Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!
I am so happy you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog!!
The majority of my Christmas decorations are placed in the same room every year and I know that this is not what most Decorator's care for but to me, it like seeing old friends again when I decorate each year for Christmas as many of my decorations were gifts from family and friends...........
I do try to add a few new things and change up things a bit but for the most part, these decorations are part of my Christmas Traditions and bring back a lot of treasured memories.....
I originally hoped to share the Front Porch and Yard but I am still waiting for a little bit more snow to fall to take some pictures because everything looks better with snow, don't you think???
I decided to change a few things up a bit this year in the Den.....
I bought this mail box at Michael's a few years back....
On the pantry closet door, is a Cynthia Hart calendar........
This is the area of the Den where I sit and watch TV when Joe is watching hockey or football.....
I changed things up a bit in this area for Christmas.....
These pictures on the walls are of Thomas Kinkade scenes .....
I went through my Collection of Thomas Kinkade Christmas cards and simply taped the ones that fit perfectly over the original scenes to the glass.....
I decided to use these 2 Santa's, that I had used in the Living Room in previous years, here on the shelves above the TV......
On the shelf are Victorian Sleders from Hallmark that were gifted to me.....
The other Santa......
The electrical box.....
A small wreath that I made......
I hung these 2 Victorian styled plates on the wall this year......
Instead of using the plates that I hung on the wall on this shelf like I did in past years, I decided to stick with the Santa theme and placed 2 Santa's on this shelf above my chair.....
On this shelf is a "Twas the Night Before Christmas" display.....
" Not a Creature was stirring, not even a Mouse"
On the chair......
The back door........
On the side of the door.....
A Thomas Kinkade 4 Season clock......
Again, I taped a Thomas Kinkade Christmas card to the back of an Americana wooden block....
Another block and a Thomas Kinkade Angel......
This is the 4 1/2 foot table top Tree that is the main Tree in this room.....
I will be sharing more of this Tree in my next post as I did decorate it a bit differently this year.....
A Charles Dicken's Christmas Carol display on the shelves between the windows.....
"I will honor Christmas in my heart and try to keep it all year"
My sons loved A Christmas Carol because of the ghosts in the story!!!
These figurines from the story were bought in Boscov's about 30 years ago.......
Both my sons each have a set of the figures as it is one of their favorite Christmas stories!!
In the corner is my computer armoire....
This year, I set up a Thomas Kinkade Village of sorts on top of the armoire......
A Thomas Kinkade jar candle lid on the left and ornament on the right.......
I bought this handsome deer this year in Gabes.......
A Thomas Kinkade Collector's house.....
The Thomas Kinkade church placed on top of a drum was offered by FTD Florists......
Bought the angel a few years ago ( she lights up but is on a timer) in Boscov's.....
A Thomas Kinkade ornament.......
I just bought this moose in Gabes.....
I actually thought it was a reindeer and realized that it was not when I took a closer look at it when I came home!!!
The burgundy feather tree was bought a long time ago in Target......
And this Thomas Kinkade clock graces this area year round.....
I change the Thomas Kinkade picture ( calendar pictures) in this frame through out the year and in the past, I hung this in the downstairs hall........
On the side of the computer armoire is a smoking stand that has a large ash tray on top of it......
Now of course I do not use it as a smoking stand nor ash tray......
This year, I moved this white Victorian styled feather Tree here from where I had previously had it by the china cupboard in past years.....
I placed it in a vintage red transferware soup tureen.......
It is topped with a vintage Tree topper from my childhood.....
I used this topper on the Tree I had as a child in my bedroom, on the Tree I had in my dorm room in Nursing School and on the Tree in our Master Bedroom when we first got married and later on the Tree that I put up in this Den when the boys were young that sat on a platform and had a train set.....
This feather Tree is decorated with ornaments bought a long time ago at Michael's......
They portray children from the 1940's and 1950's......
On the shelves ..........
A cloche bought at Target........
Santa bottles that I embellished.......
In my next post, I will be sharing the China Cupboard and how I decorated the top of it and around it.....
And this new to this room Tree decorated in all Thomas Kinakde ornaments.....
Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!
Thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

ReplyDeleteWow Debbie you are all decked out! If feels good to get it all pulled together doesn’t it!
ReplyDeleteYour decoration is wonderful. Happy weekend to you.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a beautifully themed room! I love how it all comes together. So much Christmas spirit! Thanks for sharing. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you retired, Debbie, or it would never be done so well! I love the idea f a Kincaid room. What a clever idea.
ReplyDeleteI just settled in with my morning coffee and I'm coming for a visit! Already I'm just blown away at how gorgeous this all is. I love your Kinkade room! It's a good thing it's a virtual visit or the alarms would be going off when I leave! I'm sure that adorable Christmas mouse would fit nicely under my coat on my way out! So many fun displays as always. Is that Kinkade's Light of Peace behind the trees? It's always his lighthouses that I fall in love with. This is just beautiful Debbie! Thanks so much for sharing it all. Puts me in such a good mood! Have a wonderful weekend and stay safe!
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie! Thanks for sharing your lovely Christmas decor at Vintage Charm!
ReplyDeleteOh, Debbie, it never ceases to amaze me, the amount of Christmas you have acquired. I've pretty much put a stop to acquiring anything for about 15 years...because of ending up with my parents and grandparents things. I love your sweet room, and I would be hard pressed to pass on that adorable Snowman under the cloche...he just has so much personality. Simply lovely! Sandi
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing your lovely Christmas decor with us at Charming Homes and Gardens Debbie. I just love Thomas Kinkade. So fun to visit.
