Christmas Buffet and Hutch in a Pink Victorian Dining Room, Christmas Home Tour, 2022

Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog!!

Every room in our townhouse has a different Christmas Theme and Color Scheme!!

I prove that you do not have to live in a large home to have several Trees, over 20, in all shapes and sizes!!

The majority of my Christmas decorations are placed in the same room every year and I know that this is not what most Decorator's care for but to me, it like seeing old friends again when I decorate each year for Christmas as many of my decorations were gifts from family and friends...........

I do try to add a few new things and change up things a bit but for the most part, these decorations are part of my Christmas Traditions and bring back a lot of treasured memories.....

I am now posting 3 times a week !!!

I will be posting on TUESDAY, THURSDAY and SATURDAY

As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

Today, I will be sharing half of my Dining Room decorated in a pink Victorian theme for Christmas.....

In my last post, I shared how I changed my Pink Victorian style Powder Room into a Blue Winter Wonderland.....

Click HERE if you missed that post....

And now for a few Personal Notes...

 Food of the Week

This week's Reheat and Eat Dinners from the WB Scranton Pens Food Service.....

Joe got the Seafood Fra Diavolo

.

We will see how that goes especially the clams...YUCK!!!

Joey and I got the Grilled Chicken Alfredo with creamy Risotto

Both were good but the Seafood Fra Diavolo was too spicy for me....

Joe did actually eat half of his dinner....

On the weekend, I got all my Christmas gifts ready....

I stuffed all the cards I give to family with money from my "Christmas Club"

When I resigned from my job over 3 years ago, in an attempt to replace my $3500 Christmas Club ( also used that money to pay our Taxes), we started our own "Christmas Club" by putting away $25 a week.....

This now gives us all the money we need for gift giving from November to January as our son and DIL's Wedding Anniversary is in November along with both my son's Birthdays in December...

Since I have not bought presents in over 20 years, my sons, DIL and other family member are gifted money along with our hair dresser, mail man and Church...

Joe and I stopped exchanging gifts for all occasions about 20 years ago....

The money that is left over from my "Christmas Club", then goes to buy the Birthday and Holiday Dinners in December.....

Joe was scouting for a small Turkey Breast for Christmas Day Dinner and finally found this 5.2pound one!!

He also was able to nab this 3 pound boneless ham to go with the turkey....

And he also bought the sausage needed for my Dad's Sausage Filling that I also make for Christmas Day Dinner...

We still need to buy a few rings of Kielbasi

He was also pricing Lobster Tails for New Year's Eve Dinner and bought these at Sam's Club.....

We figure that each of these are close to 10 oz. each.....

Joe, Jim, Danielle and I will eat these along with scallops and shrimp on New Year's Eve where Joey, who does not like seafood, will eat Chicken Fingers....

I buy all my seafood  for Christmas Eve Dinner already cooked and I make a vat of lasagna for New Year's Day Dinner.....

Yes, I host all Holiday Dinners here at my home for our little family of 5....

December 7th was my youngest son Jim's 39th Birthday.....

Jim and our DIL Danielle celebrated with a trip to NYC!!

These are pictures taken when they toured SUMMIT One Vanderbilt. Midtown's Tallest Skyscraper!

 LOVE this picture of them!!!!

We hope to celebrate his Birthday on the weekend or early next week....

Today, I will be sharing half of my Dining Room decorated in a pink, gold and white color theme for Christmas.....

I always say that my Dining Room is my most Victorian looking room in our Townhouse that I call my very own "Victorian Bed and Breakfast"!

For ever since I can remember, the stores always had a pink Victorian themed section of Christmas decorations until about 10 years ago when any pink decorations vanished!!

I was so happy to see that pink is coming back and a few stores are now carrying it again this year!!!

BUT...

It never went out of style in my Victorian Dining Room!!!

We will start with the Buffet.....

We inherited the Dining Room furniture, which was Joe's Maternal Grandmother's, the year before we got married.....

In the corner....

A swag I made a very long time ago hung over a Home Interiors picture....

A Lenox Santa that was a gift on the shelf.....

I moved the lighted Branch Tree that is normally in the Living Room here to the Dining Room buffet for the Winter.....

This year I added gold Snowflakes to the white ones that I decorate this Tree with!!

I hung a Pink Santa picture, replacing the one that normally hangs there....

For several years now, I have decorated the Buffet with 2 ceramic sets from Sam's Club bought a long time ago!!

On a pedestal to the left side of the Buffet, is my handmade Old World pink Santa....

I bought him at a Craft Fair for only $50 as the woman was going out of business and retiring and selling everything for half price!!

