I Will Honour Christmas In My Heart

I will honour Christmas in my heart,
and try to keep it all the year.
I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future.
The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me.
I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!

Gingerbread Land, Beverage Bar and More Christmas in the Kitchen, Christmas Home Tour, 2020

Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog!!

I want to mention that since Blogger changed to a new format for posting, if you can click on each picture if you care to enlarge it......

Every room in our townhouse has a different Christmas Theme and Color Scheme!!

I prove that you do not have to live in a large home to have several Trees, over 20, in all shapes and sizes!!

The majority of my Christmas decorations are placed in the same room every year and I know that this is not what most Decorator's care for but to me, it like seeing old friends again when I decorate each year for Christmas as many of my decorations were gifts from family and friends...........

I do try to add a few new things and change up things a bit but for the most part, these decorations are part of my Christmas Traditions and bring back a lot of treasured memories.....

Today, I will be sharing the rest of my Sweet treat Christmas Kitchen!!

I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving!!

I know for many it was a very different Thanksgiving....

We have been very lucky that this pandemic has not changed any of our Holiday traditions as we celebrate with just our immediate family who lives down the road from us.....

I made my Dad's recipe for Sausage Filling on Wednesday afternoon.....

I make this when we have turkey so that is on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and Easter.....

I also set a simple table the night before and put all the serving pieces in the center of the table until there was room to move them in to the Kitchen!!!

We got an 18 pound turkey at the insistence of my son, Joey.....

Never again!!!!

It was just too big and a hassle for us to handle.....

For years, I got a larger turkey breast until 3 years ago when Joey won a whole turkey.....

Since then, he talked me into doing a whole turkey for Thanksgiving.....

You can tell by the look on Joe's face that he is a bit perplexed as to where to start to carve!!!

It was good and it all worked out but next year, Joey was informed that I am going back to a larger turkey breast for Thanksgiving!!

We had the pleasure this year of having the newest member of our family come to our home this Holiday!!!

Our son Jim and our DIL Danielle coming in with their new puppy, Faye!!!!

She is a 4 month old Yorkie that weighs 5 pounds!!!

They brought one of her play pens!!

Joe lost his puppy privileges after he kept petting and playing with her while we were eating!!

After I yelled at him to stop, Little Faye fell asleep , curled up in a ball!!

"Uncle" Joey is totally enthralled with her!!

Love this picture of my boys!!

 Giving kisses!!

You can tell that she has Joe wrapped around her little paw!!!

We go several mornings a week to leave her out when Jim and Danielle are at work as they leave at 3 am.....

I finished decorating our entire house before Thanksgiving so I had to decorate our car a bit too!!!

For years, I have seen cars with antlers on them and when I saw the set for only $2,99 in Gabes, I thought it would be nice , especially this year, to spread a bit of Christmas cheer and maybe make some one smile!!

And Joe bought himself a pair of Christmas slippers so of course, I had to get a pair too!!!

Mine have jingle bells on them so I "jingle" when I walk!!!

 Yes, they say "Get Lit"!!!!

 LOL!!

I want to wish our son, Jim , and his wife, Danielle, a very Happy 2nd Wedding Anniversary today on the 28th!!

2 years married but a total of 12 years together!!

Today, I will be showing you the rest of my Kitchen decorated in a Candy and Gingerbread theme....

In my last post, I shared my Sweet Treat Christmas Tree and Hutch in the Kitchen.....

Click HERE if you missed that post....

We will start here where I left off at the stove....

On the side of the stove.....

You may remember that I re-did the sign in the corner hanging on the soffit.....

It originally looked like this......

I "dabbled" with it a bit.....

You can read about it HERE if you like......

Underneath it, I hung this lid from a cookie tin.....

On the side of the stove.....

I won this cute gingerbread stocking in a Blog Giveaway....

I added some Christmas florals to my vintage rolling pins in my parent's Planter's Peanuts canister.....

Hanging on the side of the stove are some Christmas towels.....

Above the stove......

Bought this sign last year in Gabes......

Hanging above the stove on the tile......

I thought it was only fitting to move the "Fresh Daily" enamelware sign here above the stove....

Christmas Kitchen towels hanging on the oven door.....

