Hopefully.......
Jim will be off now until the end of the year as he had surgery on both eyelids today because they were drooping and effecting his vision.....
So hopefully, they will be use to each other by then......
As to whether we will be continuing to go in the mornings when they are working will remain to be seen as I am not sure we can handle 2 dogs.....
If we were leaving them out into a fenced in yard, it would be different but we would have to walk both dogs on leashes....
We will give it a try and if it is too much, Jim understands and said not to worry about it....
My FB friend, Annette, from NY, shared these pictures last year and it took my breath away so when she posted pictures again this year, I asked of I could share them on my blog.....
She graciously consented.....
Annette sponsors Angels that are on display for Christmas outside of her church as part of a Fund Raiser........
They are in Loving Memory of her parents, her in-laws and her sister.....
I thought that this was such a wonderful idea to incorporate memorials into the church's Christmas decorations!!!
Don't you think it is simply beautiful?????
Thanks so much, Annette, for letting me share these!!!
In my last post, I shared the 3 Trees, the Village and a set of Carolers in the Living Room.....
Click HERE if you missed that Post.....
Today, I am going to start at the front door.....
I decided to hang this stocking from the curtain rod.....
And a Santa head on the door knob....
On the side of the hutch.....
A Christmas floral arrangement with LED lighted branches mixed in......
There are sconces on each side of the hutch
The hutch has a religious theme for Christmas.....
On top of the hutch are gold glittered churches and a set of vintage choir boys that was gifted to me by my friend, Anne Marie
The color theme for Christmas for the Living Room is red, green and gold......
In a previous post, I shared that I glued fan folded music sheet paper to Victorian Ephemera ornaments......
I hung them from the garland above the vintage mantel mirror that hangs above the hutch.....
I thought they went well with the choir boys......
Again this year, I have displayed my Praying Santa Collection inside the hutch.....
This collection started when I used to order personalized Christmas cards to send out......
One year, I ordered the Praying Santa card......
On the top shelf is a gold church with the front of the card, cut to fit in front of the church......
Santa has parked his sled outside and is entering the church.......
There are several sets of white angels in the hutch.....
On the middle shelf is a book that I bought at The Catholic Guild Store when my sons were young.....
The Title is "Santa and the Christ Child"
In front of the book is a figurine of the Praying Santa.......
On the bottom shelf is the inside of the card which i framed.....
Along with another figurine and a small photo frame of the Praying Santa
There is also gold glittered candle holders and gold mercury glass bottles.....
On the other side of the hutch.....

Some of my Santa collection on the stairs.....

A swag that I made hanging on the other side of the steps.....
An Angel that I made last year....
2 lanterns on the stairs....
I use this chair for seasonal displays......
A Bearington Bear.....
A vintage Christmas hanky and Golden Book.....
My Mother bought the doll for me from the Hospitality Shop when she was hospitalized for surgery when I was 8 years old....
The ornament is an Avon Cologne decanter....
Underneath the chair.....
2 lanterns with a vintage deer and Santa boot inside of them.....
In my previous post, I shared this Tree decorated with Shiny Brite ornaments....
The top of the curio.....
I placed ornaments and Christmas florals inside the curio to add a bit of Christmas to it....
Looking down the hall to the Kitchen.....
You may remember that i took apart a swag that used to hang in the Kitchen above the sink.....
I straightened it out and added a bow.....
The wreath is hung above the mirror in the hall.......
Hanging on the mirror.....
A Dollar Tree sign that I added red tinsel trim to......
A wreath that I made using a vintage plastic poinsettia......
A swag that I made hangs on the other wall.......
The Stereo table......
2 vintage styled Santa's under glass domes....
2 vintage knee huggers from my childhood....
The chubby holes on the table.....
A Byer's Choice Caroler....
This vintage style doll head vase was gifted to me by a friend....
Embroidery hoops that I made last year hang on the soffit......
In the corner by the Dining Room.....
Joe bought a raffle chance for $1.00 at a Fund Raiser at our church and won this Nativity set......
You may remember that I just made this burlap tree....
I made this tree out of thread spools last year, recreating a smaller version of one that my Dad made.....
"Jesus is the Reason for the Season"
On the faux window.....
I shared this Tree in my previous post.....
The vintage 3 tiered table.....
My friend Anne Marie gifted me this Snowman last year.....

Congratulations on the new granddog! What a cutie. Can't wait to hear about their adventures together!!
ReplyDeleteYour decorating is outstanding (I am very impressed with the sheet music wreath myself). I spotted those knee huggers. When I was at my daughter's house this week, I spied my mothers on her mantle. I remember when my mom was downsizing and gave them to her. I don't think my mom thought they would become "cool" again. Especially with the faded outfits. But I have seen them all over Facebook. You have so many pretties!
Can I pick a favorite room in your holiday house? Hmmm...probably not...but if I were FORCED to, I would say the living room. All those figurines make me feel like a little girl in a doll shop!! Although, I think it would kill me to look and not touch! Haha! Ps..cute pup!!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks very festive, Debbie. Also, I LOVE your tiffany lamp! Hope you are well and happy in this beautiful season. Hugs. Susan
ReplyDeleteSo excited to see the new granddog, Debbie! Such a cutie pie. I'm thankful everything went well with the procedure too. LOVE the angels you shared (they were gorgeous) and the Nativity set looks like something our family had from Germany. It's really beautiful! As always the festive touches you add throughout with reds and gold are amazing. Hope your day is a fun one, CoCo
ReplyDeleteBeautiful angels! Cute puppy you have there too.
ReplyDeleteGee, I love LOVE Santa…and snowmen! Thanks for the delightful tour, everything is so beautiful. That nativity is just lovely and your cross-stitch is a treasured heirloom. Merry Merry Christmas to you and yours, V
