I Will Honour Christmas In My Heart

I will honour Christmas in my heart,
and try to keep it all the year.
I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future.
The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me.
I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!

Using Faux Greenery and Old Christmas Tree Branches Outside, 2026

Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog!!

Every room in our townhouse has a different Christmas Theme and Color Scheme!!

I prove that you do not have to live in a large home to have several Trees, over 20, in all shapes and sizes!!

The majority of my Christmas decorations are placed in the same room every year and I know that this is not what most Decorator's care for but to me, it like seeing old friends again when I decorate each year for Christmas as many of my decorations were gifts from family and friends...........

I do try to add a few new things and change up things a bit but for the most part, these decorations are part of my Christmas Traditions and bring back a lot of treasured memories.....

I post 3 TIMES A WEEK on MONDAY, THURSDAY AND SATURDAYS.....

And now for a few Personal Notes...

For the New Year, I am trying something different with my 3 times weekly posts....

On THURSDAYS, I will feature what I cooked and ate during the week, showcasing local cuisine and a few recipes for things that I actually made...

I decided that on SATURDAYS, I will showcase What I Have Been Up To in the past week, sharing events and places I went to, if any....

On MONDAYS, I will be featuring What I Have Bought or Been Gifted Recently, if anything...

It is SATURDAY but I have nothing to share in regards to events I have been to because I have been sick all week....

The fever and chills are gone and I will feel fine one day and then the next day, I have the sore throat back and my nose is running like a faucet!!

But I have still been busy which leads to today's post....

We have had a week of unseasonably warm weather, hitting 70 several times, which usually does not happen here in NEPA in November....

So even though I was not at my best, I took advantage of that warm weather and packed up all of my Falloween outdoor decor and decorated the Front Porch and Yard for Christmas....

You may remember that my late husband Joe bought this 6 ft. flocked Tree on Clearance for 90% off in Big Lot's for around $8!!

This year, I decided to take it apart and only use the top half of the Tree as a table top Tree in my Sitting Room....

That worked out beautifully...

I then took apart that bottom half of the Tree, taking the branches off the main pole.....

I wanted to use them outside in the pots in the front of my house instead of going to the side of my road to cut branches off the trees there like I have done for about 10 years....

Joe used to do that for me and the last 2 years, I did it myself but it took up quite a bit of time....

It was easier to fill the pots rather than drag them through the house ( remember I live in a townhouse) to put out in the back for the Winter or just leave empty pots outside, which does not look that nice...

I used all the flocked branches, along with other faux ones that I had and use to add to the live ones from the road...

We will start on the Front Porch.......

I added white branches to this black urn and this year, I also added a set of white wired warm white LED lights to them.....

I placed a Dollar Tree candy cane in the center and a "Santa Stop Here" sign along with 2 birch branches that I bought in Target on clearance after Christmas several years ago... ....

There are 4 of the flocked tree branches and several other faux greenery ones, along with some holly berry ones, that I bought last year for a pop of color.....

In the pot on top of the red milk can by the front door.....

I also added 2 birch branches, another Dollar Tree candy cane and placed an angel in the center of this one....

Again, I used other faux greenery and holly berry bushes in this pot....

Faux garland is wrapped around the base of the pot....

You may remember that last year, I took apart the 7ft. slim cashmere tree that I had used in my Dining Room before I bought a new 6 ft. pencil thin Tree for the Dining Room....

I now use the top half of the Tree out on the Front Porch year round.....

For Christmas this year, I decorated it a bit......

I hung new red cardinal ornaments on it, along with 2 other ornaments I recently bought at Dollar Tree.....

I placed my Dad's red tool box at the base of the Tree.....

And placed a faux swag on top of it.....

I will be looking for a big pot to put this Tree in next Spring and I honestly do not have any idea why I did not think of that this past Summer...

In the corner of the porch, is a metal stocking hanging on a post......
,

I added a flocked branch to the arrangement that I already had inside of it.....

In front of the railing, in this small planter, I simply placed a piece of an old garland along with a Dollar General solar light....

In the planter, on the side of the porch, where I had coleus growing in the Summer....

I also placed a piece of old garland on top of it....

Over in the flower bed under the Living Room window.....

I filled the pots on both sides of my chippy Angel, after I cut back the hostas that I planted inside of them.....

Again, I added 2 birch branches and 2 candy canes in each pot.....

I also used the faux greenery that I previously used in these pots with the live greenery from the road....

Same thing in this pot on the other side...

I am really happy with how these 2 pots look this year......

The Dollar Tree candy canes do light up with use of batteries but must be turned on at the bottom of them so I do not have batteries in them but instead placed them where there is other lighting that helps illuminate them in the evenings....

Last year, I placed the bottom of the old Dining Room Tree in this pot and for Christmas this year, I added lights to it.....

Out in the front flower bed on top of the slope......

I placed both flocked and unflocked branches in this pot.....

And I did the same inside this vintage red watering can.....

Along with another Dollar General solar light, that was only $1....

On the park bench.....

I placed this light bulb solar light in the larger pot.....

I wrapped a piece of garland around this lantern, which I need to add a battery operated candle to, adding pine cones from the side of my road to it.....

A red light bulb solar light in the smaller pot along with this lantern like solar light....

And also a birch branch and a small hook from which a terra cotta cherub hangs...
.

I bought the light bulb solar lights several years ago and I may need to replace them if they do not get recharged with enough sunlight to work....

In this pot in the red truck planter, is the top of my old Den Tree.....

Using these branches and the other ones I already had, saved me from going to the side of my road to cut ones off the trees there and that saved me a lot of time.....

I am happy too that I got to make use out of that Tree, in a different way, as my late husband Joe was so thrilled that he bought it for under $10.....

Now that you got a sneak peek of how I decorated the Front Porch and Yard for Christmas,  I hope you will stop by to visit again on MONDAY when I will be sharing the entire Front Porch and Yard.....

It did take me the usual 3 days to decorate it but 2 days were pretty much only half days but still tied up a day...

I plan on finishing my Powder Room today so that will take me up to 18 days as it took me 2 days to decorate and clean that room...

Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!

Thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!
