Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!
I am so happy you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog!!
Every room in our townhouse has a different Christmas Theme and Color Scheme!!
I prove that you do not have to live in a large home to have several Trees, over 20, in all shapes and sizes!!
The
majority of my Christmas decorations are placed in the same room every
year and I know that this is not what most Decorator's care for but to
me, it like seeing old friends again when I decorate each year for
Christmas as many of my decorations were gifts from family and
friends...........
I do try to add a few new things and change up
things a bit but for the most part, these decorations are part of my
Christmas Traditions and bring back a lot of treasured memories.....
I post 3 TIMES A WEEK on MONDAY, THURSDAY AND SATURDAYS.....
As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

In my last post, I shared how I decorated the front yard for Christmas with a few changes and some real and faux greenery....

And how it all looks lit up in the evening...
Click
HERE if you missed that post!!
And now for a few Personal Notes...
I am just about finished in the Living Room and hope to call it DONE by Monday..
I decided that since I have been going like "A house on fire" as my Mother would say, i need to cut myself a break and give myself a bit of Grace...
So I decided that I am going to table decorating the Kitchen until after Thanksgiving, not honoring my own Goal to have the whole house decorated by Thanksgiving....
Since I am hosting Thanksgiving Day dinner for my family like I have done for the past 30+ years, I need to focus on that and get the rest of the house back in order....
It usually takes me 3 days to strip the Kitchen down from Falloween, clean it and re-decorate it so I will start that on Black Friday and hope to finish it by the following Monday...
All in all, I think I did fairly good with my yearly goal in trying to be completely decorated by Thanksgiving......
Now most bloggers or social media content creators usually decorate what most people think is "early" but I started doing this a very, very long time ago because of the extent that I decorate....
This is why....
Front Porch and Yard - 3 days
The Downstairs.....
Living Room - 5 days, hopefully
Dining Room - 3 days
Kitchen - remains to be seen
Powder Room - 2 days
Den - 4 days
Nelson Crest - 1 day
The Upstairs....
Hall - 1 day
Master Bedroom - 1 day
Bathroom - 1 day
Craft Room - 0 day...Still decorated from last year
Sitting Room - 0 day....Still decorated from last year
Total - 21 days so far
I am hoping to finish after 24 days of decorating....
If the Sitting Room and Craft Room had to be decorated, it would take me around 30 days...
So you see why I could not possibly start after Thanksgiving!!
Today, I am going to start sharing how I decorated the Den for Christmas....
I decorate the Den before Halloween every year as it is the only room downstairs NOT decorated for Fall/Halloween...
I titled this post, A Dicken's of a Christmas, because I pay homage to the time era of "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dicken's in this room....
It was written in 1843....
When you walk into the Den from the Kitchen, this is to the left.....
This room was originally part of a storage room and a patio that my Dad enclosed when we first moved in after we were married.....
This area to the right was actually part of a storage room but I had my Dad take the wall out to enlarge the room.....
The color theme for Christmas for this room is mainly burgundy, blue and ivory.....
My sister Barb gifted me this after my Mother died and a few years ago, I decided to replace the picture of just her with a picture of both my parents.....

I bought this mail box in Michael's quite a few years back....
On the door to what is now what is left of the storage room.....
I made this wreath....
Funny how when my late husband Joe was alive, I spent a lot of time here in this cozy little corner as Joe watched his hockey games on the larger TV in the Living Rom.....
Now I usually watch TV in the Living Room in the evening or go upstairs to my bedroom.....
I really didn't change a lot of things up from last year....
Above the TV.....

An Old World Style Santa.....
"Twas the Night Before Christmas" books
A mouse with a sign that says, "Not a creature was stirring, not even a Mouse"....
"Twas the Night Before Christmas" was written in 1822....
Another Old World style Santa.....
I made the swag over the picture a very long time ago.....

A You Tube Screen Saver on the TV....
I forgot to put batteries in this sweet Angel as she lights up....
In the corner.....
On the box that my Dad built to disguise the power box....
2 Victorian style Christmas plates that I bought on EBay many years ago....
On the table.....
I filled this tin pocket with some greenery and a lighted branch......
Santa and a snowman....
More snowmen under a cloche....
Above the chair.....
On the shelf.....
More Old World Santas and 2 vintage bottle brush trees placed in a blue transferware sugar and creamer set.....
I framed a picture from a Thomas Kinkade calendar as I have a lot of Thomas Kinkade items in this room....
On the shelf is a pair of sledders from Hallmark that was gifted to me....
I placed a tree in a Santa mug.....

I bought this dapper gentleman in an antique co op......
I think I need to make a point of coming out here to sit and watch TV....
My back door....
The Victorian style Angel was a gift.....
And I also made this a very long time ago....
Along with this small wreath hanging on the door....
To the right of the door.....
My Thomas Kinkade 4 Season clock with my Winter plate......
A Thomas Kinkade Angel that also lights up....
And this is where I will stop for today....
I hope you will stop by to visit again on MONDAY for my next post when I will be sharing my new 4 ft. Tree for the Den along with a not so new Tree that I also used in the Den....
Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!
