I Will Honour Christmas In My Heart

I will honour Christmas in my heart,
and try to keep it all the year.
I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future.
The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me.
I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!

Trees All Year Long 2011!!

As part of the Christmas in July Celebrations in Blogland, I thought I would once again show you that you don't have to take down your trees or tree after the Christmas Holidays are over.

I did a similar post on this at the end of last Holiday season but I thought I would share with you my Trees of 2011 since I did change things up a bit.

I left my 7 ft. Living Room Tree up after Christmas and turned it into one of my Valentine's Day Trees!!

I decorated this Valentine's Day tree with a red and gold color scheme.....

I also kept the 7 ft. slim Dining Room Tree up and turned it into my Pink Valentine's Day Tree...

Pink and white was the theme for this tree.....

I set up a small white feather tree adorned with silver, pink and gold hearts.....

It was also in the Dining Room.....

Just added some red hearts to my Powder Room tree after taking all the Christmas oriented Snow Buddy ornaments off this tree. I left on only the Snow men ones for Winter.......

The Den Tree also became a Valentine's Day Tree......

Burgundy, blue and ivory was the color theme of this tree......

And then for Easter, the Dining Room tree was packed away, the round table that is normally in this corner was put back and a Pink Tree was placed on the table and decorated for Easter!!

This tree casts such a wonderful glow at night.......

The Living Room Tree was also taken down to our storage shed and this 5 foot potted tree was brought home from the shed and set up.

It also became an Easter tree....

This was decorated with bright Easter colors......

The tree in my Craft Room was kept up and I decided to decorate this with tea cups, roses , birds and butterflies for the summer.....

I even used real tea cups......

The 5 foot potted tree will now stay in the Living Room until the 7 ft. Christmas tree comes back from the storage Shed and is decorated for Christmas.

This tree is now a Patriotic Tree and I will keep it decorated like this until September 11.

And then I will decorate it as a Fall Tree.....

I already bought some new ornaments at the end of last holiday season that are copper colored leaves and green acorns......

So at the end of this coming holiday season and there is clearance on ornaments, take a good look, think outside the box and imagine what you could use to decorate trees for all seasons and holidays through out the year and keep that wonderful glow from a lit tree in your rooms all year long!!!

Old Christmas Magazines, Christmas in July Party

Once again I thought I would share with you one of the magazines from my collection.

This issue is Victorian Decorating and Lifestyle, Dec./Jan. 1997

It is chalk full of all kinds of inspiration for the Holidays....

Please click on pics to enlarge and then you can click on them one more time and you should be able to read the articles if you chose to........

What an entrance!!!

Love this wall paper.

It reminds me of Richard's Home over at My Old Historic House
who is currently featuring some of his beautiful reds.....

What a tree!!

I adore this lamp!!

What a fantastic home, don't you think????

I spent a week down the Jersey Shore ( not the TV show) at WildWood , N. J. every year of my life from 4 years old to about 35 years old.

As a child and teenager vacationing with my parents, we would take a ride for a Day Trip to Cape May. I remember Cape may when all of these beautiful homes were falling apart.
Then Cape may was put on the national Historic Register and funding was available for restoration.

Every year , more and more of these beautiful Victorian Homes were restored until Cape May became the wonderful Tourist Attraction it now is. This was always the day of our vacation that I looked forward to the most.....

My Dream Vacation that is on my Bucket List is to spend an entire week in Cape May during their annual Victorian Christmas Celebration.....

I was so excited when I saw this article.......

Hopefully, someday, my dream will come true!!

And now onto a great Crafting idea......

I am thinking of using sheet music......

Yes, that is a tree hanging upside down. This was a common practice in Victorian times.....

You can now buy artificial trees on a stand that are upside down. The ornaments look fantastic on these trees because they are hanging freely!!

If you don't have room for a large tree, You can use small ones.....

I LOVE this bedroom and how it is decorated!!

I hope you enjoyed revisiting this beautiful magazine.

I am participating in the Christmas in July Blog party over at Holiday Haven.

Also joining Deck the Halls Friday!!

All you have to do is link up a Christmas post from last season. You don't have to do a new post if you do not want to.
Please consider joining in on the fun!!

Also please visit Debbie- Dabble for a tour of my Craft Room as I am joining the annual party of Where Bloggers Create.

Thanks so much for visiting today and every day that you take the time to do so!!
