I am so happy that you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog....
Today, I will be sharing my very Victorian looking pink Dining Room ........
I changed some things around in this room so I will be sharing it in 2 posts......
But first, I want to Thank Rebecca, over at Zucchini Sisters, for featuring my post, Wreath Re-Do and Dabbling, from last week's Celebrate Your Story Link Party!!!
I looked for a "button" to advertise Rebecca's party or blog but I could not find one....
Thanks so much, Rebecca!!
Please stop by and link up to this lovely party!!!
Since I have retired and have time to "play" so to speak, I have been rearranging my Christmas decorations.....
Now this is not an easy task as each room has a different color theme and decorating theme.......
At the end of last Season, I did pass on quite a bit of decorations to my Daughter-in-law and niece so that has given me a bit of flexibility......
One of the things I passed on to my daughter-in-law Danielle was one of these gold tinsel Trees that I have here in the buffet....
This is how the buffet looked for several Christmas Seasons.......
I have moved the remaining gold tinsel Tree into the Living Room and decided to move the White Birch LED lighted branch Tree in to the Dining Room on the Buffet......
Displaying only one Tree here allowed me to keep the vintage hurricane lamp and saved me from packing it up and hauling it up the attic!!
And gave this area a whole different look!!!
This Tree really catches one's eye, even from the Living Room......
We will start my tour of the Dining Room here in the corner.......
I changed out the swag on top of the Home Interiors fan picture for a Christmas one that I made..
A tussie mussie that I also made hangs in the corner......
Sorry for the glare on the sage green crystalized apples....
On a small shelf is a Lenox Santa that was a gift from a friend.....
I replaced the picture that normally hangs here with a Pink Santa picture bought in Michael's a few years back......
I decorated the LED branch Tree a little bit with Dollar Tree white snowflakes.....
On a pedestal in the corner is a handmade Old World Santa that I bought at a Craft Fair......
Don't you just love the roses embossed on his pink velvet outfit?????
There are 2 sets that were bought in Sam's Club many years ago on this buffet.....
Mrs. Snowman and her child is part of one set.......
As is the Christmas Tree on this cake stand.....
I added bottle brush trees and pink ornaments to the display.....
On a shelf beneath the picture above the buffet.....
Is a gold glittered Santa......
In the center of the buffet is Santa's Sleigh and reindeer which was the other set bought at Sam's Club.....
The sleigh is flanked by 2 gold trees bought at J.C. Penney's some years ago...
I love that I did not have to pack this lamp, which was a flea market find, away......
Mr. Snowman and the little one is part of the other set.....
I am very happy with the changes that I made to the buffet this Christmas.....
My great niece Cortney already has dibs on these 2 sets when I am ready to pass them on......
I am thrilled that she would want them!!
Between the buffet and the hutch, which were Joe's maternal Grandmother's, is a small curio........
Above the curio.....
On a Home Interiors shelf....
A white mica covered angel......
On top of the curio.....
3 Department 56 Snow Babies......
On the floor in front of the curio......
I bought this Santa in Salvation Army for $5.00!!!
I nearly ran across the store when I saw him to grab him before anyone else did!!!!
I added a few Christmas touches inside the curio.....
Next to the curio, which was my dear neighbor Elly's, is the hutch....
The inside of the hutch is filled with vintage Moss Rose dishes that I bought at yard sales, flea markets and estate sales......
This is how the top of the hutch looked last year....
This year, I decided to move the Nativities out of the Living Room hutch where I had displayed them for the last several years....
So I moved this Home Interiors Nativity that I bought the first year that we were married, 41 years ago, back to where I originally displayed it.......
I kept the pink church here and the large pink mercury glass ornaments....
The angels were a different Home Interiors set to add to the Nativity......
I placed baby Jesus on a bed of hay taken one year from the manger at our church and displayed him in a vintage milk glass dish.....
Above in the corner, hangs an angel......
I like having this Nativity back in the Dining Room......
On the window divider in this corner that separates the Dining Room from the Living Room.....
The Season's Greetings sign was bought at Michael's.....
And I made this wreath.....
