, and what do you do with your other stuff!) I can so relate! Your things are beautiful, Debbie. I never thought of BB and BY as a potential post-holiday item shopping place. (Probably a good thing!) You got some wonderful finds!
ReplyDeleteFun post. I giggled a lot! I don't need anymore ornament either ... but ....!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletePeople can be rude but clearly you've learned to ignore them. We have an attic full of Christmas delight. DH has a grocery list just for our Christmas Eve holiday party stored on the computer and his phone because it is an undertaking to host both sides of the family but so worth it. Memories last.
ReplyDeleteAhhh Debbie, I love your sense of humor and would love to know the answers to a whole bunch of these questions. Not the one about dusting though :D That's a given, if you're a blogger who takes loads of pictures of all the beautiful things in your home then dusting happens often. Probably more often than most other homes. Hope you have a happy week my friend
ReplyDeleteI is always so much fun to check out the sales after Christmas. Lots of great stuff!
ReplyDeleteOops I forgot to thank you for joining us at Snickerdoodle. So thank you so much for being loyal to the party.
DeleteYou have some lovely things for next year Debbie :) Thanks for sharing at Creative Mondays.
