I Will Honour Christmas In My Heart

I will honour Christmas in my heart,
and try to keep it all the year.
I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future.
The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me.
I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!

Christmas in my "New" Bedroom, Christmas Home Tour, 2025

Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog!!

Every room in our townhouse has a different Christmas Theme and Color Scheme!!

I prove that you do not have to live in a large home to have several Trees, over 20, in all shapes and sizes!!

The majority of my Christmas decorations are placed in the same room every year and I know that this is not what most Decorator's care for but to me, it like seeing old friends again when I decorate each year for Christmas as many of my decorations were gifts from family and friends...........

I do try to add a few new things and change up things a bit but for the most part, these decorations are part of my Christmas Traditions and bring back a lot of treasured memories.....

I post 3 TIMES A WEEK on MONDAY, THURSDAY AND SATURDAYS.....

Welcome to the 2025 Christmas Season here on A Debbie- Dabble Christmas.....

From now on, to the beginning of 2026, I will be posting here on my Christmas Blog.....

It takes me almost a full month to decorate for Christmas, both inside and out...

Which I why I usually start decorating the upstairs in October!

Last year, since I never got to take Christmas down upstairs because of my husband Joe's illness and passing, I sort have had a head start....

This year, I did manage to take down and pack away Christmas in the Bathroom and the hallway but I did not get to take down Christmas in the Sitting Room and the Craft Room because it got hot early in the Spring and the attic was like an inferno by the time I found time to do so .....

With that being said, I once again had a bit of a head start this year...

I just finished decorating the front porch and front yard for Christmas as I took advantage of the warmer weather we have been having...

I also have decorated for Christmas the upstairs Bathroom, the upstairs Hallway, the Den and the Powder Room downstairs...

These I managed to do before and right after Halloween!!

As I mentioned in my last post, I spent 5 days in my Bedroom cleaning, rearranging, reorganizing and going through my late husband Joe's Pittsburgh Memorabilia...

I feel that now, 18 months after Joe's passing, I finally made the bedroom mine so in this post, I want to share the changes I made and how I decorated what is now my bedroom for Christmas....

We will start at the bedroom door....

This is what it looked like after I made some changes...

The Holy Family plaque is done in Mother of Pearl and was gifted to Joe's paternal grandmother by her oldest son, George, who bought it in Italy when stationed there during WWII....

I also hung a wedding picture of my parents above the door so I can see it as the door is always open except in the Summer when I have the air conditioner on....

I hung this white lace Victorian style dress on the door....

For Christmas, I hang a wreath on all the room doors .....

I moved the dress over, hanging it on the chiffdrobe....

I made the wreath....

This year, I placed a Victorian doll head in the center of the wreath....

And I hung a gold velvet stocking from the wreath....

The shelf above the door.....

Both my son's graduation pictures......

Above the closet is a set of Home Interiors pictures....

The bed, which was Joe's great grandfather's, is in the corner of the bedroom....

I was inspired to do this for several reasons....

One is that it provides storage behind the bed....

And the second reason was that I loved the look of the drapes and curtains behind the bed when Joe and I stayed for a weekend at the Frederick Stegmaier Mansion....

We stayed in the Amelia Suite, the same suite that former President Jimmy Carter and the First Lady Roslyn Carter stayed in twice when they visited NEPA...

I rearranged a few things on this wall to the left of the bed....

I have a round table on this side of the bed......

I have a lace topper on the table that depicts a Christmas Village....

I married a chandy that I bought in Target with a brass chandy that I took the electrical components out of...

You can see the chandy from Target threaded through the brass one....

Last year, I bought these candles from Amazon....

They are remote controlled....

I then bought these in Dollar Tree.....

And here is the chandy with the lights and the candles lit....

 I love it!!!

I do go upstairs around 8:3opm and watch TV in bed and always light the chandy up....

I already shared the changes I made to this side of the bed which was Joe's....

In the corner is what I call my Victorian Lady Tree....

 A Home Interiors picture....

