I Will Honour Christmas In My Heart

I will honour Christmas in my heart,
and try to keep it all the year.
I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future.
The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me.
I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!

Christmas Fairy Land, 2016

Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!!!

If you have visited my regular Blog, Debbie-Dabble Blog, you may remember my Gnome and Fairy Gardens that I shared in the Summer......
In preparing and cleaning up the yard for the Winter, I took apart these gardens, cleaned up all the pieces, which was easy because I had sprayed them with a Sealant in the Spring before putting them outside and got ready to pack them away....

And then Joe called me and told me that they had Christmas Fairies and Elves at Big Lot's!!!!
Now they are offering 2 Christmas Fairy Sets....

They are $20 a set and I am sure they will be on sale soon but I did not want to buy a whole set when I already had several houses.

I did use a Rewards coupon and bought several Christmas Fairies and Elves.....

HERE is a link to their Christmas Fairy Items.......

I gathered together all of my Fairy Houses......
And decided to add a little "Snow" to them........
I cut pieces of "Snow" out of a white felt like Christmas tree skirt......
And taped them using surgical tape......
To the tops of the pieces......
I then applied some silver and white glitter to the pieces of "Snow".....
Then I checked my craft stash and I found some small bottle brush wreaths and trees......
I then used a sticky product that I have and use for my Doll House items, to apply them to the houses....
I can then take the wreaths off at the end of the season and simply wipe the sticky stuff off.....
I did see that Michaels now carries this product and sells it where their display of the Lemax Christmas Village is in their stores.....
I think I did a decent job of making my Fairy Houses look a bit Christmasy!!

I decided to create my Christmas Fairy Village under the Tree in the my upstairs Sitting Room.....
Yes, my entire upstairs is completely decorated for Christmas already.....

I didn't get really fancy and simply laid out the village on top of the tree skirt.....
I added some Christmas bottle brush trees......
I added greenery and a wreath to the arch......
The bottle brush tree with the ornaments was bought at Michaels.....
Don't you just love those Christmas Fairies and Elves.....
This bottle brush tree belonged to one of my neighbor's....
And that is my Christmas Fairy Village!!!

I added a strand of battery operated LED lights to light it up a bit.......
I am glad I will be able to enjoy my Village during the Christmas season.......
In my next post, I will be sharing the little changes that I made to our outside decorations in the front of the house.......
So I hope you will come by and visit  again!!

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

If you do not have a blog, PLEASE  give me some way to reply to your comment, maybe by including your email in your comment.  If I can not find a way to reach you, I will reply on the post where you commented so please check back......

Hugs,
Debbie

  3. Oh Debbie, your fairy gardens are wonderful. So festive! Big Lots, eh? Hmmmm. Maybe I'll take a drive there soon. You really do up everything in a big way. You you retain your child's heart and that is too awesome for words. Susan

  4. Debbie my dear hubby is going to ban me from reading your wonderful blog. I just HAVE to go to Big Lots now to search out the holiday fairies. You are too clever to add snow to the rooftops. I LOVE it! :)

  10. The little elves and fairy's are too cute and a great idea to use the houses you already had and just winter them up a bit, like the sparkle :) works great under your tree

  12. How fun! I love your fairy land, Debbie. I have a bird bath that I turned into a fairy garden a while ago. Last year, just after Christmas, I found a set of Christmas figures for it at 75% off at Michaels. I can't wait to set it up for Christmas this year. Thanks for sharing at Wrapping Up the Holidays Party!

  16. I enjoyed looking at your little fairy village. Fairies intrigue me.

After the presents are gone, underneath the tree looks so bare and lonely. Certainly not festive. Adding a little decor set like this would be a great way to spruce it up.
