I Will Honour Christmas In My Heart

I will honour Christmas in my heart,
and try to keep it all the year.
I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future.
The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me.
I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!

Christmas in the Master Bedroom & a "New" Tree, Christmas Home Tour, 2022

Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog!!

Every room in our townhouse has a different Christmas Theme and Color Scheme!!

I prove that you do not have to live in a large home to have several Trees, over 20, in all shapes and sizes!!

The majority of my Christmas decorations are placed in the same room every year and I know that this is not what most Decorator's care for but to me, it like seeing old friends again when I decorate each year for Christmas as many of my decorations were gifts from family and friends...........

I do try to add a few new things and change up things a bit but for the most part, these decorations are part of my Christmas Traditions and bring back a lot of treasured memories.....

I am now posting 3 times a week !!!

I will be posting on TUESDAY, THURSDAY and SATURDAY

Today, I am starting off the Holiday Season here on my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas, and will be posting here for the remainder of the Year.....

I will be providing links to each Christmas post over on my regular Blog, Debbie-Dabble Blog...

I will be sharing a "new" Tree decorated in our Bedroom and Joe's Pittsburgh Corner...

In my last post, I shared "How I Lost 31 Pounds on my Journey To a Healthier Life!!" over on my regular Blog, Debbie-Dabble Blog....

Click HERE if you missed that post!!

I want to thank those who commented on the Blog, emailed me and have been following my Journey on Face book for all your words of Encouragement!!

It means a lot to me and has really helped me to continue along the way!!!

And now for a few Personal Notes...

 Food of the Week

This week's Reheat and Eat Dinners from the WB Scranton Pens Food Service.....

Grilled Chicken & Shrimp Cajun Alfredo Pasta with Roasted Peppers for Joey but I took his shrimp as he does not like shrimp....

Seared Sea Scallop with Creamy Risotto & Roasted Seasonal Vegetables for both Joe and I.....

All so good....

In my last Rudolph Day post for October, I shared some Christmas Crafts, New Buys and gave a Sneak Peek of the upstairs of our home which is already decorated for Christmas.....

Click HERE if you missed that post.....

Yes, I decorated the entire upstairs for Christmas in October and managed to also finish the Den before Halloween.....

If you are new here to my Christmas Blog, it took me 30 days last year to decorate the entire house, both inside and out

That is why I have to start in October...

My Goal is to be done by Thanksgiving Day because I like to sit back and then enjoy the Holiday Season instead of being stressed out by it.....

So today, I will be starting my Christmas Home Tour, 2022

I am going to be sharing the Master Bedroom ....

Decorating for the Christmas/Winter Season in our bedroom started when we finally took the air conditioner out of the window and packed it away....

I then was able to clean the windows, both inside and out....

I hung the lace curtains that I use in the Fall/Winter.....

 On both windows....

I also put my candle lights in the windows that I use during the Fall/Winter Seasons.....

They come on by Timer for 8 hours.....

This is how they look from the outside when on.....

I  don't decorate the bedroom with Christmas linens and comforters like others do.....

My decorations in our bedroom mainly consist of 2 Trees that reflect both mine and Joe's interests and passions....

I have wreaths that I made hanging on every door in the house......

This one hangs on the door of our Bedroom....

The color of the wreath goes with the colors of my Bedroom.....

A gold velvet stocking hangs from the wreath....

I have used this Tree in our bedroom for my "Victorian Lady" Tree for many years.....

It fit perfectly on the small table that I rescued from the side of our dumpster and painted....

Last year, Joe bought this beauty of a flocked Tree on Clearance in Big Lots for a mere $8.97, originally $115!!.....

That meant that I had to find another place for this 4 1/2 foot white Tree that I bought 3 years ago for the Sitting Room.....

I made the decision to move it into our bedroom and use it for my "Victorian Lady" Tree.....

Now this meant that I had to move tables around as the stand was too large for the table I usually have in the corner.....

So I switched out this table with the other blue paint table and vice versa....

It worked out perfectly.....

The Tree fit on the table and it looked good in the corner.....

I did take apart the old bow I used as a topper and added blue ribbon to the original ribbon.....

These are not Christmas ribbons and the blue provided the pop pf color that I wanted.....

I did not have enough of this ribbon in my stash though to make streamers so I just have the pink ribbon streamers......

There is white beaded garland on the Tree....

I call this my "Victorian Lady" Tree because it is decorated with Victorian style ornaments that are purses......

Shoes......

A dress....

Hats....

Parasols.....

Dress forms.....

Hand mirrors.....

Gloves....

I tucked frosted pink flowers into the Tree.....

3 Victorian Lady Tassel ornaments hang around the bottom of the Tree....

On the table, I stayed with the theme of the Tree... ....

A Victorian style box and a vintage cologne bottle....

