Christmas in the Craft Room, Christmas Home Tour, 2022

Welcome to my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by my Christmas Blog!!

Every room in our townhouse has a different Christmas Theme and Color Scheme!!

I prove that you do not have to live in a large home to have several Trees, over 20, in all shapes and sizes!!

The majority of my Christmas decorations are placed in the same room every year and I know that this is not what most Decorator's care for but to me, it like seeing old friends again when I decorate each year for Christmas as many of my decorations were gifts from family and friends...........

I do try to add a few new things and change up things a bit but for the most part, these decorations are part of my Christmas Traditions and bring back a lot of treasured memories.....

I am now posting 3 times a week !!!

I will be posting on TUESDAY, THURSDAY and SATURDAY

As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

Today I will be sharing how I decorated the Craft Room for Christmas....

In my last post, I shared my decorations in the upstairs hallway....

Click HERE if you missed that post!!

And now for a few Personal Notes...

 Food of the Week

The Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, which is 10 minutes from us, held a Soup and sandwich Sale on Election Day as their hall is used as a polling Place....

Joe bought a quart of chilli

Topped with cheese and onions!!

Joe ate most of this but I did have a small bowl......

It was very tasty!!

We also got 3 pulled pork sandwiches that came with a small container of cole slaw and 2 different types of sauces....

We have had their pulled pork before and it was delicious as ever!!

This week's Reheat and Eat Dinners from the WB Scranton Pens Food Service.....

Joe and I both got the Chicken Cordon Bleu with Quinoa & Rice Pilaf & Roasted Carrots.....

Will you look at the height on this piece of chicken!!!

Since we both could only eat half of this for our Meal of the Day, we got 2 day's worth of dinners out of this one!!!

And after sharing all that food, here is what I looked like when I went shopping last Saturday....

Down 32 pounds now since June 1st....

As I mentioned before, I am no longer "hiding" and not letting anyone take my picture like I did for many years...

If I can get down to 35 pounds lost by the end of November and then not gain any weight in the month of December, I will be very happy!!!

Time will tell....

Decorating Update:

The entire upstairs was done by October 31st along with the Den downstairs....

I also got the outside and the Powder Room finished....

I packed up Fall in the Living Room and Halloween in the Dining Room and will be working on the Living Room which usually takes me at least 5 days.....

So far so good and right on schedule to be completely finished by Thanksgiving Day so i can then sit back, relax and enjoy the Christmas season!!!

As I mentioned in previous posts, I hang wreaths on all of the inside doors, reflecting the color theme of the room and Christmas decorations....

This is the wreath that I made for the Craft Room door....

The color theme for the Craft Room is pink and green......

I bought this calendar from Avon when my sons were very young and they used to take turns moving the mouse, counting down to Christmas.....

 Now I do it!!

I did not really change much in this room from last year but I do realize some may not have saw the post from last year.....

I made this wreath out of paper mache cones last year.....

This wreath pays homage to my Dad, who started to do crafts after his construction accident to keep busy......

He made this wreath, using thread spools that my Mother would bring home from the Sewing Factory where she worked full time....

I covered the cones with music sheet paper for my wreath....

I hung it over the chalkboard that I have hanging on the closet door....

On top of a vintage pink hamper where I store fabric, sits an Angel I made last year out of a clay pot.....

On top of a shelf unit........

The vintage lamp was one of 2 that were my Mother's......

 I embellished the shade.....

A Dollar Tree house that I painted pink and a putz house bought at Joann Fabric's years ago.....

I bought the pretty pink angel from a fellow vendor at our church's Craft Fair....

The Santa is from Home Interiors....

The sweet pink and green figurines with the bunny and deer were gifted to me by my friend Anne Marie....

The pink and green Santa's were bought at a church flea market for 25 cents each many years ago!

This is a Victorian feather style Tree....

I draped pink and green beaded garland that I cut in pieces to mimic icicles....

The green house is an ornament and another painted Dollar Tree house....

 In the evening....

The chandy that I created which hangs over my work table....

I strung a pink swag light through an old chandy that I bought at a yard sale and stripped the electrics out of...

I decorated the chandy which hangs slightly above the light fixture....

This Tree, that I bought at a yard sale many years ago for $5, stays up year round.....

This was how I decorated it this Summer.....

Click HERE if you want to read about how I decorated this Tree for the Summer with ice cream cones, cupcakes, popsicles, birds, tea cups and butterflies!!

And  I even made some of my own ice cream cones which can easily be made for Christmas decorating too!

Or you can create Christmas cupcakes which I may be looking into making....

I stripped the Tree down to the lights and garlands....

I topped it with white feathers, an Angel and a pink and white stripped ribbon bow....

The streamers are sewing ribbon that I had in my stash!!

I started decorating it with pink ornaments...

And I added some of my Special ornaments....

These picture frame tea pot ornaments, that I bought on EBay years ago, always grace this Tree...

 My Dad and Joey...

The last picture taken of my mom before she passed away...

 And My Dad with Jimmy....

This spider ornament also graces the Tree year round....

It was gifted to me by my friend Anne Marie....

 I love this!!

And this angel hair ornament is one that my mother bought for me when I was very young....

 More ornaments....

I made these out of the boxes you get when you buy jewelry!

 Christmas figures....

I tucked pink and white striped poinstettias from Dollar Tree to fill in the Tree.....

And all finished......

I am just going to let the pictures do the talking...

At the base of the Tree.....

An Ice Skate planter bought at the Christmas Tree Shop filled with the same pink and white striped poinstettias from Dollar Tree.....

And a pair of friends sit on this bench year round!!

I made the tree skirt.......

Hanging on the wall next to the Tree....

I took these pictures yesterday morning with the Sun shining on the Tree with no lights turned on!!

The shelving on the wall in the corner.....

The beautiful mini room box of my Craft Room that my dear FB friend Angela Leigh crafted for me!!

I will treasure this forever!!

Below the shelves....

Another small Tree decorated in pink and green.....

On top of a shelf unit....

In the corner is the other lamp that was my Mother's......

I bought the pink and white house at Cracker Barrel years ago....

I bought 2 of these pink churches along with a blue and a silver one at Target many years ago for $5 each at 75% off!!

The other one is used in my Dining Room with my Nativity Set ......

The figurines are a mix of vintage and new!!

I made the pink tree out of wood ice cream spoons.....

On a shelf by my sewing machine table.....

Is a frame that I bought at a church Flea Market....

"Friendly and full of love, December's child is a gift from above"

Both my sons were born in December!!

And after 2 years of what I call my "Screaming Meamie"  Santa pictures, I gave up on having their picture taken with Santa!!!

Near the door....

A vintage milk glass hurricane lamp that was my neighbor Ellie's....

An Angel......

And that completes the Tour of my Craft Room for this Christmas.....

It took 2 Days to decorate this room.....

  2. Hi Deb: I love the story of the Christmas spider. I had never heard it. I am thinking I might add tinsel to my tree this year. I never used tinsel because the kids didn't like it. I do and my Mom did and we usually had it on our tree each year, one strand at a time!! That is probably why my kids didn't like it because I followed my mother's orders! You are looking very beautiful. You really did lose the weight. Everything Christmas looks so pretty so far..Happy Thursday..xxoJudy

  7. I love the different color combinations in your Christmas decor! It's refreshing to see not all red-and-green decorations for Christmas. I love the pink/lavender/green/ and gold decorations. Thank you for sharing this post in the Talent-Sharing Tuesdays Link-Up 42.