Two Victorian mothers holding their sons on the shelf....

 A vintage Mother's plate....

I did leave this Tree up from 2 years ago after Joe's passing.....

Funny thing is that he always told me to just leave it up as it is decorated with hats, shoes, purses, dress forms and other Victorian style ornaments....

I went with a pink and blue color theme for the Tree......

The Tree is topped with 2 white feathers and a bow I made from blue and pink ribbon......

I tucked blue and pink flowers into the Tree....

You can see the ornaments better with the lights off....

I tucked blue roses into the Tree....

I do enjoy having the Tree lit in the evening when I am watching TV in bed....

On the table that the Tree is set up on....

Hat boxes, gloves......

A vintage purse with a blue hanky and a pin with my first initial "D"

2 Victorian shoe ornaments...

Next to the Tree is my Mother's  Lane cedar Hope Chest....

This is how I had it styled until I decorated this area for Christmas....

And now for Christmas.....

I first got the idea to decorate this area in a Village theme last year....

Again, I went with a blue and pink color theme....

The tea pot to a Rosie B. tea set.....

I placed a flocked tree inside the tea pot....

Christmas figurines, pink bottle brush trees and a cloche ornament....

Blue snowflake ornaments inside of the sugar bowl and creamer.....

I bought the blue velvet like reindeer ornament in Big Lot's last year before they closed....

IN the center is a pink church that I bought many years ago in Target.....

I also bought the blue snowflake ornaments at Big Lot's....

The blue nutcrackers were $1 each in Dollar General....

I had the 2 figurines for many years....

On the right side......

A blue snowflake in the branch tree....

A deer bought in Gabes....

Last year, my dear friend and neighbor Ed gifted me a box of candy in this pretty tin.....

I thought it would look perfect displayed here....

I am so very glad that I kept it because now, Ed is gone too and at least, I have this to look at and smile when I remember him.....

The white Santa is also Home Interiors....

I enjoy having this lit up in the evening....

This is the only area in my bedroom decorated for Christmas this year....

This is my TV stand.....

It used to be in the Living Room but when we bought a larger TV, we moved it up into the bedroom.....

I decorated the top of it again in Victorian fashion.....

I bought the small curio like piece in Target many years ago....

On top of it is a Victorian hat that I made and more Home Interiors figurines.....

The curio is decorated with perfume and cologne bottles, purses, gloves and vintage dresser sets...

I will share more of this in a future post after Christmas...

My son has a Roku hooked up to this TV so I can stream and I still have a working VHS player hooked up so I can watch all the original HGTV programs that I taped many years ago including all their Christmas shows and specials.....

I have a little sitting area set up at the bottom of the bed where I can also sit and watch TV......

And put my feet up.........

Next to the TV stand is my vanity....

I hung an antique nightgown that was gifted to me by a friend on the side of the TV stand...

My bedroom furniture is my Mother's waterfall set that was gifted to her by her parents when she was 16 years old which makes it 90 years old as my mother would be 106 this year...

It became mine as a teenager when my parents bought a new bedroom set for themselves....

My Dad antiqued it for me to look like a "French Provincial" set that was popular in the early 70's.....

More Home interiors items and collectible plates.....

Several Moss Rose pieces just like the dishes that I collected and display in my Dining Room hutch....

And yes, I do sit here and put my make up on.....

Next to the vanity is my jewelry armoire that Joe gifted me....

I made this.....

I already shared how I re-did Joe's Pittsburgh Corner in my last post....

Since I passed on the ornaments from the Pittsburgh Tree that I used to set up for Joe on top of the desk, to my son's........

I opted not to decorate this area for Christmas .....

I can ride my bike and still see the TV....

The last area I want to share is the chiffdrobe....

The closet and top area above the drawers are lined inside with cedar.....

The top of it....

And there you have it......

I now feel my bedroom is mine with the changes I made to it...

And I really do enjoy the area I decorated for Christmas.....

I hope you will stop by to visit again on MONDAY for my next post as I continue my Christmas Home Tour..........
