I Will Honour Christmas In My Heart

I will honour Christmas in my heart,
and try to keep it all the year.
I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future.
The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me.
I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!

More Gingerbread and Candy in the Kitchen, Christmas Home Tour, 2022

Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog!!

Every room in our townhouse has a different Christmas Theme and Color Scheme!!

I prove that you do not have to live in a large home to have several Trees, over 20, in all shapes and sizes!!

The majority of my Christmas decorations are placed in the same room every year and I know that this is not what most Decorator's care for but to me, it like seeing old friends again when I decorate each year for Christmas as many of my decorations were gifts from family and friends...........

I do try to add a few new things and change up things a bit but for the most part, these decorations are part of my Christmas Traditions and bring back a lot of treasured memories.....

I am now posting 3 times a week !!!

I will be posting on TUESDAY, THURSDAY and SATURDAY

Today, I will be sharing the rest of my Kitchen decorated for Christmas, continuing my Christmas Home Tour!!

 Winter has finally begun!!

If you go with December 1st being the start of Meteorological Winter!!!!

Hopefully, we will get some snow soon!!!

In my last post over on my regular Blog, Debbie-Dabble Blog, I participated with 23 other Bloggers in the Winter Wonderland on a Tray Blog Tour hosted by Katherine, over at Katherine's Corner.....

Click HERE if you missed that post....

Katherine has hosted a series of Tray Tours and they are always such fun!!!

Thanks, Katherine fr doing so and including me!

 Thanks so much, Bev!

And I also want to Thank Linda, over at Crafts a la Mode, for also choosing my post, More Christmas Buys, Craft and Projects,as one of her features from last week's Thursday Favorite Things link Party!!

 Thanks again, Linda!!

And now for a few Personal Notes...

 Food of the Week

This week's Reheat and Eat Dinners from the WB Scranton Pens Food Service.....

Joey and I had the Beef Lasagna from this week's choices...

Mr. Picky Joe passed....

We have had the grand pups all week as Jim and Danielle are celebrating their 4th anniversary in NYC....

Of course, I have to share pics of these Sweeties!!!

So darn cute!!

I am happy to reveal that I kept on Track for November, even with Thanksgiving, and kept to my Goal of losing 5 pounds a month!!!

I am now down 36 pounds since June 1st....

Yes, these jeans are getting baggy!!

I have a pair of black jeans that are my Goal piece of clothing which means that I hope to be able to fit into them.....

I can now zip them up but I still can not sit down in them......

BUT I will!!!

This is me telling Joe to hurry up and take the darn picture!!!

My Goal for December is to hold steady and NOT gain any weight over the Holidays....

I usually can count on gaining 10 pounds....

So if I hold at the same weight in a month from now, I will be thrilled!!!!

This will be the 3rd post I am doing on my Kitchen as I seemed to make quite a few changes this year....

First, I shared my new Beverage Bar and Gingerbread Village....

And I also shared how I changed around the Hutch and decorated the Tree....

Click HERE and HERE if you missed those posts!!

So this is where we left off.....

Above the door way into the Den....

 By the stove....

I just bought this at Dollar Tree....

In addition to the floral arrangement in the grater, I hung a gingerbread ornament and a towel from it.....

On the side of the stove...

I also recently bought this in Dollar Tree....

For when we have the grand pups...

Hanging on the soffit above the stove....

 Gingerbread ornaments....

On the countertop between the stove and the sink.....

I put my Kitchen utensils in a cookie jar bought at Target many years ago....

Before I go any further, I saw a great idea posted by Debbee over on  Debbee's Buzz !!

She hung large cookie cutters on her Kitchen cupboard doors and since I already have hung a wreath on one door for a few years now, I decided to do the same thing with 2 large red cookie cutters that I have.....

A Gingerbread man on this door.....

Hung by attached a command hook upside down on the back of the cupboard door!!

And a Christmas tree over on this door!!

I just bought these ribbons today in Dollar General and I used the red and white one to hang these....

I can now hang different things for different Holidays and Seasons on these 2 doors....

I have 2 more of these red cookie cutters as they were a set of 4.....

A snowman and a snowflake which will be perfect for winter decorations!!!

This is where my Kitchen window used to be before I had my Dad make our patio into our den, creating another room in the house....

I still treat it as if it is still a window....

I made a new swag last year...

The tea cup chandy I made......

I added a gingerbread man ornament to it after I took all the other pictures....

This year, I added a few new things to the side of the Kitchen cupboards....