Pink ornaments and white chandy ornaments hang from the crystal chandy in the Dining Room....
I embellished the shades.......
And this is where I will leave off for today......
This past weekend, we had our first snow storm of the Season which started out as freezing rain, sleet and then snow.....
We were originally predicted to get over 6 inches of snow but that did not happen.....
We got about 4-5 inches and amazingly so, it did not stick to the roads or sidewalks too much but it did stick to the Trees and shrubs creating quite a magnificent looking Winter Wonderland.....
I took these pictures on Monday morning in the front of our house........
Looking out our front door.....
The trees on the road and the one tree across from us......
My front yard......
Looking down towards the trees on the side of the road through my neighbor's yard....
Looking up the sidewalk in front of the other townhouses in my row toward the woods.......
These are the woods at the end of our row of townhouses......
I took these pictures from our back yard......
These are the trees on the aide of our road....
Looking up through my neighbor's back yards at the woods on the side of us....
This is my lilac tree.....
And the trees in the back of the yard.....
Absolutely beautiful!!!
Mother Nature's decorations, don't you think?????
In my next post, I will be sharing the rest of the Dining Room, including this Tree........
So I hope you will stop by to visit again soon!!
Thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!
If you do not have a blog, PLEASE give me some way to reply to your comment, maybe by including your email in your comment. If I can not find a way to reach you, I will reply on the post where you commented so please check back......

Please take some time to visit these terrific hosts and all those joining in on the fun!
You must start in July!!! How fun to have areas so you can use different color schemes. And all that snow! Definitely holiday time!
ReplyDeleteThe first snow always looks so lovely - so pure and white and fluffy. Your pictures are wonderful. Here in Ohio we got the sleet and rain, but not the snow. Brrrrr. I think it is cold the rest of the week and warmer and rainy on Sunday. Your room is just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOMG dear friend, snow and all ! Your house looks gorgeous as usual at this time of year and for the special Christmas holiday.
ReplyDeleteYou did a lovely job styling your chandelier, I love it ! The manger looks adorable. So many amazing details, you always make me go two and three times to enjoy each pic.
Thank you for visiting me and commenting on our new baby addition to our family. Our Leonela is just an angel, all of her 9 lbs and 56 centimeters, quite a large.
Have a very happy December.
Fabby
Just beautiful! I felt like, I went back to Victorian Era. so, so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHi Deb, you have been busy, it looks like. Everything is so pretty and you have so many beautiful pieces to decorate with. The snow was beautiful. We had some and the kids were excited when they got here, but nothing as pretty as what you had. Thanks for your sweet visit and all your kind words. I love keeping Christmas and I appreciate any kind words I get as I put my heart and soul into it, which I don't have to tell you. I am so far behind as I started so late so I am trying to post after I get each room done, so I will be doing more than usual. I'm afraid you will mostly only get standard red and green from me but I have to do pink in the guest room. I hope you won't be disappointed in the kitchen as I'm afraid I have kind of joined the club in there..Happy Tuesday my friend..xxoJudy
ReplyDeleteLoving all of your pink lady. My hairdresser would just adore this! She is a huge fan of pink! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteYour yard looks beautiful blanketed in white!
ReplyDeleteYour home is a Christmas wonderland, inside and out! Beautiful...and that sweet Lenox Santa has just stolen my heart. Oh, so cute!!
ReplyDeleteYou know, I never thought to use pink in my Christmas display but I really like how you used it. It's a soft pink and subtle. It goes really well with the white and that $5 pink santa is cute!
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie, I've been recouping from the knee replacement and still am not terribly mobile....You have ever corner a vignette...of Victorian lusciousness. I use elements of Victorian, but when I had a shop and did shows, I always did Victorian ornaments on one tree, it was fun to '
ReplyDeletepinkify' somewhere when I had a house full of men. LOVE the wreath....the white just really makes it nummy! And for once we didn't get your snow as usually if we get clobbered in Chicagoland, you do...Lovely White Christmas!
So fairy the first snow! And also so fairy your pink Christmas
ReplyDeleteHugs
