I Will Honour Christmas In My Heart

I will honour Christmas in my heart,
and try to keep it all the year.
I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future.
The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me.
I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!

Christmas in the Den...China Cupboard, 2 More Trees and Doll House, 2021

Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog!!

Every room in our townhouse has a different Christmas Theme and Color Scheme!!

I prove that you do not have to live in a large home to have several Trees, over 20, in all shapes and sizes!!

The majority of my Christmas decorations are placed in the same room every year and I know that this is not what most Decorator's care for but to me, it like seeing old friends again when I decorate each year for Christmas as many of my decorations were gifts from family and friends...........

I do try to add a few new things and change up things a bit but for the most part, these decorations are part of my Christmas Traditions and bring back a lot of treasured memories.....

Just a reminder, I will be NOW posting 3 times a week as I realized that in some rooms, there is just too much to share in one post SO until the New Year, I will be posting on SUNDAYS, TUESDAYS and THURSDAYS so be sure to check back on those days to see a new post......

Today, I will be sharing the rest of my Den decorated for Christmas , including Nelson Crest, my Victorian Doll House.....

But first, I want to Thank Niki, over at Life as a Leo Wife, for choosing my post, Christmas Kitchen Beverage Bar, Gingerbread Village and More, as one of her features from last week's Traffic Jam Weekend Link Party!!!

Thanks for your kind words, Niki!!!

Please stop by and link up to this delightful party!!!

Skipping personal notes today as there is really nothing new to report.....

In my last post, I shared these areas of the Den.....

Click HERE if you missed it!!!

We will start where I left off.....

Next to the computer armoire is the second Tree in the Den......

On a vintage smoking stand is a Victorian styled feather Tree......

The topper on the Tree is the same topper I had on my Tree in my bedroom when growing up.....

Yes, at the age of 8 years old, I had my Mother buy me a small Tree for my bedroom in McCrory's so I could decorate it myself!!

I decorated this Tree with a series of ornaments that depict Children in the 1940's and 50's.....

I bought them in Michael's many years ago....

I just love them!!!

Look at the hairstyles on the girls.....

I love the boys dressed in the Cowboy and Indian outfits....

 On the shelves below.....

A set of fairy lights were added to the Tree.....

Next to this, is Nelson Crest!!!

Nelson Crest is decked out in her Christmas Finery.....

There is a fresh coat of Snow on the ground.....

The side yard.....

Wreaths are hung on the windows just like they are on my home......

Garland is draped around the door on the second floor balcony....

After I took the initial photos for this post, I added candy canes that I found in my stash to the garland around the door.....

An angel and toy soldiers sit on the railing and a broom is on the porch for sweeping the snow off of it......

 The front yard......

 A sled filled with presents.....

I turned the Dollar Tree trees on....

The front porch.....

A Wreath hangs on the door and candle lantern on the side...

A large nutcracker is displayed on the side of the door and milk and eggs have just been delivered from the local Dairy.....

Toy soldiers, urns with evergreen trees and potted poinsettias are on the steps....

Skates are left outside for the next trip down to the frozen pond.....

On the other side is a sled and a newly built snowman...

Pictures with the Trees turned on.....

And the side yard.......

Some photos of the trees changing colors.....

Nelson Crest is on a turntable so let's turn her around and get a look of the inside.....

Just like my house, there is a Tree in every room of Nelson Crest!!!

Let's start in the downstairs.....

The Dining Room

In Victorian times, the Dining Room was usually the largest room of the Public rooms as the Victorians loved to make an event out of dining with serving many courses of one meal.....

There was always a fire place for heat....

You can see the Tree in this room.....

The table is set for Christmas Dinner.....

A nativity set is displayed on top of the hutch just like in my Dining Room.....

Mr. Nelson is sitting in the Parlor, reading the newspaper after a long day at work.....

This Christmas Tree lights up.....

On the second floor.....

Rose's room......

Rose's room is purple just like mine was as a child.....

Rose also has a tree in her room like I did as a child.....

As a Mother of 2 sons, I chose to have a little girl's room in Nelson Crest....

The Master Bedroom....

Mrs. Nelson has just finished wrapping some gifts and is sitting down with a cup of Tea.....

I made the Tree for this room......

The third floor.....

The Bathroom.....

A small Tree in there just like I have in my 2 Bathrooms.....

And the Music Room.....

Also a Tree in this room......

I always say this is my dream house because it has NO KITCHEN!!

I truly do HATE to cook!!!

I chose the name for this amazing Pink Painted Lady because of the man who was kind enough to build her for me, Roy Nelson, making this little girl's dream of owning a Victorian Doll House come true at the age of 50 years old!!!

Roy was 88 years old when he built my doll house!!!!

I had a friend who was a reporter for the local newspaper who had previously featured me in an article because of all my Trees, write an article on this man who built over 30 doll houses....

We had the article laminated for him.....

You can read about this amazing man by clicking HERE......

Next to the doll house is another chair...

That is the back of one of my Kitchen Trees......

The Believe sign is left up year round.....

Next to the chair is my china cupboard.....

Again, I stuck with a Victorian theme here in the Den.....

On top of the China Cupboard, I set up a Caroler display....

The ice church and house were gifted to me by my friend Anne Marie....

I bought the Caroler set many years ago at Country Folks after Christmas at 50 % off....

The blue bottle brush tree was bought at Big Lot's a few years back..

 My Thomas Kinkade calendar.....

On the side of the china cupboard is a small table.....

Underneath the table on the floor are 2 Bearington Bears.....

I set up a Village inside the china cupboard......

I kept out some of the blue transferware dishes that I normally display inside....

Top shelf.....

 Middle shelf

 Bottom shelf

The Village spills over on to the vintage suitcases underneath the china cupboard....

A small wreath I made hangs on the door...

Some of the vintage reindeer that were my parents were used in this display....

On the side of the china cupboard is the third Tree in the Den.....

I decorated this Tree with all my Thomas Kinkade ornaments....

A vintage plate also gifted to me by my friend Anne Marie....

I bought the star at Ocean State Job Lot and it will be used when this Tree is turned into a Winter Tree after Christmas...

In the evening....

And that ends my tour of the Den and my room by room Christmas Home Tour.....

On Tuesday, I will be posting my Annual Christmas Home Tour showcasing my entire townhouse, both inside and out decorated for Christmas, including all 22 Trees....

  4. I just love those 1950's children on the tree! I don't remember seeing them before. They remind me of the children in my early readers in 1961. Oh, the memories. I love the way you mix vintage and new things and develop the best vignettes. And of course Nelson Crest. It wouldn't be Christmas without your wonderful dollhouse!

  5. I'm glad someone else has more trees than me so I can say, "Mine? NOthing! You should see Debbie's!" And I do love that doll house. So charming! Merriest!

  6. You have outdone yourself, Debbie! I read at your other blog you had 22 decorated Christmas trees, nearly fell over and quickly came here to check out what you've done. There are just too many things to look at, I've got sensory overload, LOL! Loved the little pair of ice skates at the base of the steps of the doll house, and also the old-fashioned milk bottles in the metal carrier on the porch! Also want that wood star with the bird in it that's on top of the small tree - that is gorgeous, love it! I'm still blogging although not regularly as I used to; now with winter upon us here I'll probably be blogging a little more often. My blog is Maison Newton, https://maisonnewton.blogspot.com
