Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!
I am so happy you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog!!
I prove that you do not have to live in a large home to have several Trees, over 20, in all shapes and sizes!!
The majority of my Christmas decorations are placed in the same room every year and I know that this is not what most Decorator's care for but to me, it like seeing old friends again when I decorate each year for Christmas as many of my decorations were gifts from family and friends...........

I do try to add a few new things and change up things a bit but for the most part, these decorations are part of my Christmas Traditions and bring back a lot of treasured memories.....
I post 3 TIMES A WEEK on MONDAY, THURSDAY AND SATURDAYS.....
As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

In my last post, I shared A brand new Tree in the Den....
I want to Thank Julie, over at My Wee Abode , for choosing my post, Christmas Front
Porch, as one of her features from last week's Tuesday Turn About Link
Party!!
Thanks so much, Julie!!
Please stop by and link up to this lovely party!!
And now for a few Personal Notes...
I APOLOGIZE THAT I AM A DAY LATE WITH THIS POST BUT I WAS EXHAUSTED AFTER THANKSGIVING DAY DINNER.....
HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY!!!!!
All kidding aside, I hope you all got to spend some time this Thanksgiving weekend with those that you love....
I am so
proud of my son Joey and his boss Connie for organizing a Food Drive
for fellow employees to donate to at the Chancery of the Diocese of
Scranton to benefit one of the local Food Pantries supported by Catholic Social Services...
Joey surveying the situation...
These pictures were taken in the IT offices
of the Chancery where Joey works....
Joey's boss Connie, who is like a 2nd Mom to him.....
The Food Pantry was very grateful!!
I hosted Thanksgiving Day dinner for my family and was looking forward to seeing the Twins and the pups...
I will have pictures of them in my next post....
I served Turkey, of course.......
Keilbasi, which I normally do not have for Thanksgiving Day but the turkey breast was just under 7 pounds.....
Corn, Mashed Potatoes with gravy and Mac N Cheese for the twins....
My Dad's Sausage Filling
Apple pie ( Sam's Club) with cool whip
Pumpkin pie for Jim and Danielle as they like it but Joey and I do not....
And my neighbor from across the Court brought these over to me the other day...
I usually do not have this many deserts so I had to set up a little table in the Den as there was no room in my small Kitchen....
I set a simple table because as my son Joey always says....
"There has to be room for all the food!"
And this year, we had 2 curious little girls sitting at the table!!
Even though I am decorated for Christmas in the Dining Room, I decided to go with a Fall Leaf theme for this year's Thanksgiving Day tablescape!
After all, it is still FALL!!
I started with a simple ivory tablecloth......
I placed 2 orange Leaf place mats in the center of the table....
And my crystal Angel salt and pepper shakers....
Since
last November , when I received this candle at a special All Soul's Day
Mass remembering those who passed away in our parish over the past
year, I have burned my late husband Joe's candle at every single Holiday family dinner
to remember him
We
Give Thanks for having had Joe in our lives and even though he is
surrounded by Angels now, he is still here with us always as he lives on
in our hearts....
I used a set of thrifted melamine leaf plates....
You can see the booster seats I bought for the twins, who will be 2 years old at the end of the year...
My vintage gold leaf stemware by Libby..
My gold flatware that Joe bought on Clearance when Service Merchandise was going out of business..
A sneak peek of our Thanksgiving Day dinner which was wonderful....
More to come in my next post....
I know I was supposed to finish my tour of the Den decorated for Christmas but I thought I would just stay in the Dining Room for this post....
The chandy is decorated for Christmas.....
Pink ornaments and gold Angel wings hang from it....
I did it a bit differently this year.....
Only because, after I diligently packed away the pieces of my red transferware collection that I intended to use in this Hutch when I changed the china cupboard in the Den over to Christmas, I also hauled that tub back up to the attic in my haste.....
When I realized it, I had no intention of going up the attic and trying to find that tub so I came up with something a bit different this year....
The top of the Hutch.....
An Angel hangs above the Hutch.....
This sign, that was a gift from a friend, hangs among my Guardian Angel plate collection....
This Home Interiors Nativity set, that I bought in 1978 which was the first Christmas we were married, has graced the top of Joe's maternal Grandmother's Hutch every year since then.....
The 2 Angels on the side of the gold filigree church that Joe bought on Clearance in Bed, Bath and Beyond, are also Home Interiors and were gifted to me by a friend....
I placed baby Jesus in a bed of straw from last year's manger display at my church inside of a vintage milk glass dish.....
This Hutch is a bugger to photograph because of the lights, the mirror background and all the glitz....
I still displayed some red transferware dishes in it...
Along with my collection of Indiana Glass Colony Park Lane Clear Ruby Red Flash Vintage Glassware...
Not much changed on the first shelf.....
With the puck lights on....
And off.....
Gold trees placed inside the glasses, white mica coated Angels and white trees.....
OOOPS!! I forgot to light the manger scene....
Mercury gold glass ornaments placed inside other glasses....
The middle shelf has been changed up since I packed my red transferware soup tureen, that I normally put here, is back up the attic!!
Lights on...
The last Christmas that my late friend Anne Marie was well, she gifted me 2 Tea and Toast sets of vintage Lefton Holly Berry dishes, along with a matching sled!!
This is the original advertisement for it and I think she intended to gift me more pieces every Christmas but the following Christmas, she was hospitalized and passed away in January....
I am a firm believer in things happening for a reason and I believe that I was meant to display these pieces in this Hutch this year....
The pictures do not do justice as the green is almost irridescent on these pieces...
I need to find more of my snow balls to fill the sled....
The trio of white figurines were also gifted to me by Anne Marie....
I love these pieces and I think I am going to look for the tea pot and sugar bowl and creamer to match this set....
And the bottom shelf did not change too much from last year....
Lights on....
Lights off...
I bought the pair of white ceramic deer at a church flea market for $1 a piece!!
The white toy soldiers were $1 a piece last year in Dollar General....
The Manger scene does light up but I do not have it on as the flash from the camera makes it look like it is....
Again, my friend Anne Marie gifted me the "JOY" rock.....
And I do so try to find JOY in every day....
I am actually really happy with how the Hutch turned out this year....
On the side of the Hutch.....
On the vintage window divider between the Living Room and the Dining Room.....
An Angel hangs from it....
In the corner....
A rose gold glittered Santa and deer....
Joe bought the tree piece on clearance at Big Lot's one year for 90% off.....
There is a vintage white table topper and a hand made pink lace scarf that I bought on EBay a few years ago on top of the "table"....
One of my Victorian dolls....
And this is where I will leave off for today.....
I hope you will stop by to visit again on SATURDAY for my next post when I promise, I will finish up the tour of the Den decked out for Christmas!!
I most likely will not get it posted until the evening....
Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!
Thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!
