I Will Honour Christmas In My Heart

I will honour Christmas in my heart,
and try to keep it all the year.
I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future.
The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me.
I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!

New Buys, a Vintage Santa & Storage Tips , August Rudolph Day, 2025

Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog!!

Every room in our townhouse has a different Christmas Theme and Color Scheme!!

I prove that you do not have to live in a large home to have several Trees, over 20, in all shapes and sizes!!

The majority of my Christmas decorations are placed in the same room every year and I know that this is not what most Decorator's care for but to me, it like seeing old friends again when I decorate each year for Christmas as many of my decorations were gifts from family and friends...........

I do try to add a few new things and change up things a bit but for the most part, these decorations are part of my Christmas Traditions and bring back a lot of treasured memories.....

I post 3 TIMES A WEEK on MONDAY, THURSDAY AND SATURDAYS.....

As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

 HAPPY RUDOLPH DAY!!!!!

Rudolph Day is celebrated the 25th of each month......

Most will share something to do with Christmas on Rudolph Day....

In my last post, over on my Regular Blog, Debbie-Dabble, I shared  a few Halloween Buys......

And a back yard Cottage Garden update.....

Click HERE if you missed that post!!

And now for a few Personal Notes...

I had really planned on doing a Rudolph Day post in July for Christmas in July but I was a bit under the weather dealing with a GI virus that kicked in my IBS....

I think I am finally getting all of that under control now....

Thank Goodness....

Back in the beginning of the year, I bought this National Tree Company 4' Kingswood Fir Pencil Tree for my Den...

In BOSCOV's for $42.99 with an additional 40% off discount on select Christmas items so I ordered it for a mere $25.99!!

Not bad for a Tree that was originally selling for $75 to $90!!

It will be replacing this Tree....

After the Winter was over, I took apart this old 4 foot Tree that I had used out in the Den for many years  and saved the top of it to use in a pot out on the front porch for the Winter.....

I will add some lights to it and maybe some natural greenery and it should look pretty decent!

Since I only use warm white LED lights on all my Trees and prefer unlit Trees so I can do my own lighting, I took these off the old Tree and have put them away to use on the new Tree for the Den.....

LED lights seem to last forever....

This is the extension cord that I use for this Tree with a push button to turn on....

I am looking forward to seeing what this new Tree will look like in the Den ...

The Den will be decorated for Christmas right before Halloween....

NEW BUYS

I honestly have not bought many new Christmas items and I really do not intend to do so but I did find these greatly reduced in Gabes in the beginning of June.....

I do like these tins with the clear lids to use for gifting cookies and they were marked down to $1 a piece and are of a decent size.....

I could not resist this 4 piece set of melamine Gingerbread plates.....

Marked down to only $3.00!!!!

They can be used in my Kitchen Hutch.....

In April's Rudolph Day post , I shared that I bought this beautiful Nativity.....

In March, amazing hand crafted Olive Wood Art pieces were offered at our Church for purchase....

I felt this would be an heirloom piece to pass on to my Twin Granddaughters....

 A RAFFLE BASKET WIN

I mentioned in a previous post over on my regular Blog, that I had won a raffle basket at my church's Cash Bingo in the beginning of August....

Inside it was a gift certificate for $50 to a local florist shop, which I still need to cash in, and I mentioned that I would share what else was in the basket in the future.....

I saved it for this post!!!!!

 Yes!!

I won this amazing vintage hand made ceramic Santa that lights up!!!!!

He is sitting on a sack on top of a chimney!!

The finish is a white Mother of Pearl with gold accents which will be perfect in my Dining Room.......

I know the lights look white in these photos but they are actually colored......

He is very reminiscent of the vintage ceramic Christmas Trees which are now heavily sought after and sell for quite a bit of money.....

So I did do a google search and found similar ones without the chimney for sale for anywhere from $50 to $150!!!!

So I am sure he is valued at a bit more because of the chimney....

Even the bow on the basket matched him.....

I forgot to take a picture before I unwrapped the basket.....

