I Will Honour Christmas In My Heart

I will honour Christmas in my heart,
and try to keep it all the year.
I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future.
The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me.
I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!

Christmas in the Master Bedroom and Upstairs Bathroom , Christmas Home Tour, 2020

Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog!!

I want to mention that since Blogger changed to a new format for posting, if you can click on each picture if you care to enlarge it......

Every room in our townhouse has a different Christmas Theme and Color Scheme!!

I prove that you do not have to live in a large home to have several Trees, over 20, in all shapes and sizes!!

The majority of my Christmas decorations are placed in the same room every year and I know that this is not what most Decorator's care for but to me, it like seeing old friends again when I decorate each year for Christmas as many of my decorations were gifts from family and friends...........

I do try to add a few new things and change up things a bit but for the most part, these decorations are part of my Christmas Traditions and bring back so many treasured memories.....

Today, I will be sharing Christmas in our Master Bedroom and in the upstairs Bathroom.....

But first, I want to Thank these Hosts who were so kind to feature my post on my dear friend Anne Marie's Home decorated for Halloween......

I want to Thank, Charlene, over at A Pinch of Joy, for choosing it as one of her features from last week's Busy Monday Link Party!!!

 Thanks so much, Charlene!!

I want to Thank Marilyn, over at Marilyn's Treats, for choosing it as one of her features from last week's Over the Moon Linky Party!!!

Thanks again, Marilyn!

And Thanks to Kristie, over at Love My Little Cottage, for choosing it as one of her features from last week's Little Cottage Link Party!!!

Thanks so much, Kristie!!

Anne Marie was absolutely thrilled to have her home featured so THANK YOU from both of us!!

Please stop by and link up to these great parties!!

As I have been doing over on my regular blog, Debbie-Dabble Blog, I will continue to post my Personal Updates here....

We had Temps. in the 70's here for the past week!!!

Record breaking high's here in NEPA!!

Joe and I took advantage of that and cleaned, packed away and readied the back yard and patio for the Winter.....

Here is Joe rolling up the rug that we bought for the Patio in the Spring.....

And here is what it looked like when he moved everything off the patio to do so!!!!!

YIKES!!!!

After we moved things back and I decided how I wanted them arranged and stored, especially all my pots, we covered things up on this side of the Patio with tarps for the Winter.....

And Joe covered my Baker's Rack/Potting Stand with a tarp too..

I then cleaned and packed away what I wanted stored down the storage shed that we rent and Joe took the tubs down there.....

Here is what our yard looks like now , staying this way for the Winter.....

Joe will continue to rake up all the leaves that keep falling from the trees behind us but for the most part, the back yard and patio is Winter Ready.....

Our son, Joey, says it looks desolate.....

I did take advantage of the warm weather and packed up all my Fall/Halloween decorations on the front porch and decorated it for Christmas!!!!

Just some of the tubs and boxes that Joe brought up from our storage shed......

I got a bit crazy with a can of polyurethane and gave everything a protective coating against the elements......

And even did a little bit of spray painting!!!!

Since I passed on the tomato cage topiaries that I made for the 2 black urns in on each side of our front porch at the end of the Winter Season last year to my niece Renae, I decided to get a bit creative and created  some arrangements in my posts and urns using both natural and faux greenery......

Okay, that is enough sneak peeks of the front of our house for now......

Today, I will be sharing the Master Bedroom and the upstairs Bathroom decorated for Christmas......

I am combining both rooms in one post this year as there is really not much different in either room so this will just be a refresher post of what these rooms look like decked out for Christmas......

In the first post on my Christmas Home Tour, I shared the upstairs Hall decorated with Angels and my collection of Lusterware dishes.....

Click HERE if you missed that post.....

Continuing my Christmas Home Tour, we will start in the Master Bedroom......

I hang wreaths on all my inside doors with each wreath matching the color of the room......

Here is the wreath that I made on my bedroom door.....

Hanging beneath it is an Angel......

There are 2 decorated Trees in our Master Bedroom.......

One for me , which I call my Victorian Lady Tree......

And one for Joe which I call his Pittsburgh Sports Tree......

We will take a look at mine first......

You can see that the color scheme of our bedroom is based on the drapes.....

Rose, blue, burgundy, ivory and gold......

My Victorian Lady Tree is one of a set of Pathway Trees that I bought several years ago and you can see that it fits perfectly on this table in the corner........

I decorate this Tree with ornaments of  purses, hats, shoes, mirrors, a vanity or 2, gloves and even a dress.....

Everything that a proper Victorian Lady would have......

Since I really did not change much on this Tree from other years, we will have a quick look......

On the table that the Tree rests on.....

Next to the Tree is my Mother's Lane Cedar Hope Chest......

And I also have the top of the TV Entertainment Center in our Bedroom decorated in a Victorian Lady Theme......

Many pieces are vintage, inherited from my Mother, Joe's Grandmother and from my neighbor Elly.....

Now we will take a look at Joe's Pittsburgh Sports Tree......

This is Joe's Pittsburgh corner.......

We bought this Pittsburgh Penguins Tree at a craft Co Op......

Joe is an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins fan.......

And we are Season Ticket Holders for the AHL Wilkes Barre Scranton Penguins Hockey team that plays at the Arena 5 minutes from our house.......

Again, since not much has changed here from last year, I am going to let the pictures do the talking.....

The other side of his corner......

And the chair in front of his desk.....

Okay, now we will take a look at the upstairs Bathroom decorations.....

I also hung a wreath that I made on the door to match the color scheme of the bathroom......

I always say this is the smallest Bathroom known to man and the only place to put a Tree in here is on top of the shelf unit over the toilet!!!!

This Tree, that I bought at a church Flea Market, fits perfectly here......

I decorated it in purple and green ornaments with gold poinsettias tucked into it to match the colors fof the Bathroom....

And nothing is really different from last year......

I hung purple ornaments from the handles......

And added a few more Christmas touches here and there.....

I hope you enjoyed seeing a few Christmas decorations in our Bedroom and Upstairs Bathroom, showing you can have a little Christmas cheer in every room, no matter how small they are......

In my next post, I will be sharing my Craft Room decorated for Christmas......

So I hope you will stop by to visit again soon!!

Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!

  2. I think you and my next door neighbor have the tarp gene! Her beautiful garden is all covered up too. But yours is getting ready for the big show and can't wait to see it!

  3. My goodness what a feast for the eyes, so much to look at and admire. You are a talented lady and must have the patience of a saint to decorate so beautifully for each season. Stunning.

  4. I was curious to see how you decorate a bedroom for Christmas because I never have ever decorated my bedroom. After seeing yours I might have to. I do decorate the bathroom but it doesn't look anything near as beautiful as yours. I love the colors you used. I will be back to see how you decorated your craft room!

  5. I feel the same way, I have the same decorations year after year, many things go in the same place and other things change around a little bit but there are so many memories in all of them that we have collected over our marriage,so it is a miss match but we love it that way. Wow you had quite the job ahead of you in your backyard, we only had a few things we had to pack away in our shed for the winter.

  8. I've never seen so much thought and such charming decorations for Christmas ! Truly, yours is The Christmas House !! Lovin' it. Every room has a small or big Christmas tree dedicated to it - in a different theme. Fantastic.
