Mrs. Claus's Kitchen, Hutch & Tree, Christmas Home Tour, 2023

Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog!!

Every room in our townhouse has a different Christmas Theme and Color Scheme!!

I prove that you do not have to live in a large home to have several Trees, over 20, in all shapes and sizes!!

The majority of my Christmas decorations are placed in the same room every year and I know that this is not what most Decorator's care for but to me, it like seeing old friends again when I decorate each year for Christmas as many of my decorations were gifts from family and friends...........

I do try to add a few new things and change up things a bit but for the most part, these decorations are part of my Christmas Traditions and bring back a lot of treasured memories.....

I post 3 TIMES A WEEK on MONDAY, WEDNESDAY and FRIDAYS!!!!

As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Today, I am starting my Tour of the Kitchen and it will be the first post showcasing my Christmas decorations downstairs.....

Today, I will be finishing up in the Living Room, completing my Christmas decorating inside the house , making my deadline of Thanksgiving Day...

The front of the house is half decorated as we are still waiting for the roofer to put on our new roof.....

In my last post, I shared some new buys, gifts and a craft fair.....

Click HERE if you missed that post!!

I had so much fun decorating my Kitchen this year as most of the new things I bought were for that room.....

For close to 20 years, I have been decorating the Kitchen in a baking, candy and gingerbread theme and this year, that theme is back in style and extremely popular.....

Especially on You Tube!!!

There were tons of Candy Cane, Hot Cocoa and Gingerbread Merch out there this year for Christmas and I had a really hard time containing myself....

With that being said, I will be sharing where I put all the new things that I did buy to answer the frequent question of "Where are you going to put it all?"

To make it easier, the following pictures are of the new things I purchased that you will see in this post.....

You can see more about these Buys by clicking HERE, HERE and HERE!!

These 2 gingerbread people were bought in Gabes and I think I forgot to share them.....

 Imagine that!!

You will see this sign in my next post....

 Okay then!

So let's start the Tour of Mrs. Claus's Kitchen!!

We will start today with what I always call my focal wall because it serves no purpose whatsoever in the Kitchen as far as cooking is concerned....

I got the idea to call my Kitchen decorated for Christmas this year, Mrs. Claus's Kitchen, because of this beauty.....

She has taken center place among the "Boys"

Meaning my 2 Kitchen Santa's that I have had for many years....

We will get back to her in a minute....

On the left side....

I decorated the pair of red shelves this year that my Dad made for me out of scrap lumber.....

You can see that I used 2 new gingerbread items ......

The mini Santa mug is one of a set of 4 that I bought on clearance at the end of last Season in Big Lot's.....

I hung this apron that I embellished on this side of the wall......

Over to the other side of the shelf.....

Hanging on the wall....

You can see I added some of the mini ornaments I bought to the gingerbread bakery sign that I re-did last year....

On the side of the hutch.....

And I hung this here this year.....

I also decided to hang this tray this year....

And since I hung the chopping board on the side of the Hutch, I did this chalkboard a bit differently too...

I wanted to cover up the apple time so I cut out the front of a Little Debbie's box and taped it here....

 For now....

I stacked these signs I had with the new mason jar sign....

Added a mason jar which was a gift to the milk carrier....

A side view of my Christmas Kitchen Tree.....

I kept the bow the same but added streamers in the new gingerbread ribbon.....

This Tree is decorated with gingerbread men....

Cookies....

Candy....

Kitchen Santa ornaments.....

Peppermint patty garland and ornaments and even a set of lights!!!!

I have amassed this collection over many years....

Now we will get to the Hutch!!!

As I mentioned, Mrs. Claus is overseeing the Kitchen as the elves bake cookies and make candy!!!

I bought both of the Kitchen Santa's in J.C. Penney's....

I moved the red and white trees up to the top of the Hutch this year....

The shelves on the Hutch have a baking theme going on.....

The top shelf

The cookie jar was a gift....

And I bought this ceramic Santa at Burlington one year for $5 after Christmas.....

I love how the green and white trees from Dollar Tree look on this Hutch.....

The gingerbread couple came from the Christmas Tree Shop....

Vintage cookie cutters in an antique glass cookie jar....

This charming gentleman came from Gabes a few years back.....

Bottom shelf.....

The lighter green bowl is here year round but this year, I decided to place it in this vintage brighter green bowl....

I also added a few Christmas touches to the contents....

I believe I bought this gentleman in Cracker Barrel.....

The gingerbread man mason jar came from The Christmas Tree Shop.....

Both the set of vintage Santa Salt and Pepper shakers and the peppermint patty cookie jar are flea market finds....

And that is how the shelves of the Hutch look for Christmas this year....

The desk area of the Hutch is Santa's Sweet Shop......

 The left side....

Hanging on this side is one of the amazing creations that my FB friend Angela gifted me!!!!

I filled 3 apothecary jars with candy....

The cupcake dishes were bought at the estate sale of a Florist and at The Christmas Tree Shop....

This sign sets the theme for the desk area....

See the Lump of Coal Cookies for those who have been naughty?????

This tiered serving dish was a gift from 2 friends who came to visit for a Christmas Luncheon one year....

See the red donut ornaments I bought at Walmart???

The serving dish is filled up with faux cookies, desserts and candy along with a few individually wrapped Little Debbie's goodies.......

 The right side.....

A "Milk for Santa" candle

A red baking sifter filled with a floral arrangement....

I removed the lamp that usually goes here and added a candle to go with all the other candles in this area......

And of course, I decorated underneath the Hutch......

I hung this sweet Santa wearing plaid that I bought in Dollar General from the drawer knob.....

Christmas plaid linens are what I have used in the Kitchen this year....

On top of my vintage metal picnic basket....

The 2 Santa head mugs were bought in Big Lot's last year on Clearance.....

The hot cocoa sign is new.....

I attached the new Candy Cane sign to this black stand ....

The chocolate nutcracker was purchased in Sears many years ago.....

I hung another one of Angela's gifts to me on the knob of this drawer....

Hanging on the right side of the Hutch....

And that is how the Hutch looks this Christmas....

Over on the right side of the wall....

The other red shelf that my Dad, who would be 104 years old now as his Birthday was the 17th, made for me....

More new items....

I hung these new ornaments here...

And I embellished the green apron that I found in Gabes to match the red one on the other side!!!

After going to 5 different Dollar Generals trying to find the boy gingerbread ornaments to match the girl ones I used on the red apron, I gave up and used 2 gingerbread ornaments that I already had on this apron!!!!

I think it works!!!

Below the chair rail.....

I bought the Life Saver wreath from a vendor at our church craft fair years ago!!!!

I am very happy with the way this wall and the Hutch looks this year....

The doorway out to the Den.....

This year, I decorated this shelf with a Baking Spirits Bright pie dish that I found at Dollar General in the early Summer....

I added trees from Ocean State Job Lot to the vintage Vasoline Glass tumblers and placed my cooking Santa salt and pepper shaker set from J. C, Penney's up here....

And a draped a glass candy garland and ribbon candy ornaments from the shelf....

I bought this plate on EBay a very long time ago....

And that concludes this post....

On WEDNESDAY, we will pick up at the stove area and work our way around the counter tops for Part 2 of my tour of Mrs. Claus's Kitchen.....