I LOVE him and of course, my son Joey said....

" It figures that you would win yet another Christmas item"!!!

LOL!!

I think it was meant to be!!

 STORAGE TIPS

I am always asked where do I store all my Holiday and Seasonal decor.....

Lately, I have been trying to store things in plain sight so to speak so I will not have as many tubs to haul down from my attic......

When putting away my Christmas decor in the Den, that I also use during the Winter months, I decided to make use of the vintage suitcases in front of the china cupboard......

I do pack away a lot of my Americana decor in them once I decorate for Christmas so I thought why have I not packed away Christmas decor in them??????

The suitcase on the bottom was my Mother's.....

I used it to store items from the china cupboard.....

Along with the suitcase on top, that I bought for $1 at a yard sale!!

I also used the Book storage box to store Christmas items in.....

Now I have quite a bit of Christmas items stored in plain site.....

No one would ever guess.......

And when I pack all my Americana decor away in October as I decorate the Den for Christmas.....

I will just switch out what is in the suitcases and the box!!

I also have an identical box on top of my computer armoire in the Den......

I also stored some Christmas items in this box too but I forgot to take a picture of them.....

I have an identical round table, that my Victorian Doll House sits on in the Den......

In my Living Room......

I store the heavy items from my "Under the Sea" decor under this table when I am not using them......

Like the Lighthouse.....

These larger shells that I added more shells to....

 They weigh a ton!!!

And 2 large coral pieces which are also quite heavy....

And this glass block that I filled with shells....

They are stored in boxes under the table along with other items like heavy crystal vases and when I change out the dishes in my Dining Room Hutch, I also box them up and store them under this table.....

Now back to the table in the Den......

Right now, 2 small Christmas Trees are stored under this table along with a box filled with gift bags, ribbons, some wrapping paper, etc.

I am going to move that box elsewhere and plan to store even more Christmas items from the Den under this Table.....

In plain sight.....

In a Rudolph Day post I did in February, I shared how I made use of the storage under my stairs in the Living Room.....

Which I can access through my coat closet in the downstairs hallway....

Truth be told, I had planned to reorganize the Storage Shed that I rent.....

But because of all the rain we got, along with the intense heat and humidity of this Summer, I have tabled that til September when it is cooler out...

I store all my outside decorations along with all of my son's toys from their childhood and some other things here in this storage shed which is located about 5 minutes from my house....

I have kept it after my husband passed away because should the need ever arise for my oldest son to move back in with me, he will have somewhere to store his things....

 In January's Rudolph Day post

I shared that I was developing a Financial Plan, to not only deal with Christmas Finances but 4, yes that is right, 4 Birthdays in December!!!

Both my son's Birthdays are in December....

My son Jim's is on the 7th and not only is my other son's Birthday on the 29th BUT so are my Twin Granddaughter's Birthday!!

Yes, they were born on their Uncle Joey's Birthdays!!

Hopefully, in September for Rudolph Day, I will be doing an update on my Financial Plan for Christmas which includes how I managed with my Christmas Club....

How I plan to use that Christmas Club along with the Gifts I have already purchased.....

Are you buying Gifts for Christmas or planning for it already????

I hope to do Rudolph Day posts in September and October ( barring any unforeseen circumstances) and start to post regularly here, on my Christmas Blog, starting in the beginning of November....

  1. Happy Rudolph Day. It is never too early to think about and craft for Christmas. I have a shell craft I’m thinking about and hoping it will be Christmas gifts. Good storage tips.

  2. What a wonderful raffle prize!!! Meant for you.
Now that I am up to 5 children, 5 significant others, 10 grandchildren, 1 step grandchild - Christmas shopping was scary. A few years ago I decided to purchase everyone a season pass to an area amusement park when they go on sale in August for the next year. It was a big hit. I now offer the option of the cost of the pass for those who don't want a pass. I bought them all the first week of August and my Christmas shopping is done. I do design a cute gift certificate each year so I have something to give them.
