I Will Honour Christmas In My Heart

I will honour Christmas in my heart,
and try to keep it all the year.
I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future.
The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me.
I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!

A Shop, New Treasures and a Secret!! October Rudolph Day!!

Welcome to October's Rudolph Day post......
The 25th of every month is considered by many to be Rudolph Day !!

I usually try to post something Christmas related to celebrate Rudolph Day on my Christmas blog......

There are 3 parts to this post....

A Shop, New Treasures and a Secret!!

Let's start with "A Shop"........

Recently, we visited one of my favorite shops. Country Folk........
It is a 3 story barn that has been turned into an amazing Home Decor Store.........

I did a post over on my regular blog, Debbie-Dabble Blog, showcasing how Country Folk was decorated for Fall and Halloween......
If you missed that post, please click HERE.....

Even though Country Folk is now closed for 2 weeks as the staff decorates for Christmas, they have a Christmas display of Pennsylvania made Byers Choice Carolers up year round..........
I will let the pictures do the talking.....
As I said, Country Folk is closed for 2 weeks but their amazing display house was already closed when we were there and the decorating had already begun......
We will be going back in a few weeks and I will be doing several posts featuring the amazing Christmas displays that they are noted for.......

Part 2 of this post deals with "New Treasures".....
I want to share some of my new Christmas treasures!!
I had a Gift Card for Cracker Barrel and instead of using it for a meal, I went shopping!!!!
I bought this lovely Putz house for $20........
And these 2 ornaments.....
With the gift card, I only paid $5.35 for these....

A neighbor gave me this cute Victorian dress ornament.......
My Pink Christmas Treasures........
I bought this cute tin for $1.99 in Gabes.........
I loved the graphic on it.......

And I bought these at Big Lot's using a coupon that I received from using my Rewards Card........
I am not sure if I will using the deer ornaments for Christmas or wait until I do my Winter Tree in the Den after Christmas......

I love this......
And it lights up.......
Big Lot's has a great collection of Christmas items this year......
And I also want to thank Linda for sending me these wonderful Christmas books.........
Thanks so much!!

Linda, I lost your email address so please email me!!!

The 3rd part of this post is my Secret.........
These photos are NOT from last year!!!
During the month of October, I secretly decorated the upstairs for Christmas!!
I did the same thing last year and it really gave me a head start on my Christmas decorating!!!

In about 2 weeks, I will start posting my annual Christmas Home Tour here on my Christmas Blog!!
Yes, I am one of those people who are crazy about Christmas and start celebrating the Christmas season before Thanksgiving.
I like to have the whole house and I do mean the whole house decorated before Thanksgiving so I can sit back and enjoy the Holiday season!!
So I hope you will come by and visit  again!!

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

If you do not have a blog, PLEASE  give me some way to reply to your comment, maybe by including your email in your comment.  If I can not find a way to reach you, I will reply on the post where you commented so please check back......

Hugs,
Debbie

  1. The shop looks marvellous and what a fun place to go. You found lots of wonderful treasures, Debbie. I love the putz houses! I laughed but I'm not really surprised when I saw that you had already started decorating for Christmas. I used to start early too when the kids were growing up and like you, I decorated every room in the house. My friends were always teasing me especially when the music was playing in early November. If I could have, the music would have been playing all year because I always loved it. Thanks for sharing and those books look lovely. You have thoughtful friends!

    Hugs,
    Sandi

  2. What a JOY!!! and thanks for reminding me to use my rewards coupon . . I'm loving all the new Christmas products in Big Lots! Can't wait to see this year's tour. I had to chuckle when I saw the putz house, thinking Penny would love the pink!

  4. Your new pink and white Putz house is adorable and I love those carolers. I saw a fluffy camel and grey donkey that I like in the nativity scene. I posted a Rudy post too, today, in our shared Christmas blog at scrapbookofchristmasfirsts.blogspot.com Your photos are so sparkly and wonderful and your home just glows with Christmas joy.

  5. Love the putz house! Shopping with your Cracker Barrel gift card means you got items that will last much longer than a meal would have! That was very wise!

    That shop looks amazing too!

  6. I have enjoyed the Byers Carolers for a very long time. Their story is a great inspiration to me and it is so nice to see that after all these years they are still making dolls! Thanks for sharing.

  8. I wasn't at all surprised by your little secret.....lol! You and I both like to start decorating early, don't we! I have a lot of mine up already too...but for a different reason. As soon as the ins. approves H's surgery ....hopefully in the next week or so....he is going to have some surgery done. His recuperation will be from 1-3 months. depending on how the surgery goes. So, I have got out as much of my Christmas as possible because I don't know if I'll have any time left for decorating after the surgery. May even have to take a blogging break, hope not! hugs......

  9. I haven't decorated my house for Christmas the way you do, but I'm inspired to change my ways this year! I won't be decorating before December 6th tho. That's a tradition we have. When our kids where little we celebrated Sinterklaas on December 5th. Kind of like Santa Claus with gifts for everybody. But because it's a different celebration than Christmas, we decorate after Sinterklaas, not before.
All the best from The Netherlands,
    Petra

  10. I am an after Thanksgiving person because I love my Autumn decorations to be up through Thanksgiving but my niece has already started putting up her trees, I think she has over 30 she decorates.
I love the carolers, especially the manager scene one, wow that is a lot of them!
Love all the new goodies you have found, I especially love the deer under the glass that lights up!

  14. Wow. I found your blog via Beverly's Pink Saturday blog hop. I am (1) following your blog because I am absolutely enchanted by it, and (2) bookmarking it, because when people tease me about going overboard on Christmas decorating, I want to be able to send them a link to somebody who has me beat double time!

    Thanks for making my Saturday!
