Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!
I am so happy you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog!!
I prove that you do not have to live in a large home to have several Trees, over 20, in all shapes and sizes!!
The majority of my Christmas decorations are placed in the same room every year and I know that this is not what most Decorator's care for but to me, it like seeing old friends again when I decorate each year for Christmas as many of my decorations were gifts from family and friends...........

I do try to add a few new things and change up things a bit but for the most part, these decorations are part of my Christmas Traditions and bring back a lot of treasured memories.....
I post 3 TIMES A WEEK on MONDAY, THURSDAY AND SATURDAYS.....
As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

last week's Weekend Traffic Jan Reboot Link Party!
And now for a few Personal Notes...
To Disney World in Florida!!!!
Yes, they flew to Florida with 2 almost two year old Toddlers!!!
Jim posted this picture showing the "challenges" of doing so!!!
LOL!!
I said that if they can survive this, they will survive anything!!
So, Mimi is now on a much needed Stacation, as I have finished my Christmas Decorating, only after 25 days of doing so, because I have these 2 sweetie pies for a week!!
Faye
I will not leave them so I am home for a whole week!!
Now the pups and I do plan to do all my baking, write out my Christmas cards, watch Christmas TV Specials and catch up on my favorite You Tube personality's Christmas decorating videos!!
After going at the speed of light for about 2 months, I am enjoying this down time and just resting and relaxing and basking in the loving these sweet pups are giving their Mimi!!
It does my Soul good especially at this time of year......
I also want to wish my son Jim, who turned 42 years old on the 7th, a very Happy Birthday!!!!
Hard to believe that my baby boy Jim.....
Today, I am continuing my tour of the Kitchen decorated in a Gingerbread/Candy theme....
I have decorated the Kitchen in this theme for almost 20+ years now and I am thrilled that Gingerbread is now very much back in style!!
This wall serves no purpose in my Kitchen other than to decorate it....
And I do love to do so!!
I like to hang a valance between the Kitchen and the hall because of the color difference....
To the left of the Hutch.....
A Christmas apron that I bought in Gabes a few years ago that I embellished with Gingerbread ornaments....
On one of 2 shelves that my Dad made for me out of "spare" wood....
For the last few years, I displayed wooden gingerbread people on these shelves but this year, I decided to pass them on and kept out my Vintage Kitchen items, adding a few Christmas pieces.......
A child's apron bought in Ollie's....
On the chalkboard given to me by a friend.....
My late neighbor Ed gifted me this box of candy from a local company, Victoria's, and I loved the graphics on it so I kept it....
I am so glad that I did!!
I added a bottle that says Milk for Santa to my milk bottles from a local diary that is still in business...
My Kitchen Tree....
I bough the gingerbread head tree topper last year.....
The bow is made from ribbon with candy canes on it....
Gingerbread ribbon streamers on both sides of the Tree...
I have collected these ornaments over 20 + years....
This year, I used a red and white beaded garland on this Tree that I used on a smaller Tree....
I elected not to use this small Tree this year....
The Kitchen Hutch....
I set up a Gingerbread Village on the desk area of the Hutch....
My sister, Barb, gifted me this Gingerbread village last year...
I displayed it here....
I bought the larger white house in Penney's a number of years back....
I decorated under the desk....
More Gingerbread pieces....
On the side of the Hutch...
To the right of the Hutch....
On the other shelf that my Dad made....
More vintage Kitchen items mixed with Christmas ones....
I stacked this vintage green Pyrex bowl, filling it with a red sifter with a floral arrangement inside of it and cookie cutters....
Inside of this antique green yellow ware bowl....
It is valued at over $200...
I hung Christmas ornaments on these copper measuring cups......
I bought this wreath made from Life Saver's at local Craft Fair several years ago....
A set of cooking Santa salt and pepper shakers...
I ordered the Victorian plate on EBay many, many years ago....
And this is where I will leave off for today.....
I hope you will stop by to visit again on THURSDAY for my next post!!!!
Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!

THURSDAY
Please take some time to visit these terrific hosts and all those joining in on the fun!

I can't imagine going to Disney with two-year-old toddlers. They deserve a medal. Or a stint in the mental health ward! I think you got the good end of the deal, baking with the dogs! It sure is happy and festive at your house! So full of Christmas joy! Happy birthday to your son.
ReplyDeleteOh I hope they have the best time in Disney! Our first trip we had 2 under 3 and it was exhausting... but fun. Your kitchen looks so fun and festive.
ReplyDeleteJUST AWESOME! I collect gingerbread, too, but nothing like this beautiful display. (P.S.— I think you don’t have more comments because it was so difficult to jump through all the hoops to do so. I know everyone who sees this is amazed and would love to leave a positive comment.)
ReplyDeleteMelinda,
DeleteThank you for stopping by and for taking the time tcomment...I do not understand what you mean by "jumping through hoops to comment". You are the first person in 15 years of blogging who have ever told me that...Personally, I find that people are very busy this time of year and like myself, do not have the time to comment which is usually why comments are always lower during the Holidays..But the amount of views reflect how many look at blog posts so I am good...Merry Christmas!
Deb
I love your Christmas aprons! So festive! I'm finally catching up with my favorite blogs after a week long visit with our daughter's family in mid December followed by all the Christmas fun! How exciting that your son and his family have this trip together! And how special for you to have a much needed "staycation" with your grandpups! Fun times for all!
