I Will Honour Christmas In My Heart

I will honour Christmas in my heart,
and try to keep it all the year.
I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future.
The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me.
I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!

Christmas Tour of the Master Bedroom, 2019

Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!
I am so happy that you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog....

We had our first inch of Snow this morning!!

I always love how the first snow of the Season looks....
 So pretty!!

I love the way the snow looks on the greenery that I put in the urns and planters that Joe went out into the woods by our house to cut off trees.....
And I still love my chippy angel that I bought so many years ago in Target.....
Today, I am continuing my Christmas Home Tour and we will be taking a look at the Master Bedroom.....

I don't do much decorating for Christmas in this room except for 2 Trees.....

One for me and one for Joe!!

But first, let take a look at the wreath on the door.....
I hang wreaths that I have made on all the doors to each of the rooms in our house.....
Each wreath matches the color of that particular room......

The deep rose color of this wreath matches the color of the flowers on the drapes in this room.....
I also hung a gold stocking that I embellished under the wreath.....
We will start in this corner of the bedroom with what I call my Victorian Lady Tree.....
 This is my Tree.....
I use one of a set of outdoor pathway trees in an urn that I spray painted gold.....
I call it my Victorian Lady Tree because it is decorated with hats, gloves, shoes, purses, dress forms, vanities and any other ornaments that a Victorian Lady would have in her possession......
Most of the ornaments on this Tree were bought over the years at Michael's.....
I topped the Tree with a bunch of peacock feathers just like an elegant Victorian hat with feathers on it......
I also used a bow that I made out of shiny pink ribbon on top.......
I am going to let the pictures do the talking.....
On the table that the Tree stands on.....
 2 pretty shoe ornaments......
Another stocking hangs from the knob on the table......

I also want to share the top of my Mother's Cedar hope chest which I plan on painting blue like the table that the Tree is on.....
Sticking to my Victorian roots, I have displayed 2 mannequins, a silver tea set and perfume bottles on top of it......
Again, I am letting the pictures do the talking....
Before I get to Joe's corner of the room, I have to share our antique bed with you....
This bed, which was Joe's great Grandfather's bed is set in a corner of the room which provides me with storage behind it.....
Joe is a huge Pittsburgh Penguins fan and we are Season Ticket Holders to the Wilkes Barre Scranton Penguins team, the AHL team of the Pittsburgh Pens......
Even though the teams colors are black, white and gold, the original colors were blue and white......

Paying homage to Joe's passion, I placed a Penguins throw on the bed in the original colors of blue and white.....

And now on to Joe's Pittsburgh corner.......
This is what the top of this desk looks like before it was decorated for Christmas.....
Every year, I decorate a small Tree for Joe......
Over by the window is a Pittsburgh tree that we bought at a Craft Co Op.......
This is Joe's special chair that I made for him......
He hangs his Santa Pens hat on it!!
Joe was thrilled when I decided to paint the walls of the bedroom gold......
Let's take a look at his desk and Tree........
I am going to let the pictures do the talking......
The Tree is decorated with both Pittsburgh Penguins and Steelers ornaments......

Joe was happy about how his corner looks all decked out for Christmas!!!!
So that is how I decorated our bedroom for Christmas .......

And 2 more decorated Trees......

It usually takes me 2 days to clean and decorate the Master Bedroom...

In my next post, I will be sharing the upstairs Bathroom decorated for Christmas......
So I hope you will stop by to visit again soon!!

  1. The snow is so pretty and makes the greenery look like a Christmas card!
(Brrr..temp dropped to 30° down here last night!)
It is so sweet that you and Joe have your own decorated areas with trees in the bedroom.

  6. Debbie: You are so far ahead of me in decorating for Christmas. Everything just sparkles, even Joe! The snowfall is gorgeous. I just love the first one. I'm still getting ready for Thanksgiving but can't wait to start Christmas. Thanks for my birthday visit and all your kind words. I really appreciate it and I heard Whoopi Goldberg say the other day that we should celebrate every birthday no matter what the number as a lot of folks never get that far. She is right and I am..Happy Weekend..xxoJudy
