Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!
I am so happy you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog!!
I prove that you do not have to live in a large home to have several Trees, over 20, in all shapes and sizes!!
The majority of my Christmas decorations are placed in the same room every year and I know that this is not what most Decorator's care for but to me, it like seeing old friends again when I decorate each year for Christmas as many of my decorations were gifts from family and friends...........

I do try to add a few new things and change up things a bit but for the most part, these decorations are part of my Christmas Traditions and bring back a lot of treasured memories.....
I post 3 TIMES A WEEK on MONDAY, THURSDAY AND SATURDAYS.....
As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

In my last post, I shared how I did with my October monthly goals.....
And what my goals are for November....
Click HERE if you missed that post!!
Thanks to Angie, over at God's Growing Garden, for choosing my blog post, Purple Christmas Bathroom and a Huge Haul, as one of her features from last week's Tuesdays with a Twist Link Party!!
Thanks so much, Angie!!
Please stop by and link up to this lovely party!!
And now for a few Personal Notes...
For the New Year, I am trying something different with my 3 times weekly posts....
On THURSDAYS,
I will feature what I cooked and ate during the week, showcasing local
cuisine and a few recipes for things that I actually made...
I decided that on SATURDAYS, I will showcase What I Have Been Up To in the past week, sharing events and places I went to, if any....
It is THURSDAY so I am sharing my last haul from the Amish Farmer for the Season....
Boston creme and Oreo peanut butter cookie donuts ....
He will not be back until next April.....
This is my first official post here on my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas, for the 2026 Holiday Season.....
I will now be posting here until the New Year....
I know there are still many people out there who get enraged when people decorate for Christmas before Thanksgiving ......
BUT......
EXACTLY!!
I have hosted our Thanksgiving Day Dinner for almost 40 years now & it makes no difference to my family that my house is decorated for Christmas during that dinner.....
We are still THANKFUL for all our blessings....
And that dinner ushers i the Christmas Season for us...
When it takes you close to 30 DAYS to decorate for Christmas, it is impossible to wait until after Thanksgiving to do so...
DO THE MATH!
I started decorating the upstairs in October and the rest of the house right after Halloween when I was working full time night shift, selling crafts at 2-3 craft fairs for the holidays and helping run the one Craft Fair at my church...
Then it became all about enjoying the Christmas Season rather than just rushing through it to get everything done...
I was happier and less stressed out for Christmas....
And the way I look at it, Thanksgiving Day is already over with in Canada as theirs is in October, which I think it actually should be because that is technically when the Harvest is over with and not at the end of November like we celebrate it...
So let me give you an update on how many days I have already spent decorating for Christmas.....
My Bedroom......1 Day
Upstairs Bathroom....1 Day
Hallway......1 Day
Craft Room.....1 Day
Sitting Room.....5 days...it would have been only 4 but there were 2 half days because of commitments I had...
Den.....4 Days
Front Porch and Yard.....3 Days
Total to date.....16 Days
I am a little less than half way through so I could never ever wait until after Thanksgiving!!
This is from Dollar Tree.....
Loved these plates and napkins at $1.50 each....
These will be for Winter...
I give mostly all money for Christmas so I did need more of these.....
And one can always use some small flocked bottle brush trees....
I could not resist these dishes, which went viral last year and were nowhere to be found.....
They can be used as a back drop in a hutch for Christmas or for Winter.....
I only bought 2 and then when I went back a week later, I thought I better pick up 2 more dinner plates.....
They were gone!
Until I happened to see 2 green rims at the bottom of a huge stack of other Christmas dinner plates with red rims!!
Pay Dirt!
I found 2 more!!
The girl that checked me out said they were literally flying off the shelves...
Not sure when and how I will use these yet...
This rug called my name for only $5.....
I did not buy these but I took pictures of these for crafting inspiration.....
These were bought on another trip to Dollar Tree.....
These were $1.75...
And they are bringing back some $1 items....
These are metal....
I did order one more punk lighted mercury glass tree from J.C. Penney's and will probably use them in my Dining Room....
I ordered these online from Walmart......
3 of these cheap basic evergreen garland......
Now $3.97 when they used to be only $1.97 2-3 years ago....
I wanted them to add to my existing garland around my front door, which I now keep up year round, using it as a base for other seasonal garlands.....
In the Spring/Summer, I added a Eucalyptus garland to it.....
And for Fall.....
Leaving the evergreen garland up year round around the door and also on the railing saves me so much time when decorating for Christmas....
On Monday, I did pack up all my Fall and Halloween front porch and yard decor and added this garland to the back of the garland around the door.....
On the right side is the new garland added to make it look fuller.....
And on the left is how the garland looked when I removed the Fall leaf garland....
Right side is much fuller.....
Left side without the added garland....
Next I added 2 sets of new lights that I bought at Dollar General for $5 each as the ones I had on the garland for the last 10+ years had finally died.....
Those are new red bells bought at Dollar General for $6 at the top.....
I also ordered these Mr. Christmas tree ornaments for $5.96 from Walmart...

Preparing for Christmas....
I used to have a Christmas Club when I was working......
I not only used that money for Christmas but I had contributed enough into the club , that it also paid my taxes...
I restarted a Christmas Club when my twin granddaughters were born and slowly over the last few years, I have been increasing what I contribute into it so now it pays for the amount of gifts I give, the majority of Holiday food as I host my family for all Holiday dinners including Thanksgiving and also Birthday dinners as my 2 son's and twin granddaughter's Birthdays are also in December....
It also now goes to pay my municipal taxes and my yearly HOA fee ....
I received my Christmas Club October 1st and since I gift mostly money, I withdrew the money in the denominations I needed and already placed the money in the cards and bought any gift cards I gift....
I bought clothing that I gift my granddaughters for Christmas and their Birthdays ( also in December) in July and August when they were on after season clearance...
I also gave my DIl the money for toys for the twins for Christmas and their Birthdays to buy what they want for them and then give it back to me to wrap and give them at my house....
My mother and my MIL both did this with my sons....
Every year, I start buying what I need for my Christmas baking fairly early....
With the high cost of everything, I have been doing a lot of comparison shopping online and I discovered that buying these things in bulk from Sam's Club are a lot cheaper than buying them, even on sale, in the grocery store....
12 pounds of flour for $5.72
10 pounds for $6.58
Have you see the prices of chocolate morsels?? Up to $9.99 for a 12 oz. bag!!
$9.48 for 4 cans....
I use this to make fudge....
I was thrilled that my friend Betty, who I have been buying my nut roll ( an ethnic food) from for Christmas and Easter, is still making it even though she is close to 90 years old!!!
I ordered 3 rolls from her at $14 a roll, which for the size of these is very inexpensive.....
I also stock up on this banana nut bread that I buy from the Amish Farmer for $4 a loaf and freeze them.....
I can take them out when I want to use them for company....
And I also made some Zucchini bread and froze that too.....
Well, that's it for today....
