Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!
I am so happy you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog!!
Every room in our townhouse has a different Christmas Theme and Color Scheme!!
I prove that you do not have to live in a large home to have several Trees, over 20, in all shapes and sizes!!
The
majority of my Christmas decorations are placed in the same room every
year and I know that this is not what most Decorator's care for but to
me, it like seeing old friends again when I decorate each year for
Christmas as many of my decorations were gifts from family and
friends...........
I do try to add a few new things and change up
things a bit but for the most part, these decorations are part of my
Christmas Traditions and bring back a lot of treasured memories.....
I am now posting 3 times a week !!!
I will be posting on TUESDAY, THURSDAY and SATURDAY
As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....
Today, I will be sharing my Annual Christmas Home Tour with 22 Trees and some new Christmas Buys and Crafts and where I put them....
In my last post, I shared New Year's Tablescapes and Christmas Gifts!!!
Click
HERE if you missed that post....
Please stop by and link up to this lovely party!!!
And now for a few Personal Notes...
Tomorrow is the Feast of the Three Kings or Epiphany which is the official end of the Christmas Season in the Catholic Church......
I will not start changing over Christmas to Winter/Valentine's decorations until the weekend.....
I am in no hurry to pack Christmas away.....
I love the way the house looks decorated for Christmas .....
It
used to be tradition in NEPA that no one took down their Christmas
decorations until January 6th or "Russian" Christmas which will be
celebrated on January 7th this year....
I did take advantage of the unseasonably warm weather we have been having here over the last few days and did convert the front of the house over to Winter from Christmas.....
I will be doing a post on this soon......
Food of the Week
With Joe no longer working at the Concession Stand at the Toyoto Sportsplex for the Wilkes Barre Scranton Penguins, we are no longer getting the Reheat and Eat meals on a regular basis....
That means more cooking for me!
Aren't I the Lucky One????
NOT!!!
You can't beat a Sam's Club rotisserie chicken for $5!!
I served this for mashed potatoes, chicken gravy and corn.....
I had a chuck of ham that I did not slice up for Christmas Day dinner that I saved to make Ham Salad or "Monkey Meat" as it is known in this area!
Why is it called "Monkey Meat"?
I have no Idea!!!
A squirt of mustard, relish and mayo to taste after dicing the ham up.....
And Joe actually liked it and ate it!!!
Well, wonders never cease!!!
We also wondered if Joe would continue to be lucky when buying Lottery Tickets since his favorite , and only place, to buy them, Valley Mart, is now closed and being torn down so a new Sheetz can be built in it's place.....
Well, I guess we do not have to worry about that because yesterday on Jan. 4th, he won $500....
The Win All equaled $500
Ironically, the last time he won like this was on November 4th which was his Mother's Birthday and now he won on the 4th again....
Interesting....
It will pay for the new brakes that we are having put on our car....
This will be my LAST regular post on this, my Christmas Blog, ending the 2022 Christmas Holiday Season!!!
I hope to post on a few monthly Rudolph Days throughout the year....
But I make no promises.....
For now, I will continue to post the 3 days a week.....
We will see how it goes as it is a grueling, time consuming schedule to keep up with....
And now, my last post of the Christmas Season of 2022.....
My Annual Christmas Home Tour!!
It took me a total of 32 days to decorate this year....
The Front Porch and Yard......
We did get a little bit of snow several times before Christmas and there was snow on the ground for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day so I did get the White Christmas I wish for every year.....
I bought these right before Christmas in Dollar Tree after seeing them used on a Christmas Home Tour on the You Tube Channel....
What I did not realize is that they light up by pushing a button on the base of them!!
I did put them outside but I had no intention of going out every evening and turning them on....
And then I saw these electric ones in Ocean State Job Lot!!!
They were on sale for 50% off so I bought 2 sets of 3 at only $4.49 each and I will use them next year which will create a nice pop of color!!!

I bought this soft and fluffy velvet plush Christmas throw for the Living Room at Ocean State Job Lot!!
I have it on the ottoman!!
I also saw this green fur like stocking in a Pop Up shop in our local Mall on sale for $2!!!
I made it into a pillow and added a red cuff in the same fabric as I used for the pillow covers that I made......
I added one of my Christmas pins to it!!

When I went for my last hair cut, I bought these ornaments in J.C. Penney's....
One was $17 and the other one was $22 but at 60% off and a coupon for $10 off coupon, this is all I paid for them....
I put them in the curio.....
I also bought these ornaments....
They were $10, $12 and $14 but again, with 60% off and a 35% off coupoon , this is all I paid for them!!!!
When I brought them home, I found the deer pretty much matched this Santa exactly!!!!
I used the other ornaments in the Kitchen....
I also bought this rocking horse in Dollar General at 50% off at only $7.50......
I will be embellishing it and displaying it in the Dining Room year round.....

Now I had so much fun decorating the Kitchen this year in a Gingerbread, candy and hot cocoa theme!!!
I decorated the Kitchen in this theme for many years and was thrilled to see that it came back in style this Season Big Time!!
I did pick up a few more things for the Kitchen after Christmas....
Half price in Big Lot's.....
A gift package of Hot Chocolate and more chocolate spoons...
A Santa Mug also at Big Lot's for only $2.99!
Also this tin.....
I rearranged the Hot Beverage Bar because of these buys......
I bought these things in Dollar General.....
Before Christmas......
After Christmas for $1.00 at 50% off.....
I put this together using the napkins and wood sign along with things I had and a cute rolling pin sign that I was gifted......
These were on Clearance in Bed, Bath and Beyond for $2 a piece!!!
These Phaltzgraff Winterberry salt and peppers were bought at Boscov's for $5.99 down from $19.99!!
I will keep these out year round.....
I bought this in Ocean State Job Lot for half price.....
I used it in this bottle I made last year.....
I used one of those Dollar Tree candy canes here.....
I will most likely use the rest of the Dollar Tree ones in the Kitchen next year.....
This is one of the ornaments I bought in Penney's......
And I had this cutie in my stash of crafts so I painted him and a bunch of smaller ones and added them to a few signs in the Kitchen!!!!

I embellished an instrument bottle that was my neighbor Elly's....
And it found a home here....
I changed this out after running off Christmas Carol graphics online, framing them in gold Christmas cards frames that I had in my stash and mounting them on a piece of black velvet fabric in a picture frame.....
I also added 2 over here....
I decided to fill this tin container with greenery and placed it on the side of the shelf.......

I like how you decorated the outside of your house for the winter. I also like the stocking pillow you made. Wishing you a happy new year Debbie.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to miss your reheat and eat meals almost as much as you do! I love to cook, but not 365 days a year. And not three meals a day! I haven't started taking down Christmas either. It makes my house look so bare!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing how you decorate for Christmas and make use of your many trees. I'd love more Christmas trees in our house but my husband prefers a more minimalist style, haha!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the lotto win too, that's awesome!
Hope you are having a good start to the new year :)
