I Will Honour Christmas In My Heart

I will honour Christmas in my heart,
and try to keep it all the year.
I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future.
The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me.
I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!

A Vintage Christmas Tree and Vignettes in the Sitting Room, Christmas Home Tour

Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog!!

I want to mention that since Blogger changed to a new format for posting, if you can click on each picture if you care to enlarge it......

Every room in our townhouse has a different Christmas Theme and Color Scheme!!

I prove that you do not have to live in a large home to have several Trees, over 20, in all shapes and sizes!!

The majority of my Christmas decorations are placed in the same room every year and I know that this is not what most Decorator's care for but to me, it like seeing old friends again when I decorate each year for Christmas as many of my decorations were gifts from family and friends...........

I do try to add a few new things and change up things a bit but for the most part, these decorations are part of my Christmas Traditions and bring back a lot of treasured memories.....

Today, I will be showing you the main Tree and some new vignettes in the Sitting Room.....

But first, I want to share an amazing Sunset, taken from our back yard because that is where the Sun is setting now.....

And I am proud to introduce you the the newest member of our family.......

Meet little Miss Faye!!

Our Jim and Danielle are her proud Doggie Parents....

So darn cute!!!!

She currently weighs all of 4.5 pounds and is 4 months old!!!!

You can see the "Uncle" Joey is ecstatic!!

We are all so excited!!!

Joe and I have the privilege of being able to help out, going to their house ( down the street) to leave her outside when they will be working!!

We jumped on the chance to do so!!!

Here are some pictures from this morning......

She is going to be one spoiled little girl!!!

Today, I will be finally sharing the upstairs Sitting Room decorated for Christmas.....

I will be doing this in 2 parts as I did add some things to the room this year.....

Today, I will be showing you the main Tree and some new vignettes in the Sitting Room.....

Hanging on the door to the room is a wreath that I made that matches the colors of the room......

Hanging from the wreath is a matching set of bells......

The main Tree is in this corner of the room......

To the side of the table that the tree is on is a vintage wash stand.......

A window mirror hangs under the shelf that once housed my son Jim's DVD's and books when he lived here as this was once his bedroom......

On the shelf of the "window"....

And vintage Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer Golden Book with a vintage reindeer......

In the corner, hanging is a chandy that I made and added bright pink icicles to it.....

Next to the table......

An Angel that I bought at a Flea Market......

I bought this 4 1/2 foot white Tree last year, replacing a 6 foot white Tree that I had used in this corner for a number of years......

This room is usually decorated in a Garden theme because of the floral wallpaper border that I used in here....

So because of that, I also chose to decorate it for Christmas using several colors......

Bright pink, aqua and green........

The Tree is topped off with a vintage styled Tree Topper and a bow made from 3 different kinds of ribbons......

The streamers are made from the 3 different ribbons.....

I decorated this Tree with ornaments in the colors of bright pink, aqua and green......

Some new in solid colors.......

And some of my collection of Shiny Brite ornaments in those colors.....

There is also beaded garland on the Tree in those 3 colors.....

There are also some special ornaments like my sons Baby's First Christmas Ornaments....

Underneath the Tree on the table, I decided to set up my Plastic Ville Christmas Village....

The red barn and the blue cottage were my parent's and the chalk figures were my Mother's as a child......

The church and the red cottage I bought at a Flea Market.....

On the side of the Tree , sitting on a chair are my sons Cabbage Patch dolls......

On their laps is a book that I read over and over to my sons.....

It is a great little book that pretty much explains every thing a child can possibly ask about Santa.....

This is how the Tree looks in the evening......

Next to the chair are several shelves and book cases......

This is actually 2 shelf like tables stacked on top of each other.....

On the top shelf by the TV.......

I put together a bunch of some vintage putz houses and some new ones......

On the top shelf.........

In the back ground are 2 more Christmas books that I used to read to my sons.....

On the next shelf is a snow village that I bought many years ago  in Target.....

I added a small set of fairy lights to each shelf and 2 trees that change colors I bought at Dollar Tree....

These are some pictures in the evening.....

I have an old CD player for my CD's on the bottom shelf and a vintage Frosty the Snow Man Golden Book......

More of my sons Christmas books in this red children's wagon.......

A book case that my Dad built......

On top of the book case is an Angel that I bought at a yard sale.......

And another book case and shelf......

You may remember in a past post, I shared that I bought these Fairy Garden items in Dollar Tree last February......

On top of the shelf is a small white Tree that I decorated with small ornaments in the colors of the larger Tree.....

It is topped off with a vintage topper......

The Tree was placed in a cache pot with a pink toile pattern on it.....

I bought those cute cupcake ornaments recently at Ocean State Job Lot.......

The fairy garden pieces fit perfectly.....

I hope you enjoyed seeing Part 1 of how I decorated the Sitting Room for Christmas this year....

In my next post, I will be sharing the Sitting Room's faux fire place and mantel........

  1. Congratulations on the new grandpuppy!!! What a cutie pie!! And I am sure you love the once a day doggie sitting job, too.

I just love your little houses, especially the ones from your parents. I have some ideas for small houses, if I can ever go out shopping and find what I want.

  3. Wow, that is a lot of decorating. It made me wonder where you store everything the rest of the year? I guess I'm just nosy.
And, the photos are all inviting and new puppy is super cute.

    1. We have a storage shed that we rent for outside items..Our attic is floored so the majority of decorations are stored up there and there is a storage area under our stairs that I use too... We do not have a basement....
Thanks so much for stopping by!!
      Hugs,