For years, I hung these handmade pot holders that I bought at yard sale here....

This year, I flipped them around to the solid sides and hung a Gingerbread man ornament in the center of them.....

On the other side....

 What a difference????

I bought 2 new signs from Dollar General for this area,....

I may "Dabble" a bit with the new signs but have not had the time to do so yet....

I also bought 2 more signs for the window sill.....

These were also bought at Dollar General....

I placed a tree from Ocean State Job Lot inside the gingerbread mugs that my son Jim and his wife Danielle gifted me last year....

This Tree is a vintage Tree that I found in my neighbor Elly's attic when we cleaned out her home for her sons when she passed away....

I placed it in a vintage white enamelware pot and decorated it with mini candy, cookie and Kitchen utensil ornaments.......

It is lit by a set of battery operated lights....

The other gingerbread mug...

Christmas soaps......Spearmint homemade soap on the left and Santa soap on the right....

And a green depression glass bowl that holds sponges....

Above the door way into the Dining Room.....

The Counter Bar....

I also changed a few things around here this year.....

I treat the pass through into the Dining Room as another window....

I loved this sign from Dollar Tree....

I have been adding more green in the Kitchen this year for Christmas so i thought it was perfect to hang it in front of my Galley sign.....

And I think it goes well with all my candy ornaments that I hang on the garland.....

I then hung a large candy cane and peppermint patty ornament above the counter bar....

I bought this new runner in Dollar General and cut it to fit the counter bar.....

Sticking with the red and white candy theme....

I hung red and white handmade pot holders from the shutters....

I placed red and white trees on the mercury glass candles holders .....

In the center on top of another candle holder, I placed a snowman tree pot on a white dish.....

Same on the other side....

I also placed red and white  candles on top of the vintage mason jars that stay here year round....

On each side....

Peppermint patties, which by the way helps with GI issues, are on the counter bar for the taking in a vintage green depression glass bowl....

And packets of ketchup from Fast Food places in a green depression glass dessert dish.....

I just picked this up in Dollar Tree today!!

Cough drops for Joe in another green depression glass dish.....

And also granola bars that we snack on ( only 90 calories each) in one more green depression glass bowl!!

I made the cafe curtain from a vintage piece of fabric along with 2 valances....

This basket, which was given to me by Trish, who owns the house next door to me, is Joe's goodie basket....

Yes, I do resist all of the goodies that Joe buys to tempt me!!

On the side of the counter bar.......

This year, I ran off this cute graphic and taped it to this vintage chalkboard along with the addition of hanging these 2 ornaments....

I bought the sign in Gabes and it will stay there all Winter.....

I won this cute gingerbread man stocking in a blog giveaway many years ago!!!

And I hung what is actually the lid of a Christmas tin!!

One of the valances I made hangs in this door way into the Kitchen......

I also bought this today at Dollar General...

For now, this is where I put it!!

I had a LOT of fun decorating the Kitchen this year with quite a few new and different things in the Candy and Gingerbread theme!!!

The Kitchen is one of my favorite rooms and not because I like to cook or bake, that is for sure!!

It took me 4 Days to decorate the Kitchen because of the changes that I made this year....

  1. Your kitchen is so adorable! The new signs are great! I have figured out that living in a small town, our dollar stores, and probably Big Lots too, have a smaller stock and probably don't have all the items that a bigger store might get. I will be keeping my eyes open though. You find the best stuff!!!

  4. Bright cheery kitchen. My niece loves red in her kitchen. Mom always had red, I think I need to put some in mine. The dollar stores here I think are somewhat over priced. Not good deals to be had. I love gingerbread decor and now I need to get some molasses to make some. Your orders out look delish. We have been doing a lot of it lately.

  5. Awwww Deb! You just have the coziest kitchen ever! I love the counter bar and your teacup chandy is over the top adorable. I hope you don't mind but I'll be visiting all morning! Your kitchen is like the movie that you watch over and over again and still see something you missed. How fun to have the grandpups visit! They are so darn cute. You look amazing too. I've been trying to lose a bit too but I'm nowhere near your success. Congrats! I don't know when I'll be by again as we are still working on Cooper's recovery. He is using both legs now so we are hoping he'll make a full recovery. So, if I don't get by before Christmas, I wish you all a beautiful holiday season!

  6. Your Christmas-y kitchen is delightful! I like the red-and-white theme because it reminds me of peppermints and candy canes. Thank you for sharing this post in the Talent-Sharing Tuesdays Link-Up 44.
