Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!
I am so happy you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog!!
I prove that you do not have to live in a large home to have several Trees, over 20, in all shapes and sizes!!
The majority of my Christmas decorations are placed in the same room every year and I know that this is not what most Decorator's care for but to me, it like seeing old friends again when I decorate each year for Christmas as many of my decorations were gifts from family and friends...........

I do try to add a few new things and change up things a bit but for the most part, these decorations are part of my Christmas Traditions and bring back a lot of treasured memories.....
I post 3 TIMES A WEEK on MONDAY, THURSDAY AND SATURDAYS.....
As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In my last post, I shared how I decorated the upstairs Hall for Christmas....
And now for a few Personal Notes...
They say Death comes in 3's....
In January, I lost my best friend Anne Marie...
In August, I found my dear neighbor and friend Ed dead in his home....
And a few weeks ago, we lost the last surviving member of the original Kolojejchick siblings and their spouses...
My Aunt Marge passed away peacefully in her sleep at the grand age of 100 1/2 years old!!
My Dad's Brother Lenny was her first husband, who passed away at 49 years old, leaving her with 9 children...
She remarried almost 20 years later and buried that husband too along with a daughter...
In April, on her 100th Birthday, her entire family celebrated with her...
Aunt Marge and her 8 surviving children...
Along with her grandchildren and great grandchildren...
She was in remarkably good health until just a few months ago when she was placed under Hospice care as she was ready to go home to the Lord..
We all laughed when her priest said he thought that Aunt Marge would surely still be here for the second coming of Jesus as she was a person that no one imagined would ever pass away...
She had a remarkable life, visiting her family all over the country and world...
She still sent out Birthday cards to all the cousins and I will treasure the one she sent me just this past January as she always wrote a lovely message inside of it...
At my BIL's funeral last year, she sat with me and spoke about how she thought she would die when my Uncle Lenny passed away but she survived it and knew that I too would survive my husband Joe's passing...
I was so comforted by her words and I will remember that moment with her forever....
She was the last of that generation and now my cousins and I are now the oldest living Generation...
The end of an era for sure...
God Speed Aunt Marge...
I certainly hope this is the last passing I will have to endure for a good while as this is the 6th one in 2 years....
Where
do I store it all is a question I am frequently asked..
For over 20
years, we rented a storage shed to store outside decorations in along with all the
outside furniture during the Winter months....
Most of both my son's toys are
also stored in the shed...
When my husband Joe passed away, I could barely move in this storage shed....
I did a bit of cleaning where I threw out a
bunch of empty boxes Joe had down there, for what I do not know....
I also
donated several items to Salvation Army and gave some neighbors a few
other things..
Last year, I bought a new 6 foot pencil Tree, that only weighs about 7 pounds, that I now am able to store in the Sitting Room closet...
This one is the size of my Dining Room....10' by 10'
I would like to go down to a 10' by 5' one....
I still have a bit of work to do on the
one side but it is looking really good and maybe, just maybe, I may be
able to go down to that smaller shed by the Spring..
We will see....
I store all the outside
furniture now in the back of the house under a tarp on the Patio for
the Winter as I am not going to be hauling it back and forth from the
shed....
I will keep you posted on my progress with this....
I stripped all the lights off of this Tree and separated it into the 2 pieces it came in....
This is the bottom piece....
I took it out of it's metal stand....
And I decided that I would place it in a pot out in the front of the house....
I think it makes a nice looking shrub!!
Much to my surprise, the top half was taller than I thought!!
And actually makes a nice 5 1/2 foot pencil Tree....
I placed it in the stand.....
I am not sure what I am going to do with it, if anything this Season....
I may replace the Tree that I have had in the corner of my front porch for many years with it after the Winter as I think it will make a good outside Tree because of the size, width wise, of it's branches....
I also placed the top of my old 4 foot Tree from the Den, that I saved, in a pot outside.....
I have finished the front of the house and did it in 3 days....
I will be sharing it soon....
A few new Buys.....
I recently bought these in Dollar General on sale for "Buy One, Get One at Half Price"
Not sure if I will leave them unfinished....
These will make great risers for display....
I also bought this metal sign in Ollies at 15% off....
And this set of jingle bells that I added to this wood sled that my son Jim made for me in Cub Scouts....
I also bought some holly bushes in Ollies that I used outside...
Next up is how I decorated the upstairs Bathroom for Christmas.....
Basically, it is the same as last year so I am not going to spend too much time on it...
Again, I stayed with the color theme of the bathroom which is purple and green......
I smartened up last year and instead of taking everything off this Tree, I packed it away, still decorated and much to my surprise, I only have to do a bit of fluffing and it was ready to go for this year....
Why I did not think of doing that years ago is beyond me.....
The sink area.....
And the wreath on the door is one I made.....
