I Will Honour Christmas In My Heart

I will honour Christmas in my heart,
and try to keep it all the year.
I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future.
The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me.
I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!

Christmas Front Porch , 2025

Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog!!

Every room in our townhouse has a different Christmas Theme and Color Scheme!!

I prove that you do not have to live in a large home to have several Trees, over 20, in all shapes and sizes!!

The majority of my Christmas decorations are placed in the same room every year and I know that this is not what most Decorator's care for but to me, it like seeing old friends again when I decorate each year for Christmas as many of my decorations were gifts from family and friends...........

I do try to add a few new things and change up things a bit but for the most part, these decorations are part of my Christmas Traditions and bring back a lot of treasured memories.....

I post 3 TIMES A WEEK on MONDAY, THURSDAY AND SATURDAYS.....

Today, I am going to share how I decorated my Front Porch for Christmas this year....

I have made quite a few changes so I will be sharing the front yard decorated for Christmas in my next post as it would have made this post way too long to do it all in one post!!

As you can see , we have already had our first snowflakes here in NEPA!!

In fact, one of the local TV stations always gives away 2 Snow Blowers to whoever predicts the correct date and time of our first inch and that happened on November 11th when they measured the first inch on a snow board....

So there will be some pictures with snow and some without....

We just got a dusting......

It took me 3 days to change the front over from Halloween to Christmas....

For many years, I have cut natural greenery off of the Trees on the side of my road to use in my pots out front because I hate having empty pots ....

I cut branches from 3 different types of Trees....

There is only one tree on the side of the road like this one and I love it's branches....

These are from all the arborvitae trees on the side of the road.....

And we also have a lot of these....

You will see that I used a combination of these and faux greenery in a lot of pots in the front of the house....

I did try to change things up a bit on the front porch.....

I could not bare to pack away this beautiful porch sign that my great niece Caitlin created for me so I left it out!!!

But I wanted to try to "Winterize" it a bit......

I did that by placing this black urn here on the porch to the side of the porch sign.....

You may remember that for several years, I used these white branches that I found in my late neighbor Elly's attic when cleaning out her home for her sons after she passed....

I decorated these branches as if they were a Tree in the upstairs hall....

I decided it was time to do something else with them so I replaced them with this gold tinsel Tree in the upstairs Hall......

I placed the white branches in this urn so that some of them can be seen against the porch sign......

I combined real greenery with some faux greenery and new holly berry bushes, that I bought in Ollie's, that I cut apart....

I also placed a "Santa Stop Here" sign in the urn.....

You can see that there is a light dusting of snow on some of the branches....

Santa is sort of the theme for the porch this year as my twin granddaughters will soon be 2 years old and will be more into Christmas this year.....

I did not have to put up the evergreen garland around the door and railing as I already put it up right after Labor Day, using it for the base of my Fall leaf garland...,,

I simply removed the leaf garland.....

The left side of the porch.....

Now I have had this garland for quite a few years and it stays up all Winter so it was starting to look a bit "weathered"....

I added another piece of garland to it on this railing that separates my front porch from my neighbor's as I live in a townhouse .....

You can see that I also added red velvet bows and a red jingle bell....

I also moved the "Welcome Friends" sign over here, hanging it from the railing....

The wood reindeer is sentimental as it was made for me by my oldest son Joey when he was in Cub Scouts.....

I took out the pot as I realized that it really was looking pretty bad.....

I took out everything, salvaging what I could and started all over....

I used a bunch of faux Christmas florals that I found in my stash.....

I kept the pot in the green foil that it came in....

I kept the red velvet bow on the deer.....

I think it looks much better now....

There are white and red poinsettias and pine cones...

I am happy with how it looks now.....

I placed another pot on top of the red milk can.....

I used all faux florals and greenery in this pot, along with a garden Angel....

2 Birch branches that I bought at Target one year and a candy cane from Dollar Tree were also added to this pot.....

A few years ago, I bought this Christmas plaid ribbon and made a bunch of bows from it....

2 of those bows were placed in the top corners of the garland around the door and a Dollar Tree icicle was hung in the middle....

I also hung 2 more red jingle bells and white snowflake ornaments on the garland around the door.....

I made the wreath on the front door a few years back but I added a few more florals to it this year....

I bought the "Beieve in Santa" sign last year in Dollar General, I had the Santa head and I also bought the reindeer ornaments in Dollar General.....

And this sign was $1 in Dollar General....

To the right side of the door....

This is also sentimental as my younger son Jimmy made this wood sled for me in Cub Scouts.....

I added some new greenery and a new set of jingle bells that I bought in Ollie's last week.....

My late husband Joe bought this snowman in Wegman's and the candy canes came from Ocean State Job Lot....

I hung a "Happy Holidays" sign above the porch light that I added a bow to....

My childhood sled has graced my front porch for over 46 years now....

I added some new faux greenery this year....

This year, I moved the lighthouse I made from clay pots over here....

And I made a bow for it.....

I decided to hang Santa signs up this year....

I just bought this metal one in Ollie's for 15 % off.....

The original price was $14.99....

I bought this yard stake Santa sign a few years ago and decided to hang it this year.....

For 2 years, I had left out a chair on the front porch.....

I decided against it this year as I kept tripping over it when I had to get to my shovels and ice chippers during the Winter last year....

In the corner is the tree that I bought in Target about 20 years ago.....

I topped it with a bow and a Tree Farm sign and ornaments....

Hanging on the post is a tin stocking I bought a long time ago filled with faux florals.....

My Christmas porch flag....

Also new this year is that I changed where I displayed this set of 3 candy canes, attaching them to the top of the railing....

I also added 2 strands of new garland that I bought last year when Big Lot's was going out of business to the top of the railing.....

In front of the railing.....

I filled the small planters with real greenery, a present yard stake and a solar light....

Joe bought me this star from the Amish farmer and I added a small wreath to it and a set of lights....

I used to hang it in the middle of the house but Joe usually climbed the ladder to do so....

And another present yard stake and Dollar Tree solar light in this planter....

You can see the mail box cover I have on the mail box that holds garden tools on the side porch railing.....

I wired the "Snow" sign to the other pillar of the porch....

I also want to point out that I once again hung wreaths on the windows and boughs of greenery on the window sills....

So those were the changes that I made to the Front Porch this year when decorating for Christmas....

And yes, I do have it lit up at night because all the lights are on a Dusk til Dawn timer that I am not changing....

In my next post, I will be sharing the Front Yard decorated for Christmas with a bit of snow and hopefully, how it all looks in the evening lit up....
