I Will Honour Christmas In My Heart

I will honour Christmas in my heart,
and try to keep it all the year.
I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future.
The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me.
I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!

Olde Tyme Christmas in the Den, China Cupboard & Thomas Kinkade Village , Christmas Home Tour, 2023

Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog!!

Every room in our townhouse has a different Christmas Theme and Color Scheme!!

I prove that you do not have to live in a large home to have several Trees, over 20, in all shapes and sizes!!

The majority of my Christmas decorations are placed in the same room every year and I know that this is not what most Decorator's care for but to me, it like seeing old friends again when I decorate each year for Christmas as many of my decorations were gifts from family and friends...........

I do try to add a few new things and change up things a bit but for the most part, these decorations are part of my Christmas Traditions and bring back a lot of treasured memories.....

I post 3 TIMES A WEEK on MONDAY, WEDNESDAY and FRIDAYS!!!!

 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Today, I will be continuing my Tour of the Den decorated for Christmas....

I thought I would be able to do it in 2 posts but I decided it is best to do it in 3 so this is Part 2......

In my last post, I shared the first half of my Den decorated for Christmas in a Victorian theme with a blue, burgundy and ivory color theme.....

Click HERE if you missed that post!!

Thanks Julie, over at My Wee Abode, for choosing my post, Mrs. Claus's Kitchen, Gingerbread Village, as one of her features from last week's Tuesday Turn About Link Party!!!

 Thanks so much, Julie!!!

I want to Thank Angie, over at God's Growing Garden, for choosing my post, Victorian Christmas Dining Room, Buffet and Small Curio, as one of her features from last week's Tuesdays with a Twist Blog Hop!!!

 Thanks again, Angie!!

Please stop by and link up to these wonderful parties!!!

And now for a few Personal Notes...

I recently joined one of several newly formed Groups at our church, the Community Group....

Our first event was an Advent Breakfast Social held after the 9 am Mass last Sunday....

We served coffee, tea, bagels, cookies and danish ( from a parishioner's bakery that were baked fresh that morning) and had crafts ( ornament making ) for the children....

We had a great first run with attendance well over 50 people which was much more than we hoped for...

We even ran out of bagels and danish....

We will be hosting this breakfast monthly along with a lot of other events to bring the parish together as a community....

I have been tweaking the front porch and yard decorations since our new roof is finally done!

Can't wait to share them with you on MONDAY!

Today, I will be continuing my Tour of the Den decorated for Christmas in a blue, burgundy, ivory and gold color theme.....

It is decorated in a Victorian theme with all of my Thomas Kinkade Christmas decor is displayed in this room.....

With that being said, we will start where I left off in my previous post.....

I decorate the top of the computer armoire with what I call my Thomas Kinkade Village....

This year, I moved the stained glass lamp that Joe's Aunt Mary gave us from the table where the table top Tree now is over here on top of the armoire....

Why I never did this before is beyond me because the small lamp that I normally have here is much easier to store away!!!!

I have an array of Thomas Kinkade houses.....

And an Angel.....

And a clock.....

Ornaments....

And mugs that I put small flocked trees inside of....

The deer and moose came from Gabes......

This will stay up all Winter....

I decided to hang this tin pocket here this year.....

It used to be out on the front porch, then on the back door......

I filled it with greenery and gold glittered burgundy roses.....

On a vintage smoking ash tray table between the armoire and the round table where Nelson Crest is located is a Victorian style feather Tree....

The vintage topper on it is the same one I used as a child as the topper for the Tree in my bedroom!!

This is my Collection of what I call my 1940's-50's Children ornaments!!

I place this girl on the sled at the top of the Tree every year because she reminds me of me as a child in the early 60's.....

I love the Cowboy and Indian ones!!!

These were bought at Micheal's about 20 years ago....

The handmade card was sent to me by a Reader and I think it looks just like the ornaments on this Tree.....

The Tree skirt is from Dollar Tree....

I moved this beautiful gift I received on Mother's Day from my son Jim and DIL Danielle here from the Living Room as I did not want to pack it away....

I bought this in Big Lot's a few years back....

I will be sharing Nelson Crest, my Victorian Doll House, all decorated for Christmas after I complete the Room by Room Tour of our house....

This is where my Kitchen window was...

When we made this patio into another room, my Dad took out the window but I still treat it as such....

I sometimes like to sit here and read especially in the Summer when I can look out into the yard as it is usually way too hot for me to sit out on the patio in the back....

The lamp is great for reading and also for illuminating Nelson Crest....

Many years ago, when our sons were young, a 7 foot Tree with a 36 inch square platform that my Dad made for a train set once graces this corner of the Den.....

The China Cupboard is next to the chair.....

A former neighbor gave me this and I refinished it.....

On top of the China Cupboard......

I set up a display with Victorian style Carolers.....

Remember this metal sign I bought for a Buck at Dollar General????

It actually is more of a burgundy color so I thought it looked well in this room......

On the left side.....

The "Ice" church and house were gifts from my friend Anne Marie.....

The set of Carolers was one of the many things I bought from a local shop, Country Folks Gifts, that went out of business in the Pandemic......

Anne Marie also bought the "Ice" house and church at the same shop....

The blue bottle brush tree came from Big lLot's....

I just love the outfits on these Carolers.....

This year, I added the candle sticks on each side...

To the right, hanging on the wall, is my Thomas Kinkade 12 month Calendar.....

I have a different plate for each month.....

I pretty much do the same thing inside the China Cupboard each year....

I set it up like a Winter Village.....

I did leave some of my blue transferware plates inside of it.....

 And now....

The top shelf....

Hand made crocheted snowflakes were bought at a church flea market....

Middle shelf....

Most the the mica coated figures were bought at Boscov's and some were gifted to me....

Bottom Shelf.....

A reproduction chimney flute cover, with a Victorian scene on it, hangs on the left side....

A wreath I made hangs on the right side....

And this is where I will leave off for today.....

In my next post on FRIDAY, I will be finishing up my Tour of the Den and sharing the rest of the area around the China Cupboard.....

And the 3rd tree in this room, my Thomas Kinkade Tree....

So I hope you will stop by to visit again on FRIDAY!

Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!

  1. Your church breakfast looks scrumptious! And the crafts are adorable. What a great turnout, too. Can't wait to hear what you do next month.
I am just getting more behind. We finally got our Covid boosters yesterday and we are just exhausted. So I don't see anything happening for the next day or two either. You are so smart to decorate early.

  2. Hi Deb, hope you are keeping well. As always your decorating is spectacular. I'm 3 weeks after knee surgery now, walking with my cane and some steps without it at all. My decorating is very slow, took me about 2.5 days to get my village up. It is snowing today, so perhaps a start on the tree. By the time I get it all done it will be time to start putting it away. I need your decorating abilities here to finish it off for me. Your church breakfast time looks delicious, and I bet the kids had fun making ornaments. Have a wonderful week.

  5. Hi Debbie - Your house looks so festive decorated with Thomas Kinkade and with all the little vignettes. Even one above your computer. It was nice to see photos of your Church social. It sounds like a nice community of people. As always, thank you for linking up with the Home Imagined Link Party. Wishing you a Happy New Year.
