UPDATE:
I am linking up to this weekly party celebrating Christmas in July!!!!!
Christmas in July Blog Hop Every Wednesday in July!!
This is how they looked as part of my Fall decorations in the Living Room.....
I wanted to dress them up a bit more for Christmas so I went to Dollar Tree......
Okay, please forgive the tablecloth with watermelons on it......
I used it to protect the ottoman from glitter while I played and I should have realized how funny it would look when I took the pictures.......
I had 2 rolls of ribbon which said "Merry" and "Greetings".
I combined them together when making 2 bows, one for each lantern.......
I bought this piece of greenery that has a clip to fasten it on to whatever you want and I also bought one pack of these gold pine cone ornaments......
I added a bow, the greenery and one pine cone to each lantern......
I then placed a few small ornaments inside the lanterns.......
And here they are on the steps.....
I have used these Candles in the lanterns......
You can read about them HERE
I have them set on red and green......
You can see the colors better in these photos........
They look great lit at night in red and green........
How it looks as you walk down the stairs.......
A Scrapbook of Christmas Firsts!!!
I want to Thank Terra, over at Terra Garden, for being so kind as to send me a copy of a wonderful Christmas book, A Scrapbook of Christmas Firsts, that she co- authored!!
I LOVE Christmas books and this one does not disappoint!!
It is filled with wonderful stories........
Recipes and Crafts.......
Poetry........
Tips on simplifying your Christmas and on creating Traditions for your Family........
I look forward to relaxing this Christmas season, with the house all decorated, sipping on a cup of tea and enjoying this wonderful heartwarming book!!

Thanks so much , Terra!!
Here are more Sneak Peaks......
As you can see, I have started the Kitchen and yesterday, we finished the outside of the house so I can light it up on Thanksgiving Day night , which is our tradition!!
I just have the Powder Room and the Den left to decorate!!
In my next post, here on my Christmas Blog, I will be starting to share all my Christmas decorations......
On Debbie-Dabble, I posted a Mini Christmas Home Tour of the Downstairs and Upstairs.

Oh Debbie the lanterns look great. Don't you just love the flameless candles. I am always afraid that I will fall asleep and forget to put the candle out. So mine are just for show.
ReplyDeleteEverything's coming along great at your house.
I am decorating and I am almost finished with the inside and still thinking about how I will decorate the front porch.
Looking forward to seeing your home all decked
out.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Hugs,
Mary
It looks like you are well on your way to a bright and cheery Christmas Season! Enjoy your decorating time. Blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteDebbie, thank you for your sweet words about my book in this post; I hope our book will bless many families. Terra Hangen co-author of "Scrapbook of Christmas Firsts: Stories to Warm Your Heart and Tips to Simplify Your Holiday."
ReplyDeleteLove your laterns. I want some. I'd love to do more on our stairs.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to more of your pics. I'm hoping to get the lights on the balcony done this week so we can turn on Thanksgiving evening too.
Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful home.
Have a good Friday.

Love those pretty candles! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Lynn
ReplyDeleteBeautiful peeks into your decorating, great deal on the lanterns and I love the big bow, that is neat that the decorations have clips on them, and the ornaments are such a cute idea around the candle. I saw these candles in Michaels the other day and was wondering how they look lit up, they are pretty!
ReplyDeleteI love how the lanterns look! I like that you can change them up with the seasons - less to store. Everything is looks fabulous! On my way over to check out Terra's book.
ReplyDeleteI love lanterns in general, but yours are special! They are perfect for Christmas! Your home is like a fairy book!
ReplyDeleteHugs
Alessandra
