A Pink Christmas in the Dining Room , 2021

Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog!!

Every room in our townhouse has a different Christmas Theme and Color Scheme!!

I prove that you do not have to live in a large home to have several Trees, over 20, in all shapes and sizes!!

The majority of my Christmas decorations are placed in the same room every year and I know that this is not what most Decorator's care for but to me, it like seeing old friends again when I decorate each year for Christmas as many of my decorations were gifts from family and friends...........

I do try to add a few new things and change up things a bit but for the most part, these decorations are part of my Christmas Traditions and bring back a lot of treasured memories.....

Just a reminder, I will be NOW posting 3 times a week as I realized that in some rooms, there is just too much to share in one post SO until the New Year, I will be posting on SUNDAYS, TUESDAYS and THURSDAYS so be sure to check back on those days to see a new post......

Today, I will be sharing my Pink Victorian Style Dining Room in it's Christmas Finery.....

This post is a day late as I am trying to get back on Schedule after having my last post, which was almost finished in it's entirety after 4-5 hours of working on it, just disappear on me into oblivion!!!!

After working hard and completely rewriting a whole other post, I truly had no time nor desire to include personal notes in that one as I was at my wit's end!!!

I want to Thank Bev, over at Eclectic Red Barn, for choosing my post, Colorful Christmas Fireplace in the Sitting Room,as one of her features from last week's Thursday Favorite Things Link Party!

Thanks so much, Bev!

Please stop by and link up to this lovely party!

On to some personal notes...

Joe went to pick up the nut roll that we get for the Holidays from a friend of a friend of a friend.....

We have been buying this for several years now as it tastes the closest to what my mother's tasted like....

We also got 2 rolls for my niece Renae.....

I will start my baking next week as there was no way I could do that with Little Faye here for the week....

Here she is on my chair in the Den as she learned if she sits on this chair, she can see into the Kitchen.....

And since we had temps in the 20's here in the mornings, we did manage to get an old sweater of hers on her to go outside in.....

She did try to pull it off but she couldn't as it was snug on her....

I think her days of getting dressed in outfits, ended last year after she figured out how to pull them off.....

And here she is sitting with Joe who is, as usual, totally oblivious!!!!

Have I mentioned how exhausted I am after watching her for a week???

I am tired from doing nothing!!!

I am used to doing a lot of physical things around the house like moving tubs, hauling them up and down from the attic, cleaning, etc.

This sitting around, entertaining a 10 pound Yorkie, has literally done me in!!!

My job was a very physical job where I was mostly on my feet for a good part of my 8 hour shift....

I still can not get used to sitting....

I have a lot of cleaning, baking and other things to do next week and I know, I will feel so much better for it!!!

In my last post, I shared another part of my Christmas Kitchen.....

Click HERE if you missed that post....

Now on to the Dining Room which I am going to do in one post....

We will start in this corner by the buffet......

I mentioned that this in my most Victorian looking room in the house and it is painted in a Rose color....

I decorated in pink, white and gold for Christmas......

The swag I made many years ago actually has sage green crystalized apples even though I think they look blue in these pictures....

The Lenox Santa holding a present wrapped in pink ribbon was a gift from a friend....

In the corner on the floor.....

A hand made Santa that I bought at a craft fair.....

I switched out the one picture on the wall for this Santa sign...

I moved the LED lighted branch Tree from the Living Room into the Dining Room and decorated it with snowflakes....

For a few years now, I decorated the buffet using 2 sets of white and gold ceramics from Sam's Club.....

On this side of the buffet.....

I bought the pink cone tree in Micheal.s.....

I used this cake pedestal to elevate the Christmas Tree from the one set...

On the shelf above the buffet.....

One of 2 white and gold Santa's.....

Between the buffet and the hutch is a small curio.....

 Above the curio.....

 An old Home Interiors shelf....

 On top of the curio....

The figures are actually from a set of vintage ornaments that I bought a long time ago on Ebay....

On the floor in front of the curio......

The Santa was only $5 in Salvation Army many years ago!!

On top of the hutch.......

This is the Nativity set that I bought 43 years ago from Home Interiors......

 We'll take a closer look....

I bought the pink church in Target for $5.....

I like the more muted pastel colors of this Nativity.....

In previous posts, I shared that I changed out my Moss Rose dishes for red transfersware and ruby red depression glass dishes in the hutch for Christmas....

I added a bit of gold inside the hutch to make it look more like Christmas....

Simple addition of the gold tinsel trees that I bought in Ocean State Job Lot, gold ornaments and gold and white berries....

And 2 gold Trees from Dollar Tree on the middle shelf....

Except for the gold tinsel trees, I used things I had on hand....

Hanging on the window divider between the Dining Room and the Living Room....

A wreath I made....

This year, I decided to move my Funeral Basket that I decorate for each Season and Holiday over here by the hutch......

I filled it with faux white branches and pink glittered floral picks....

More of those vintage styled figures.....

 On the soffit.....

I use a 7 foot pencil Tree in the corner of the room.......

We store it down our Storage Shed....

I keep the lights on it when I store it.....

I find it easier to start decorating it in the Living Room before I move it into the Dining Room.....

I added the pink bow and ribbon streamers in addition to a snow white tinsel garland....

When I moved it into the corner, I started to decorate it with the ornaments that I collected for years....

Most of them are in the Victorian style....

I then added pink floral picks and sparkly white baby's breath to the Tree....

And turned the lights on....

At the base of the Tree.....

I bought this Santa in Big Lot's....

Hanging on the divider is a pink Victorian styled stocking and an angel.....

On a marble topped plant stand next to the Tree.....

I bought this Santa at a church Flea Market.....

Christmas florals and angel wings on the sconces on each side of the "May I Play?" picture......

Angels that I moved here to this shelf from the Living Room hutch.....

In the corner by the Kitchen......

The other white and gold Santa.....

I set up this gold tinsel Tree on the marble topped table where the funeral basket usually is.....

Making this my 3rd Tree in the Dining Room.....

I topped it with a pink star and a bow that matches the larger Tree.....

Angel wings and a candle ornament at the top.....

I was gifted several Department 56 Snow Babies over the years so I hung the 2 ornaments on the Tree.....

And 2 Snow Babies are underneath the Tree.....

On top of the curio in the corner.....

My Sitting Santa was gifted to me by a friend.....

A pink angel, a gold glittered branch tree and a white and gold cardinal that my friend Anne Marie gifted to me.....

Angel wings hang from the top of the curio......

I added a few ornaments and poinsettias to the inside of the Curio..

A wreath that I made hangs on the faux window........

On the cabinet that my Dad made to match Joe's maternal Grandmother's Dining Room furniture.....

I filled a vintage crystal compote bowl with ornaments.....

The white 3 figure set was also gifted to me by my friend Anne Marie.....

And lastly, the chandy!

I hung white chandy ornaments from it......

And that completes my tour of our Dining Room decorated for Christmas.....

  1. If it were up to me, I would have an entirely pink Christmas. I love each and every piece. We have started on the living room and, gosh, I don't know how you do it all. Your comments about Faye make me feel better. I am blaming it on the toddlers this year.

  2. Well I was going to simply say,
    Pretty in pink
    But I think maybe
    Gorgeous and glittery
    says it better.
I don’t always comment but I am always visiting and admiring.
    Just lovely.
    Blessings to you 💜
