Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!
I am so happy you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog!!
The majority of my Christmas decorations are placed in the same room every year and I know that this is not what most Decorator's care for but to me, it like seeing old friends again when I decorate each year for Christmas as many of my decorations were gifts from family and friends...........
I do try to add a few new things and change up things a bit but for the most part, these decorations are part of my Christmas Traditions and bring back a lot of treasured memories.....
When it was all said and done.....
On Friday, I made a batch of Double Decker peanut butter and chocolate fudge....

Gosh, you really did get a lot of snow! The comfort food was a great idea. We have been lucky so far. Just a few inches and it melts fast. Your house is just beautiful with all the Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI am not surprised it took you 33 days to decorate, it certainly looks amazing. So much snow too, it is like a winter wonderland. The fudge particularly looks very tasty. The dolls house is inspirational, I am working on one at the moment. Have a wonderful Christmas.
ReplyDeleteMy favorites of your trees are #10, #17 and #21. LOVE! Something about the combo of colors and the decorations you used, they just ring my chimes. You know, I'm with you, I don't mind shovelling snow, I like the exercise, but I find that unless there is relatively little snow and I can't get it done in 30 minutes, I have to shovel with breaks in-between 30 minute sessions. I suppose part of it is just getting older and I can't go as long as I used to without taking a break, and also the a-fib doesn't help, although it is about as under control as it can while still having a wonky beat. Because I have a mitral valve issue I was told when I was diagnosed in 2012 that I would not be a candidate for the kind of "zapping" with laser procedures they now do to deaden the nerves that are misfiring and cause the irregular heart beat. Okay by me, I operate just fine as long as I keep a slow to medium and steady pace in whatever chores or walking I'm doing outside. Since I don't drive, I don't worry about shovelling out the driveway, I can do that over days to get some exercise in, but since I use the side door to go in and out of the house that enters off the driveway, I do shovel off the side stoop and steps and shovel about a foot and a half wide from the steps to the front sidewalk. Entire front sidewalk is always done first. I've never tested the law that says you need to clear your front walkway within 24 hours of when the snow stops falling, but it would probably be me who would get the first ever ticket in our neighborhood, even though the guy who lives next store to me rarely shovels his walk within 24 hours! It takes longer for me to get the job done when the snow is wet and heavy, shorter when the snow is dry and fluffy, unless it's windy and it blows right back in the face when I forget about the wind direction and try to throw a shovel full to the side, LOL. It doesn't look like you have a lot of space to pile up your snow, geez. It has to be tough if you get a build-up of several feet and tall snowbanks along your walkways! Have a wonderful Christmas season Debbie and family. Maybe you should think about starting up a side business decorating people's homes for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie. Merry, Merry Christmas to the most incredible home decorator ever----YOU. I think I love the all pink trees with little bursts of other colors. They make my heart beat faster. And I LOVE the Nelson's Crest, of course. So so lovely. You truly should get some kind of a prize for the most industrious and creative Christmas decorator. Many blessings to you and all your family this changed holiday season! Hugs. Susan
ReplyDeleteIF I had to pick, #12, 18, 19 and of course all of NELSON CREST...totally in love with your sweet house. And, wow, you sure have OUR snow..(we have none in Chicagoland) only a bit of dusting here and there. You should really think about doing a public display at your library or a community center....too good not to share with more people! Could be a great fundraiser for a charity. HUGS, maybe I have watched too many Christmas movies. Have a Great holiday Season...and you are Queen of Christmas! Hugs, Sandi
ReplyDeleteLove them all Debbie. You put so much into each one. I am telling you again you need to open your home and do a tour of all your decor. You work so hard to make this beautiful and I know so many would love to have an in person tour. Happy Sunday. Here we go into Christmas. Enjoy every minute of those pretty trees and decor. xoxo
ReplyDeleteYou and I share a passion for trees, don't we, Debbie! They are beautiful and I know how much work it is to do it. Fun work -- but big work! Your fool proof fudge looks delicious! Have a beautiful Christmas week, my friend!
ReplyDeleteYour trees are all so beautiful!! The deer in the woods is so pretty! Thanks for sharing! Wishing you a wonderful day!!
ReplyDeleteAll of your trees are so pretty, Debbie. I do not think I could ever choose a favorite. You all have also got a lot of snow. I hope you have a very Merry Christmas. Hugs, Melisa
