Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!
I am so happy you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog!!
The majority of my Christmas decorations are placed in the same room every year and I know that this is not what most Decorator's care for but to me, it like seeing old friends again when I decorate each year for Christmas as many of my decorations were gifts from family and friends...........
I do try to add a few new things and change up things a bit but for the most part, these decorations are part of my Christmas Traditions and bring back a lot of treasured memories.....
Yesterday, even though it is officially on January 6th, the Catholic Church celebrated Epiphany, the Feast of the 3 Kings, which is the official end of the Christmas Season...
I will now be starting switch over my Christmas decoration to Winter/Valentine's...
We are supposed to be in a warm up this week starting on Tuesday with high temp's in the 40's until next weekend...
That will allow me to change over the outside front of my house to Winter from Christmas....
Because right now, this is how it looks....
Then I will start to change the Den over to Winter.....
It usually takes me about 3 weeks to make the change over, as I do leave some things out after Christmas, and Winter will stay up into March and Valentine's til the end of February as February is Heart Month...
This season, I spent a lot of time watching YOU TUBE Christmas decorating videos and they really did brighten my spirits when they were a bit down....
I find that they offer more of the content that I am interested in when it comes to decorating than most of the Blogs , which are beginning to look, to me, like professional, cookie cutter blogs...
If you have visited me on my Blogs before, you know that I am a maximalist , who has many vintage and antique Collections made up of treasured inherited, gifted and thrifted items...
I also love the Victorian, Shabby Chic, Country Cottage look which I am so happy to say is back in style and now called Grandma Chic....
So if you are a minimalist, this post is NOT for you....
These Home Tours will most likely make your skin crawl!!
LOL!!
All of these people on YOU TUBE share my philosophy on decorating....
The Victorian Philosophy of More is More!!
So be forewarned...
They are not for a faint of heart minimalist....
We each have our own style and these YOU TUBE Channels definitely depict what style I love!
And I ask that you respect that as I also respect your style, though it may be different than mine...
My Favorite You Tube Videos
Arlynn's Seasonal Decor and Designs
I have been following Arlynn for a very long time and never did I think that her own grief Journey, after the passing of one of her daughters, in her late 30's, would be so much of a help to me....
After such a horrific loss, Arlynn has continued to decorate her beautiful home for every Holiday and Season because she says it makes her heart feel good...
I can understand that...
To me, Julie is the queen of thrifting....
And she has the wonderful talent of making the most inexpensive items like paper plates look rich and elegant....
Julie had fallen on some hard times, losing a husband, losing a sister, remarrying and then a contractor took off with her money that she paid him for renovations on her home but she has an upbeat attitude and makes the most out of what she has and decorates her home to the nine's....
She went with the trend this year of a Ralph Lauren Christmas in her small home but did it on a very low budget and it looks stunning!!
Even though I am not a lover of white as a color in my home, I really do admire and appreciate Becca's style....
Sandy mixes new and vintage thrifted decor to create quite a charming and inviting look...
I would die to have her front porch!
I love all the beautiful vintage pieces in Michele's small cottage and I adore how she displays everything...
Joe is the crafter and decorator in this married couple....
Each year, he styles each room in a different theme but this year, he did a whole house theme of "Twas the Night Before Christmas"
SPECTACULAR!
Kim posted 2 Update videos to her channel on her home tour
She also did several Room videos that you may be interested in
Almost everything in Kim's charming home is thrifted and I love all of it...
I first "met" Priscilla when she was still actively blogging....
She still has her blog and created a business from it....
I always loved her house tours especially at Christmas because she, like me, had multiple Trees and decorated every room...
Priscilla, sadly, is fighting cancer so I ask for your prayers for her but she still decked out her home beautifully and her village and the Tree on which it is displayed is something truly fantastic!!
This Mother and Daughter Duo are professional decorators and decorate their 100 year old home simply exquisitely!!
Amber was one of the 145 people who were invited to decorate the White House this Christmas!!
AMAZING!!!
Tonya and Greg are friends with Jean E, who I list down a little further, and are avid antique and vintage collectors!!
They decorate their home with many of their collections and it is so darn charming!!
Brooke had a Tree fall on her home during a storm and it literally split her home in half, right down the middle...
They have rebuilt it and now she has it all decked out for Christmas...
She is a very thrifty shopper and is not a Trendy decorator as she states in this video...
Other favorite You Tube Channels who did not do Whole House Home Tours but did Room by Room Tours for Christmas....
Lauren is a mom of 4 children who now makes her living from her You Tube Channel...
This is an almost 2 hour video where she shares almost all the rooms of her home....
Brittney also makes her living as a Social Media Content creator but I do love her home as she is a self professed Seasonal Decorator...
She recently suffered the loss of one of her beloved dogs, adopted a new pup , making the total 4!
Below is a video of her Gingerbread Kitchen which I adore...
Jean and her husband John were Antique dealers and have massive collections of antiques and vintage pieces!!
Jean is 78 and John is in his 80's and yet they still go to yard sales and still keep adding to their collections!!
They are my heroes!
She decorates with reckless abandon and I just love it along with her positive attitude about all her "treasures".
This is the tour of her Living Room
I will admit that probably because I am a Northerner, I do have a hard time understanding the southern drawl in her video's BUT she shares AMAZING Home Tours of vintage inspired homes where she lives...
And I honestly do not mean any disrespect about their accents...
One of my favorites is always Aunt Penny's Home tour
If you enjoyed any of these video, please give them a "like" and subscribe to their Channels....
I hope I did not miss any other of my favorites but if I did, I will include them in a future Rudolph Day post....
I am a Seasonal Decorator and I love to decorate my townhouse for the different Holidays and Seasons but Christmas is my all time favorite to decorate for....
I always said that I would love to own a Christmas Shop....
I hope and pray that the Christmas Season of 2025 was kind to you and your families....
And I apologize that I was not around as often as I should have been to visit your blogs but it was a very busy Season for me...
And, being quite honest, it was a harder one that I expected as it was the second Christmas without my husband Joe and the first one without my dear best friend Anne Marie and my wonderful neighbor Ed...
But I made it through and watching these You Tube Videos helped me do that....
Thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!