On the left side of the Buffet.....

One of the Sam's Club sets is a family of 4 Snow Men....

And a Christmas tree also came with that set......

I elevated it on a cake pedestal.....

On a shelf above the center of the Buffet.....

A gold and white Santa bought many years ago at Burlington....

In the center of the Buffet, is the second Sam's Club Set.....

Santa, his sleigh and 2 of his reindeer....

You can see I scattered gold pine cones, gold snowflakes and pink ornaments throughout the display....

The gold trees were also bought in Burlington and the pink trees are from Michael's....

The right side of the Buffet.....

The other 2 of the Snowman Family....

I added a set of battery operated lights too!!

I hung stockings from the handles of the Buffet.....

All were gifted to me by friends....

Next to the Buffet, between that and the Hutch is a small Curio which was my neighbor Elly's....

On the wall above the Curio....

A Home Interiors mirrored shelf with one of a set of 3 Angels on it...

On top of the Curio, is a white and gold Church bought a long time ago in Big Lot's.....

The Victorian style figurines are actually a set of ornaments that I bought on EBAY a long time ago in the Summer and only paid $9.99 for them as no one was apparently looking for Christmas things then!!!!

At Christmas time, they sold for over $50!!

Pink and green bottle brush trees and pink ornaments also added....

I added some pink and gold ornaments and florals to the inside of the Curio...

On the floor in front of the Curio....

I bought this paper mache pink Santa in Salvation Army and ran across the store when I spotted him to grab him!!!

 LOL!

He was only $5!!!

A center piece I made in a gold sleigh....

The Hutch......

On top of the Hutch is a Home Interiors Nativity Set that I bought the very first year that we were married...

It is 44 years old!!

For many years, I displayed it here but then moved it into the Living Room Hutch for a few years but now it is back where it apparently belongs!!!!

The pastel colors of it go well in the Dining Room.....

I added bottle brush trees....

And Angel hanging over head....

A pink Church, bought at Target for a mere $5, sits in the center....

Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus are set in front of the church....

The 2 Angels in the back ground are also Home Interiors....

This year, I ran a set of Fairy Lights throughout the display....

Last year, I decided to change out my Moss Rose vintage dishes, normally displayed in this Hutch, for some of my red transferware Collection, Ruby Red depression glass and Indian Glass Colony Park Lane Clear Ruby Red Flash Vintage Glassware ....

I did the same this year back in October.....

And here it is now, decorated for Christmas......

I simply added gold tinsel trees from Ocean State Job Lot....

 Gold and white berry bunches....

 And gold mercury glass ornaments....

To the right of the Hutch is the vintage window room divider.....

I like to hang decorations on these dividers between the Dining Room and the Living Room....

Another pink Santa sign from Michael's....

A wreath a made several years ago.....

An Angel in the center.....

Angel wings hang below the wreath.....

Other years, I had a gold tinsel Tree here....

Yes!  I actually opted not to use a Tree this year but this gold tinsel Tree will make an appearance for Valentine's Day!

Joe bought this last year on Clearance at 90% off in Big Lot's....

Originally $80, marked down to 90% off and with a coupon, it was a little over $5!!!!

I did this with it this year....

The Blush colored Santa was bought at Big Lot's a few years back!

Gold cone trees for Dollar Tree are on each side....

More of those Victorian style figurines and a Lenox snowman ornament....

More pink bottle brush trees....

This display is set up on 2 large hat boxes covered with a vintage white table topper and handmade pink scarf that I bought on EBAY years ago.....

And this is where we will leave off for today's post.....

It took me 3 days to decorate the Dining Room....

Tree Count

  5. We don't exchange gifts or cards either. Don't need to make the card companies richer, and if we want something we just buy it and say that was your birthday gift, or your Christmas gift etc. We also give money to the kids and grandkids. But I always do buy something small for them to open, like a book or box of chocolates, etc. We also budget money during the year for this, so think we would get on really well. My decorating is done now, just sit back and enjoy. But I don't do nearly as much as you do. In fact I made a big donation to the thrift store of lots of Christmas items. It is just us now, hardly any company, so just do the living room. Have a wonderful day.

  6. I don't know why this always happens here but I get halfway through writing a comment and the page refreshes itself without warning and I lose it. So let me say, I love it all and beautifully done!

  7. I really like the fairly lights sprinkled on both those table vignettes; that is such a great idea and a cute way to add a bit of light and sparkle. I am loving those white and gold snowmen; you really have collected so many beautiful pieces through the years. Your holiday dinners sounds delicious!!
