Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!
Today, I will be sharing my Christmas decorations in our Living Room......
For the most part, I stick to tradition and decorate the same way every year with a few little changes thrown in here and there to make room for some new decorations bought at after Christmas sales the year before......
I will be sharing our Living Room in the next 2 posts......
But before I continue with this post, I want to Thank Katie, over at Let's Add Sprinkles, for featuring my post, More Christmas Goodies and a Project!! from last week's Keep In Touch Link Party!!!
Thanks so much, Katie!!
Please stop by and link up to this lovely party!!!
We are going to start our tour of the Living Room by the front door.......
The front door is basically the only way we enter our townhouse as the back yard fence gate leads out to a steep slope that one would pretty much almost break one's neck on if they attempted to come and go through our back yard.....
I always like to hang Holiday Doo Dad's on the curtains on the front door......
You can see that I did the same for Christmas......
When you walk in the front door, directly to the right is this marble topped stand......
On the top of it is a large hurricane type candle with ornaments filling the base.......
And 2 Christmas bottles that I embellished.......
On the bottom shelf, is an Apothecary Jar filled with ornaments and topped with a bow.....
Sitting on a gold tray , also filled with ornaments......
A cute Santa head hangs to the side.....
Along the wall to the left of the front door is Joe's grandmother's Hutch.....
On each side of the hutch, are 2 shelves......
Before I go any further, the color theme for Christmas of this room is gold, red and green.......
A sweet angel sits on this shelf.......
I did things a bit differently this year on top of the hutch.......
Last year, my dear friend Anne Marie, gifted these vintage Choir Boys to me for Christmas and since the hutch is filled with Nativities and Angels, I thought this was the perfect place to display these amazing Choir Boys......
I also moved 2 gold glittered churches from where I usually displayed them in the Living Room, over here to the top of the hutch...
I also added set of battery operated lights to the top of the hutch along with gold mercury glass candle holders with battery operated gold candles...........
Inside the Hutch.....
Are Nativity sets and Angels......
I have to apologize for the glare coming off the Nativity scene on the middle shelf......
The top shelf......
The middle shelf....
The bottom shelf....
Again, on this side of the hutch is a shelf with another angel displayed on it.....
A Thomas Kinkade Christmas plate hangs above it.....
I replaced a few pictures from the collage going up the stairs with a few Christmas pictures and another Christmas plate......
Displaying some of my collection of Old World Santa's on the stairs has become a Christmas Tradition!!
I bought the Santa on the bottom step at Target because I thought he was different , dressed in green....
The other 3 Santa's were bought many years ago in Sam's Club.....
I have always loved how detailed they are!!
This is what you see when you walk in our front door.....
On the other side of the steps.....
Hanging on the wall is a swag that I made....
Below it is a Nutcracker and 2 lanterns that I bought in the Summer when the Sears store at the Mall by our home closed.......
I decorated the lanterns with a bow on top, a battery operated candle and some Christmas greenery inside......
Also on the steps are 2 gold Nutcracker candles, also gifted to me by my friend Anne Marie......
Looking down the hall way to the Kitchen and Powder Room.....
This is the area in front of the stairs
I like to use this area to display Seasonal and Holiday decorations.....
Including this vintage chair......
A few Beaington Bears and a Bear Nutcracker are resting on top of the chair....
Along with a candle and a snow globe.....
Underneath the chair......
Are 2 more lanterns that I bought in the Summer also at Sears on Clearance.....
I filled the smaller one with a skater doll that my Mother bought for me when I was a little girl.....
And the larger one holds a vintage Santa boot with a Santa head inside of it.....
I also added a few ornaments.....
Next to the lanterns is a small "Radio Flyer" sled.....
And a vintage style rocking horse.....
Next to the chair on a marble topped table is a 4 foot Tree which is one of two Trees in the Living Room ......
It is actually one of a pair of those pathway Trees which are supposed to be for the outside......
They make perfect small Trees to decorate......
I have decorated it with my vintage Shiny Brite ornaments.....
The Tree is topped off with a bow made from ribbon that I have used for several other bows through out the Living Room.....
The vintage Shiny Brite ornaments were bought at a church Flea Market......
At base of the Tree.....
I love the Post Office on it!!
Especially since Joe is a retired Letter Carrier for the United States Post Office!!!!!
A Curio is next to the table where the Tree stands.....
A swag that I made sits on top of the curio and a vintage style Santa head hangs on the wall to the side of the curio.....
A vintage style Christmas plaque hangs beneath the Santa head......
I added a few Christmas touches to the curio.....
A few ornaments and greenery......
An angel that I bought at a church Flea Market in the Summer sits on a drum like box on the side of the curio.....
Across from the curio .......
Is this vintage table.......
My Nostalgic Stereo System fits perfectly on top of this table that Joe found at an Antique Co Op.....
On each side of the hurricane lamp, are 2 Old World type Santa's that I bought last year at Gabes......
A snow globe with a Santa on a sled inside of it rests in the center,....
A vintage tea cup and saucer and mug......
On the "cubby" shelves......
A snow man.....
Carolers.....
A Lenox Christmas house....
More carolers and another Christmas house....
A snow man in a cloche......
A Bearington Bear sitting in a gold sled sits on the floor.....
And that completes Part 1 of my Tour of our Living Room decorated for Christmas.....
In my next post, I will be sharing Part 2 of our Living Room Christmas decorations.....
And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

ReplyDeleteDebbie,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed this. We are not decorating for Christmas because we will not be home but visiting. This helped. Wink
Thanks for posting at Funtastic Friday
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing with us at the Happy Holiday link party! I think it's a great idea to use the hutch to display all your nativity scenes. Pinned.
