Pink Victorian Dining Room Tree and More Vignettes, Christmas Home Tour, 2022

Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog!!

Every room in our townhouse has a different Christmas Theme and Color Scheme!!

I prove that you do not have to live in a large home to have several Trees, over 20, in all shapes and sizes!!

The majority of my Christmas decorations are placed in the same room every year and I know that this is not what most Decorator's care for but to me, it like seeing old friends again when I decorate each year for Christmas as many of my decorations were gifts from family and friends...........

I do try to add a few new things and change up things a bit but for the most part, these decorations are part of my Christmas Traditions and bring back a lot of treasured memories.....

I am now posting 3 times a week !!!

I will be posting on TUESDAY, THURSDAY and SATURDAY

As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

Today, I will be sharing the other half of my Dining Room decorated for Christmas in a pink, white and gold color theme....

And now for a few Personal Notes...

We were once again exposed to Covid through Joe's work but we have been testing and remain negative and have no symptoms.....

Nothing really new except I have been enjoying watching Christmas movies and specials and doing a bit of crafting and "puttering"

If anyone is interested HGTV will be showing their annual White House Christmas Special at 6 pm EST on December 11th!!!

Light snow is expected for tomorrow so I do hope to get pictures of the outside of our house with at least some snow on the decorations....

Will share if I do.....

We last left off here at the Hutch....

A "It's a Wonderful Life" sign with my Collection of Guardian Angel Plates.....

I joke every year about storing the Tree from the Dining Room in a body bag....

But it is no joke as it is stored down in the storage shed we rent in an actual body bag...

Remember that I am a retired nurse who worked in direct patient care for 41 years....

After removing it from the body bag, I plugged it in to be sure that the lights all worked on this 7 foot pencil thin Tree....

I then added the white tinsel garland to it....

I then moved it into the corner of the Dining Room....

I  topped it with what I call a "floppy" bow ( because of the soffit) that I made out of gold and pink ribbon.....

The streamers are made from a pink glittered ribbon....

I have collected pink and white Victorian ornaments for about 25 years....

I then tucked pink berry and white sparkly baby's breath picks into the Tree....

And now all finished and lit up!!!

It is the perfect fit in this tight corner!!!

I do like to hang things on the window divider but because of the size of the Tree, I only hung a pink Angel and a plaque that I made....

A white tree skirt bought at a church flea market....

One of my Victorian dolls on a pedestal to the side....

A manger on the tree skirt....

To the right of the Tree....

Joe gifted me this wall clock that he bought at J.C. Penney's many years ago....

Angels wings with a vintage style ornament in the center hang from it.....

And my pink Sitting Santa has a Bird's Eye view of the Dining Room from the top of the clock.....

On a marble topped plant stand next to the Tree is another pink Old World Santa....

Another flea market find....

My Home Interiors picture titled "May I Play?"

I added Christmas candle rings and Angel wings to the sconces on each side of the picture....

On the shelf, are 2 of a set of 3 Angels that were gifts and stars that were bought at Big Lot's last year....

In the corner by the Kitchen.....

The larger of 2 Curios in the Dining Room....

To the side of the Curio....

One of 2 white and gold Santa's that I have sits on this shelf....

On top of the Curio....

A gold glittered branch tree, a pink Angel and a white and gold Cardinal which was a gift....

Angel wings and a Victorian style ornament hang from the top of the Curio.....

I added some pink ornaments and florals to the inside of the Curio....

To the left side of the Curio on a marble topped antique table is my Funeral Basket that I decorate for the different Holidays and Seasons....

For Christmas, it is decorated with white and pink florals.....

Department 56 Snow Babies displayed on the table...

Another one of my Victorian Dolls....

I treat the pass through to the Kitchen like a window since there is no window in the Dining Room

I hung drapes and curtains and even a piece of stained glass...

A wreath I made hangs at the top of the "window"!

On top of a cabinet that my Dad made to match Joe's Maternal Grandmother's Dining Room furniture that we inherited a year before we got married....

I bought the Angel candle holders in Salvation Army many years ago....

A pink putz house ornament along with a Victorian style figurine....

A vintage crystal compote bowl filled with ornaments and berry picks....

This set of 3 figurines were gifted to me by my friend Anne Marie....

I also decorated the chandy!!

With chandy ornaments!!!

And also pink glittered stars and balls....

The table is set very simply as we eat dinner here every single day....

I have had this table cloth for over 25 years.....

And the gold vinyl poinsettia place mats are also close to that age.....

I made a simple centerpiece for the table using a charger plate, a Dollar Tree vase and cemetery candle and a small wreath....

You can also use a round tray.....

I placed a cemetery candle ( this one has a green candle) inside this large vase....

Now you can also put a battery operated candle inside this vase if you prefer....

This is a small wreath I made that I placed on top of the charger plate....

And then you place the vase with the candle in the center.....

I used to make these to sell at Craft Fairs but I glued the vase to the charger plate which I did not do for myself because it is easier to store when not glued together.....

You can change the wreath for different Holidays.....

And that completes the Tour of my Pink Victorian Dining Room decorated for Christmas this year.....

I hope you enjoyed seeing the style that I love, especially at Christmas....

It took me 3 days to decorate the Dining Room

Tree Count

Tree # 15

Only 2 more rooms left on my annual Christmas Home Tour!!!

On TUESDAY, we will move into the Living Room for a traditional red and green Christmas....

I will be sharing half of the Living Room in Tuesday's post including the main Tree and Village....

  1. So lovely. I love the stories behind all your pieces and the memories you share. Your dining room is just so elegant (and pink, my favorite color). I am really appreciating your decorating schedule and I am going to draw one up for next year. Our Christmas will be on Dec 17 so I can accommodate all the schedules and I am frazzled in a frenzy. I have done something to both my back and my knee which is just making life more frazzled and frenzied. Something has to change.

  2. Everything is just so gorgeous, Debbie! Love the colors and all your lovely decorations! So sorry you were exposed again to Covid. We've been very fortunate here in the last 3 years to not have been exposed. Hope you & your family continue to test negative. We had some sleet here this morning but no snow since we are a bit south from you. Can't wait to see your snowy outside decorations! Enjoy & Happy Holidays!

  3. Your room looks so elegant and festive, Deb. You have such a lovely ornament collection and I adore your Old World Santas. Your buffet is like a winter wonderland dressed in whites. Your attention to detail is spot on. Looking forward to the rest of the tour in upcoming posts. Have a very lovely week. Happy decorating. Hugs.
