A Merry & Bright Vintage Christmas in the Sitting Room, the Faux Fire Place, Christmas Home Tour, 2023

Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog!!

Every room in our townhouse has a different Christmas Theme and Color Scheme!!

I prove that you do not have to live in a large home to have several Trees, over 20, in all shapes and sizes!!

The majority of my Christmas decorations are placed in the same room every year and I know that this is not what most Decorator's care for but to me, it like seeing old friends again when I decorate each year for Christmas as many of my decorations were gifts from family and friends...........

I do try to add a few new things and change up things a bit but for the most part, these decorations are part of my Christmas Traditions and bring back a lot of treasured memories.....

I post 3 TIMES A WEEK on MONDAY, WEDNESDAY and FRIDAYS!!!!

 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Today I will start to share how I decorated the Sitting Room upstairs with brightly colored Christmas decorations with a vintage flare.....

In my last post, I shared how I decorate my Craft Room in a sage green and pink color theme for Christmas!!

Click HERE if you missed that post!!

I am going to be sharing my upstairs Sitting Room in 2 posts....

I originally planned to share the flocked Tree and several vignettes in the room in this post but it was a busy weekend and I did not get to take the pictures that I wanted to take for that post so I deferred it til Wednesday....

So......

Today, I will be sharing how I decorated the faux fireplace in this room......

Once again, I will start at the door of the Sitting Room....

Another wreath that I made to match the colors that I used in decorating this room for Christmas.....

Hanging from the wreath is a set of brightly colored bells....

As I have mentioned in past years in every post I do on this faux fireplace, this is what it originally looked like...

I found it in my MIL's neighbor's house when she was moving to a Nursing Home and her family was cleaning out the house....

They were going to throw it out...

When I saw it, I automatically thought......

A Fire Place!!!!!

Yep!!

I turned what I think was originally a martini bar into this!!!

In the Spring and Summer months, I decorate the Sitting Room in a Garden theme because of the floral wall paper border.....

This is how I decorated the Fireplace last year for Christmas...

I changed it up again this year and went back to putting my 3 foot Tree on the wooden pedestal...

Let's start on the left side....

I hung bright pink snowflakes on the gold branches and on the sconces.....

This year, I moved the branch trees up onto the crystal pedestal.....

I bought the bottle branch tree at J. C. Penney's several years ago.....

When cleaning out my neighbor Elly's attic for her sons, I found a bundle of vintage Christmas platform fencing!!!!

This is one piece of it.....

I believe that is might be hand made ....

I thought it would be a good back drop .....

The fence is along the back of the "mantel"...

I bought the silver church in Target many years ago....

The snowmen were all bought in Boscov's....

Notice the colors in the wall paper border....

I chose to decorate this room in those colors for Christmas....

Like on this 3 foot white Tree....

Almost all of the ornaments, ribbons and the tree topper were bought at Target on Clearance after Christmas one year......

On the pedestal.....

And under the pedestal......

The wood slices are ones that Joe cut for me when he cut huge branches off our lilac tree and I sealed them polyurethane......

The blue church also came from Target....

On the right side.....

At the end of the Summer, we were lucky enough to stumble upon the 90% off Clearance sale of Summer merch at Big Lot's.....

I bought 2 sets of these globe lights with white wires....

Perfect to use on the white garland that I use on the fire place.....

The cord was also long enough that I was able to run the lights along the fence in the back.....

Last year, I added flocked garland to the white garland to tie it in with my new flocked Tree in this room...

The "hearth" area.....

 On top of the lantern.....

 Vintage angels....

This year, I left out the pots that are normally filled with greenery......

I placed large bright pink ornaments inside the pots.....

Inside the lantern is a box with a house on top of it....

 And a Bear Tea Party....

And that is how I decorated the fireplace and mantel this year for Christmas.....

In my next post on WEDNESDAY, I will be finishing up my Tour of the Sitting Room.....

So I hope you will stop by to visit again on WEDNESDAY!!
