I Will Honour Christmas In My Heart

I will honour Christmas in my heart,
and try to keep it all the year.
I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future.
The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me.
I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!

~ Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol

A Few Paint Transformations........

ATTENTION: MY MAIN BLOG, DEBBIE-DABBLE, IS HAVING MAJOR ISSUES AND I HAVE LOST ACCESS TO CHANGE ANYTHING IN THE LAYOUT OF THE BLOG SO UNTIL I CAN GET THIS RESOLVED, I HAVE MOVED MY LAST FEW POSTS HERE TO MY CHRISTMAS BLOG AND WILL ADD NEW POSTS HERE UNTIL THE ISSUE AT DEBBIE-DABBLE IS RESOLVED.
I am posting here on my Christmas blog and will continue to do so until Debbie-Dabble Blog is fixed and if it can not be fixed, then I will decide if I want to start another blog or just make this blog my only blog........

That being said, I hope you will Follow Me here until a resolution or decision is made.....

While on Stacation last week, I was working in my former "Guest Room" , now my new "Sitting Room".

But first, I want to Thank Jillian, over at Bella Rosa Antiques, for featuring my post, Fairy Garden Projects, Part 1 from last week's Let's Talk Vintage Party!!
Thanks so much , Jillian!!

And I also want to Thank Angel, over at Sew Crafty Angel, for featuring my post, Fairy Garden  Projects and Gnomes, Part 2, from last week's Wake Up Wednesday Linky Party!!
Thanks again, Angel and  all the hosts of Wake Up Wednesdays!!

Please stop by and link up to this great parties!!

I have been painting a few pieces of furniture and other things.......

This was how this area of my former "Guest Room" looked last year........
Here is a sneak peak of how it looks now.......
I changed out the picture that was here for a Window Mirror.......
Here is where this window mirror, purchased at a church Flea Market, was before.......
I had used it in the "Hearth" area of my fake fireplace ........

You can see that the original finish on it was stained wood......
I got out my trusty Gloss White Spray Paint and painted it white......
You may remember my Tea Cup Shelf.......
This is what it looks like now that I spray painted it.......
I think all my tea cups and saucers look better on the white shelf.......
And I also spray painted the frame on this Home Interiors Picture white, it was gold......
I was given this table by a neighbor. I forgot to take a before photo but it was a dark wood stain originally.......
I first used Kilz to seal it and then painted it with a Gloss White Valspar Paint from Lowes......
This is how this part of the room now looks......
This book case was built by my Father and several years ago, I had given it to a neighbor and now I have it back!!

This is how it looked last year.......
 And how it looks now........
 Painted Gloss White......
And I also painted this table too.......
It was in my bedroom and this is how it looked at Christmas......
And now......
I still have a few more pieces to paint like my wash stand .......
And I also decided to paint my fake fireplace.......
So I hope you will be back to visit soon!!

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

If you do not have a blog, PLEASE  give me some way to reply to your comment, maybe by including your email in your comment.  If I can not find a way to reach you, I will reply on the post where you commented so please check back......

HELP!!! Major Problem with my Debbie-Dabble Blog

Hello!

I am posting  here on my Christmas Blog because I am having MAJOR problems with my main Blog, Debbie-Dabble.

It started a few days ago when I noticed that several new gadgets under the HTML/Java Script Gadget were added to my blog and I did not add them.

They all had the same code and Face Book was mentioned in it. Then the amount of that same gadget seemed to multiply. They were all in the Cross Column 2 section.

I tried to delete them, move them and erase the code but nothing happened.....

Then my customized template disappeared on the blog and now I can not do anything that has to do with changing things on my blog.

When I try logging into the Template Designer, it freezes.

I can not add, delete or alter gadgets, increase the font, move gadgets around or even delete any of my gadgets.

I can post to the blog but that is it.

I have changed my password several times thinking someone else hacked into the blog but that did not work.

I posted on Blogger Forum.

As a paying customer ( yes, I pay $1.99 a month for my Google account), I think there should be some where that I could get in direct contact with a tech support person for Blogger that could help me through this.

UPDATE: I was contacted by a Support Tech from Google who is looking into the problem......