This is where the Kitchen window was before we took it out when we converted the back patio into the Den.....

I bought the swag in T.J. Maxx's a few years ago and have embellished it with candy canes and peppermint patty ornaments.....

I made the valance last year from vintage fabric.....

I hung candy cane and lollipop ornaments......

I hung a "Sweet" sign and a bow made from candy cane ribbon above the chandy......

I placed candy canes in the cup chandy that I made and hung ribbon candy ornaments and peppermint candy ornaments from the arms of the chandy......

On what used to be the sill of the window.....

On the left side.....

 Santa Salt and pepper shakers......

 Red and white trees......

In the center is my other Kitchen Tree......

It is a vintage Tree that I found in my neighbor Elly's attic which I placed in a vintage red and white enamelware pot, also from my Elly's house....

I decorated it with candy ornaments and also a candy garland.....

I lit it with battery operated lights.....

I topped it with a vintage copper cookie cutter.....

The right side.....

You can see that my Kitchen is very small with limited counter space....

Above the cabinets......

I thought this sign from Gabes was the perfect sign to hang above my Beverage Bar.....

Hanging on one of the cabinet doors is a wreath that I just made......

If you want to see how I made it using a muffin tin from Dollar Tree, you can click HERE

 In the corner.......

I added a few candy picks and placed a few of the covers from an old peppermint candy set of lights that no longer worked over the existing light set in this wire tea cup basket......

A vintage poinsettia napkin in underneath the wire tea cup basket....

Another Candy Cafe sign hangs above the toaster......

 My Christmas Beverage Bar......

Joe had to go out and buy our 4th Brew Master after he just could not get used to having a coffee pot with a carafe!!!

Hot Cocoa Bar sign hangs above the canisters filled with coffee and sugar that I just turned around to see the solid green backs of them......

A snow man tea pot that a friend gifted me....

Our Christmas mugs....

Lenox bowls filled with coffee creamers and sweetener packs.....

A vintage Merry Christmas hot pad......

Peppermint sticks and marshmallows for Hot Chocolate, flavored tea bags, flavored coffee and Hot Cocoa mix....

A Milk for Santa candle....

Gingerbread Land on top of the refrigerator......

I placed the large gingerbread house on top of a vintage green mixing bowl.......

Candy trees.......

Peppermint candy covers from a light set that no longer works......

I glued a gingerbread ornament with a recipe on it to a red and white charger plate.....

I hung a cute gingerbread cookie ornament on the lamp shade.....

On the door of the refrigerator are felt magnets that I made as a child, tracing them from a coloring book.....

I think I was 10 years old!!!

Above the door way into the Dining Room......

The counter bar......

On the side of the counter bar......

I filled the hanging copper baskets with candy ornaments and candy canes.....

The garland above the counter bar......

Red and white candles on the red mercury glass candle sticks.....

I could not find a plaid runner I liked so I used a rag rug......

A candy cane fabric place mat made by the woman who was my Co Chairperson when I ran our church's Craft Fairs.....

I made the curtain from vintage Christmas fabric.....

On the side of the counter bar.....

I simply wrote "Sweet Treats" and hung 2 ornaments from the chalkboard as my artistic painting skills leave much to be desired.....

I hung this Victorian styled plate here.....

A vintage masher and mason jars......

You can see that the counter bar was built on the wall between the Dining Room and hall......

And that completes my tour of my Sweet Treat Christmas Kitchen!!!

My Kitchen decorated for Christmas is one of my favorite rooms of the house!!!

Next up on my Christmas Home Tour will be the Dining Room.....

  6. Aw, Debbie...totally love everything, but the little girl baking lid---so adorable, and love your signs, and the gingerbread land!!! So, adorable. Nice to see you could share your Thanksgiving. We are so tightly locked down here, we had to throw our dinners out the car windows to the kids. Still pondering what I'll do inside for Christmas with only the two of us---LOVE visiting your home, though! HUGS, Sandi (still not getting notifications) ???

  9. Your sausage stuffing sounds great. My Polish grandmother always used sausage in her stuffing; it adds a lovely flavor. I enjoyed looking at all the details of your kitchen; you did an awesome job!