The "shoe" perfume bottle was gifted to me by Joe many years ago and a "glove" ornament ....

The vintage purse was my neighbor Elly's, a vintage hanky and the pins are fairly new.....

I used to buy all the doll head ornaments at Michael's until they stopped carrying them....

I glued this one to the top of a box...

And added some pearls....

I am really pleased with how this Tree turned out decorated with my "Victorian Lady" ornaments...

To the left side of the Tree, there is a space between it and Joe's dresser......

And here is a "Victorian Lady"......

Joe gifted me this beauty a long time ago...

She is set on a Coutre' hat box with a vintage purse and gloves displayed on it...

To her side is a parasol.....

I bought it on Ebay many years ago....

To the right of the Tree is my Mother's vintage Lane hope chest which is lined with cedar.....

I store linen, blankets, tablecloths, etc. in it.....

I carried the Victorian theme over to the display on top of it....

I usually have a silver tea set displayed on top of the hope chest but I had to change things around because of using a different table to put the white Tree on.....

On the left side....

A tiered tray that I bought a very long time ago in Target!

I covered a jewelry form that I bought at Micheal's with music sheet paper and embellished it....

Vintage perfume bottles and a picture of my maternal grandparents sitting on the back bumper of their car most likely in the 1930's......

The Angel was a gift from a friend of mine that passed away.....

Containers from vintage dresser sets....

I bought this pitcher at Salvation Army for $5...

 More doll head ornaments....

A tea and toast set and vintage gloves that I embellished....

 This is Rose....

I decoupaged music sheet paper on her along with adding other embellishments......

She is adorned with peacock feathers, vintage pearls, gloves and a scarf....

I gifted my Mother this now vintage Avon perfume decanter in the shape of a rose one Mother's Day several decades ago.....

So that is my area decorated for Christmas in the bedroom which reflects my passion for the Victorian Era....

This is top of the TV Entertainment Center as it normally looks.......

Definitely done in my style....

But over on the other side of the room is Joe's Pittsburgh corner that I made for him in the alcove in our bedroom....

Joe is an avid Pittsburgh Steeler's and Penguins fan.....

We are also Season Ticket Holders for the Wilkes Barre Scranton Penguins, the AHL team of the Pittsburgh Pens, who play at the Arena 5 minutes from our house....

Joe is also employed part time by the Wilkes Barre Scranton Pens at the Toyoto Sportsplex which has a Hockey rink and now just added a deck Hockey area....

We bought this Pittsburgh Pens Tree at a craft Co Op....

I decorated the top of Joe's roll top desk for Christmas......

Pittsburgh Steeler and Pens Christmas ornaments along with penguins and a hockey playing snow man....

I decorate a small Victorian feather style Tree for Joe...

With Penguins and Steeler's ornaments....

It is lit with a set of battery operated fairy lights....

A Penguin's Santa Hat that Joe wore when delivering the Mail during the Christmas Seasons before he retired.....

Joe's Penguin's lamp was the first stained glass lamp I ever bought!!!

The other lamp on the right was my neighbor Elly's and was the perfect colors for Joe's corner.....

This is what Joe's corner looks like normally....

He does have other Sports displays in our bedroom as the gold painted walls works out really well with his favorite team's colors......

A merging of both my style and his Sport's interests by his dresser....

I hope you enjoyed seeing how I decorated Trees for Christmas to reflect both mine and Joe's passions and interests....

And how I used another Tree as my "Victorian Lady" Tree this year....

Now I have a spare Tree.....

Hmmmm...

What will I do with an extra Tree...

I still have not decoded....

It took me 2 Days to decorate our Bedroom.....

Tree Count which includes all Trees I had to decorate or light no matter the size....

Tree # 1

Tree # 2

  1. WOW!! I have loved seeing all your vintage things that you use to decorate with, Debbie! I remember seeing so many of those things in my Grandmother's home when I was a little girl. Definitely takes ya back to a different time. I love the tree in your bedroom! Wish my bedroom was big enough to do that. I usually just sit a ceramic tree on my nightstand. As I was reading your blog I seen you mentioned you live close to Wilkes Barre. I have an aunt who lives there! And all the Steelers stuff...WOW! I have many friends that are Steelers fans. We are Baltimore Ravens fans which I know always brings on a good sports talk! LOL Keep sharing all your lovely Christmas decorations...I love seeing it!

  3. There's something about the white trees I especially like -- so fresh and wintry. I'll start right after Thanksgiving, though once my guest leaves next week will start bringing things up to the guest room where they are easy to get at. It's such a fun time of year!

  4. I updated by Christmas tree star and skirt last year but do not add more from year to year: as my taste changes, I have donated some things but mostly I just love our sentimental ornaments and that is how I decorate our main tree. The boys each have trees in their rooms and this year my mom gave me her ornaments which I will use on my bedroom tree I think,