If there is a section somewhere to get in direct contact with tech support, I have not found it!!

If anyone can help me, I would GREATLY appreciate it!!

As for now, I will post on this blog and I am even considering starting a new blog to replace my main one, Debbie-Dabble, if I can not find or get any help with this issue.

Hugs,
Deb

Cottage Garden Secret Garden, Part 3, 2016

Today, I am sharing Part 3 of our Cottage Garden.......
But first, I want to Thank these hosts for featuring my post, Been Doing a Bit of Spray Painting!, from last week's parties!!

Thanks to Sherry, over at Olives and Okra, for featuring it as the Most Viewed from the Funtastic Friday Party!
Thanks so much, Sherry and all the hosts at Funtastic Friday!!

And Thanks to Linda, over at Crafts a La Mode, for picking it as one of her features from last week's What to Do Weekends Party!!
Thanks a bunch, Linda!!

Please stop by and link up to wonderful parties!!

If you missed Part 1 of our Cottage Garden, Please click HERE
If you missed Part 2 of Our Cottage Garden, please click HERE
In this post, I will be sharing the last area of our Cottage Garden over to the right of the yard..........
There is a path of pavers that lead to the shed in back right hand corner of the yard...........
To decorate the shed up a bit, I hung Toy Shovels from Dollar Tree on the doors.....
On the side of the shed, we store work horses and buckets filled with extra pea gravel, sand and soil......
As I mentioned in the last 2 posts, I took these photos on 2 different days, one that was cloudy and rainy and one that was sunny...........
It is hard to get a good photo of this side of the yard when the sun is out because half of it is shaded by the tree in the back....

Hanging on a shepherd's hook is a Post Man Wind Chime ( remember that Joe is a Mail Man) and a solar Lantern......
The Trellis was bought at Home Depot last year and is anchored to the fence with zip ties!!
Underneath the shepherd's hook is an Angel.........
 And a Solar Rock.......
There is a set of Solar Dragon Fly Lights wrapped around the Trellis......
The Bird Bath used to be a fountain but it not longer works.......
  Underneath the bird bath.....
  One of my Garden Gnomes.....
Next to the bird bath is a plant stand with a pot filled with petunias......
They are starting to fill in nicely!!
Another Angel sits on the opposite side of the Bird Bath.....
I bought this Gazing Ball on clearance last year at Big Lot's.....
Asters are planted on the edge of the patio......
"An Hour in the Garden Put Life's Problems into Perspective"

How true......
We have not decided if we are going to extend the lattice higher using the trellis for support of it like we did on the other side of the yard.......
We have an older gentleman for a neighbor that lost his wife several years ago,is battling cancer and Joe likes to talk to him over the fence every now and then......

And our yard is a good 3 feet higher than his, separated by a retaining wall on his side....

And that completes my "Tour" of our tiny back yard......

Our "Cottage Garden"

Even though we live in a townhouse development in a row of 10 houses and a row of 10 townhouses sits behind us, we call out back yard our Secret Garden because of how private it is......

Now I know you are thinking how could it possibly be private with living so close to others????

This is why we call it our Secret Garden......
No one can see into our back yard with the Trees and the lattice.......
I can sit on the Patio in my robe in the morning with my cup of coffee and  no one can see me!!!
I bet my little yard is more private that a lot of your yards are so we call it our Secret Garden because most of my neighbors have no idea what our back yard even looks like!!
I have decorated our "Cottage Garden" with bright and cheerful colors to make it a "Happy Place" for Joe and I to enjoy and I hope you enjoyed seeing it!!

I have been busy while Joe and I were on Stacation last week.......

We did start the ball rolling on taking care of a lot of things having to do with his upcoming Retirement in September....

I finished tweaking my Patio for the Summer...

I did some furniture painting in my new "Sitting Room" , former "Guest Room"......

I planted a few more perennials and tweaked a little flower bed by our Court's Mail Boxes......

And to think that I was recently asked by a co worker who said " But what will you do when you retire? Won't you be bored???"

"Apparently, you don't know me too well!" , was my answer!!

I have a lot more to share with all of you........
