I Will Honour Christmas In My Heart

I will honour Christmas in my heart,
and try to keep it all the year.
I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future.
The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me.
I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!

Crafting Year Round Ornaments, October Rudolph Day!!!

Happy Rudolph Day!!!
Rudolph Day is considered by some as the 25th of each month!!
This year has been a busy year and I did not live up to my promise to post something Christmas related on the 25th of each month, Rudolph Day......
 For that I sincerely apologize.....

Soon I will begin my Christmas posts here on my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas, for this Holiday Season..........

You can check out all my Fall and Halloween posts over on my regular Blog , Debbie-Dabble Blog, if you like.....

Today, I wanted to share some of the projects I did over the Summer involving ornaments that can be used year round or for Christmas!!!

For the Patriotic Holidays of the Summer, I decided to embellished some ornaments to use on my Patriotic Summer Tree.......
I started off with some paper mache stars that I first painted......
Then decoupaged some flags on to them.......
And then embellished with stars , beads and  tinsel trim to give them a bit of a nostalgic look.......
I also just painted some stars and added the trim and beads to these......
I made coasters that we received in the mail for contributing to a Veteran's Organization into ornaments too!!
The "before" is on the right with the "after" on the left!!
I took plain red and silver ball ornaments and embellished them with a felt star trim to them......
These paper mache stars had vintage style tags glued onto them along with beads and trim.....
And I embellished these silver balls with red and blue star stickers!!
These ornaments can be also used for Christmas to decorate a Patriotic Christmas Tree.....
This is how my Patriotic Summer Tree looked......
By adding a few Christmas Patriotic Decorations, you can have a Patriotic Christmas Tree.....
In August, I decided to change my Patriotic Tree into an "Under the Sea" Tree......

My dear neighbor Elly, had amassed a huge collection of shells when she lived in Miami but since she is now in a Nursing Home with Alzhiemer's, her sons were going to throw them away!!

I said "O No!" and took all her shells........

I decided to create my own shell ornaments and got a few ideas from Pinterest and other sites......

I simply glued ribbon onto the shells to form a hanger.......
And glued smaller shells to larger shells......
Added rhinestone trim......
And beads......
And some bows made from ribbon......
And pieces of old costume jewelry......
To larger shells , I glued plastic tuffs of grass on them to mimic sea weed.......
When I took down the Tree, I added an aqua gem like trim that I found in Michael's to the ornaments that I made........
I also made some sand dollars that I had in my stash into ornaments.......
I also painted some shells and embellished them with rhinestone trim......
I also embellished star fish with trim and parts of costume earrings.....
When I was looking at Christmas items online, I chuckled when I saw this ornament on the Pier One web site......
They sell for $5.95 each........

I also ordered wooden anchor and sea horse cut outs on Amazon......

I painted them aqua and embellished them with shells ........
And embellished them with shells, costume earrings and trims......
I also found this ornament on the Pier One web site.....
It sells for $6.95......

I found these ornaments on Pinterest.......
I already had these ornaments so I decided to try to make my own.......
This is what I came up with......
I also filled these glass ornaments with small shells......
I made all the ornaments to decorate my "Under the Sea" Tree......
Christmas Trees decorated in a Coastal theme have been popular for the past few years.......
These ornaments can easily be used to decorate a Christmas Tree with a Beach, Coastal or Sea theme.......

Last year, after Christmas, I bought these ornaments on Clearance.......
I added a few glittered acorns to them......
I added these ornaments to my decorations for my Autumn Elegance Tree......
This past year, I also decorated a LED branch Tree that Joe bought on Clearance at Bed, Bath and Beyond..........

I decorated it for Easter with egg ornaments.......

For the Patriotic Summer Holidays with red, blue and silver balls......
And later on in the Summer with some aqua butter fly, bird and dragonfly ornaments.....
Also after Christmas, I bought these leaf ornaments........
The backs were not finished so I finished them off myself........
I then decorated the branch Tree with these leaves and brown and copper ball ornaments for Fall......
Now is the time to start looking for ornaments that can be used year round to decorate a Tree for other Holidays and Seasons...

Or be inspired to make some ornaments on your own by what you see online or in the stores......

Watch for after Christmas deals.......

I hope you enjoyed this month's Rudolph Day post......

Soon I will be starting to post here on a regular basis for Christmas.....

So I hope you will come by and visit  again!!

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

Ornaments for Other Holidays, February Rudolph Day!!

Welcome!!

It's February 25th and that means it's Rudolph Day!!

Rudolph Day is considered by some as the 25th of each month so I try to post something having to do with Christmas here on my Christmas Blog every Rudolph Day!!!

For this month's Rudolph Day, I want to share some ornaments that I bought after Christmas on Clearance but plan on using them as decorations for other Holidays.......
I bought these Patriotic Star ornaments in J.C. Penney's on Clearance for 80% off and I also had a coupon for $10 off $25........
They were originally $14.00 each and came down to about $2.00 each......
I will be using them as decoration of my Summer Patriotic Tree that I set up in the Living Room......
These beauties were bought on Clearance in Kmart.........
They were originally $3.99 each.........

They came in all gold.......
And some that had a bit of copper on them.......
I bought 8 of them and plan to use them on my Living Room Autumn Tree.......

They were marked down to 60% off which took them down to $1.60 each!!!
Over on my regular blog, Debbie-Dabble Blog, I shared some other decorations that I bought after Christmas.......

These are a few decorations that I used in our Den as part of my Winter decorations.....
 On my Winter Tree.....
And underneath it.....
Click HERE if you missed that post.....

I used these Cardinal items in the Kitchen as part of my Winter decorating.....
The plaid ribbon to made the bows was also bought after Christmas....

Click HERE and HERE if you missed those posts.....

These dishes called Holiday Harlequin were bought in Wegman's after Christmas......
I displayed them in my Kitchen hutch for Winter.....
Click HERE if you missed that post......

This pretty burlap ribbon with cardinals printed on it was used to make this Winter wreath for my front door...
Click HERE if you missed that post.....

Joe bought these 2 plates at Pier One after the Holiday.....
Here they are in our Powder Room as part of my Winter decorating....
Click HERE if you missed that post.......

So if you think outside the box a bit, you can buy great decorations and ornaments for other Holidays after Christmas........
I hope you will come by and visit again next month on the 25th of March for Rudolph Day!!!

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!
